  1. I'd recommend Xen's Planet Collection. Lots of small packs - you can pick and choose what you want. (Oh, and they look good too!)
  2. Why is that the more logical part of the world? Technically speaking soccer is the more precise term as it eliminates and chance for confusion with other football games like Rugby Football so wouldn't that be the logical term? Does this mean your stadium isn't loading properly in 1.1? I haven't really tested whether it woks or not. And as for soccer vs football, you play it with your feet. However, soccer is a better determining term, as you said (typed?).
  3. You make a good point. However, habit will occasionally overrule intention - I realize now that the more logical part of the world call soccer/football the latter. And, on another note, I will probably build a new stadium now that 1.1 has dropped - please don't rush me!
  4. If I may make a suggestion, I would love to see planets around some of the default GN stars. (Especially Algok!)
  5. Anyone else thinking of Rendezvous with Rama?
  6. I hope that this is 1.1 compatible, because if so, I can download ALL OF THESE MODS! Seriously, great job. Keep it up!
  7. Well, I hope this isn't some horrifically twisted April Fools' joke! Thanks, @sal_vager!
  8. Look at @Stratzenblitz75, they landed on both Eve and Eeloo, and returned with just SRBs. (Not in the same mission!) (I'm amazed too.)
  9. I prefer the old one, but I think it would be better if the "Kerbal International Aerospace Administration" didn't run on to the green.
  10. Okay. Yes, I want 1.1 too, and, yes, I would be overjoyed if it was released with full features tomorrow, so I can make full use of those 8 gigs. HOWEVER, I am willing to wait for it, because it's worth waiting for. If you aren't willing to wait for it, that means you don't really value it that much in the first place. By the way, if you happen to have 3 terabytes of RAM, then you can obviously buy the whole Steam library without a second though and run it all at the same time, in which case you've probably got something you like to play until 1.1 drops. Have a nice day.
  11. I'll just say that these two mods are now some of my favorites. I really like the aesthetic and in-game design. Very good for your first mod, although I noticed some pixel ridges on Beros's normal map. I look forward to seeing more!
  12. I've you've got memory to spare, then get K.A.S.E. It makes the stock planets look GORGEOUS!
  13. What I would love would be shiny engine parts and stuff, a bit like KSPRC adds, but hopefully without the RAM chomping.
  14. In my humble opinion, NH is perhaps the best planet pack still alive. If you want to change it, then that's your choice, but I'm sure that, whatever the result, it will be splendid. I'd go for option 2 or 3, though.
  15. Okay, let me say a few rebuttals. Patched Conics - Try flying without them, then decide whether you like that better. They aren't perfect, but they're a whole lot better than flying blind. Stability - KSP isn't designed to be exact-to-life, hence the 1/10 scale planets, tiny astronauts and variable thrust for all the engines. Struts are a Kerbal thing, designed to give the game a little bit of fun while adding a useful tool. Planetary Exploration - In real life, Mars isn't too interesting past the occasional dust storm. Same with the Moon, or Europa, or Pluto. Just about everything is boring except Io. The interesting part comes from what we bring there. If you think Duna's boring, bring a dune buggy! Blocks text wall, returns for 2000 damage.
  16. If you need names, testing, science reports, etc. I'd be happy to help. I'm not too good with Kopernicus, though, but I think I'm pretty good at writing.
  17. Sounds interesting. I don't remember seeing any other brown dwarf packs on the forums. Good luck! (I'd be happy to come up with planet names!)
  18. Friends, Kerbals, countrymen, lend me your ears! Seeing as most Kerbals get rather annoyed of watching rockets explode for fun, (Mortimer hates it too!) I've decided to provide a *slightly* safer (and cheaper!) option for Kerbal recreation! A soccer/football (depending on where you live) stadium with seats for 90 kerbs! (You could probably fit twice as many if you crammed 'em in there!) NOTES: 373 parts, so it's not potato-friendly. (I had to uninstall my custom skybox ) Very wobbly, I had to omit struts to keep it from being totally unusable. This means it performs best on low-gravity worlds like Minmus. Turns, but VERY VERY slowly, so don't plan on doing acrobatics. Full stock, but if you wanted, you could Kerb-Paint the ground for realism. DON'T try to launch this in a rocket! Explosions, both of the stadium and most computers. Download at KERBAL-X! So, thank you all for reading this text, and good luck!
  19. Will this opt-in be only if you have Steam, or only if you've bought KSP on Steam?
  20. So, a few answers, I hope: Radiators aren't good heat shields, but they're good at rejecting heat from specific parts. Not a good bet for reentry, better if you're dealing with part-specific (ISRU) or overall (Sun-diving) heat. Best aero-protection for motherships are fairing used as heat shields (Think of attaching a UFO to the front of the ship). Not stylish, but quite protective, used correctly. Don't dip so low, if you're overheating. Atmospheric pressure does contribute quite a bit to heating. Finally, consider gravity assists, and plain old thrusting. SRBs will slow you down quite a bit if you want, and overall, this might be the best solution if nothing else works. This is all I could think of, so I hope that it works.
  21. Do your Kerbals hate walking from point A to B? Are your planes reminiscent of popcorn? Do your rockets run out of fuel before they reach the Island Runway? If so, then you deserve to be totally disappointed at the wheel of the Kerbal Kar 1! 67 parts mean that you can *almost* run it on a potato, while your Kerbs don't have to run at all! Operates *kinda* perfectly on other planets (see second picture)! So do not delay! Get it today! Only *oh-whoops-I-was-playing-in-sandbox-mode* for a *semi* operating model! DOWNLOAD AT KERBAL-X Issues: No reaction wheels, pack 'em if you're doing some flips. No lights, don't drive at night. (Or just turn on the Kerbals' helmet lights Mildly explosive. (Yes, those are solar panels being used as a grille)
  22. Great job! From rover to plane, I suppose.
  23. I was planning to make it a dragon originally, but couldn't get the wings right! However, a RT-5 in the mouth could create a bit of an ... intimidation factor!
