  1. Soooo what if like the .50cal turrets were allowed, but only on big planes, (you might limit it by weight or crew capacity) and limited to like 4 a plane? It would open it up for bigger, less maneuverable planes without giving them a huge advantage. I understand that there needs to be limits, but I simply don't believe that we need this many. Also rocket powered planes were sorta common in WWII, maybe allow the Swivel and Reliant alongside the Flea and Hammer?
  2. I know the Juno is allowed, but the OP specifically bars closed cockpits. The OP overrides the rest of the thread. If they are actually allowed according to @Wildcat111, then I would appreciate the OP being updated to reflect it.
  3. Well this looks interesting, and I was planning on entering, but I'm sorry, there are just too many restrictions. You can't use closed cockpits?! What the heck? Come on! There were closed cockpits in WWII! No turrets? There were turrets in WWII! Take the B-17! Closed cockpits AND turrets! The B-24! Same thing! I'm sorry, but this is more WWI style. The only thing that makes it WWII style at all is that the Juno is allowed. And even that's not nearly as powerful as some of the jets they had in WWII. Take some of the German jets for example.
  4. Hey @HatBat, would you please consider allowing this mod? It only has one part, and it makes things invisible. Uses electricity in a ratio to the surface area of your craft. Not invisible to radar, but I thought it could be used for the space destroyers.
  5. Dunemy Kerman would have to be my favorite. He took over as main pilot in my career save after I sent the original four out on what would become a 5 to 10 year science mission. They're still there, thanks to a contract I had to expand it, but I never have time to do it, and each time I say I'm gonna bring them home, I see the contract and think: "Oh I should really do that first....." So Dunemy is the replacement for them. Thank heavens he's a good pilot.
  6. A few of my personal favorites (in a spoiler for length reasons): Enjoy!
  7. I am on mobile. Well, for the screenshot, anyway. But it went away after a few reloads. Still kinda weird.
  8. @kepicness, love your mission! @everybodyelse, [] what happened to the thread? It looks like it just died!
  9. Oh. Well I didn't know that. I literally googled "KSP Memes" and got them from there. Oops. I guess every KSP meme on the Internet has been posted here already. Still, they're some of my favorites.
  10. Okay... So here are a few of my favorite ones: Classic Jebediah! Once again, absolutely classic Jeb and Bob! These are all from Google, and they made me laugh.
  11. Dang it! Out of likes already?!
  12. Poor guy lol. He's gonna be fish slapped into next month.... Still, all in good fun.... [WHACK] [thump] Heheheheheheheheheheheheee!!
  13. Ummm... Question. Why did my notification say @CAKE99 mentioned me in the OP when clearly I did not make the game?
  14. Sooooo.... I was on the forums this morning when I noticed this: It literally says that I have -2 notifications! How is that... Whaaaa? Something's wrong with that. Could someone please tell me if it's like a freak incident, or if it's a bug, cause now it's getting annoying. I have no idea if I'm reporting this in the right place, but I'm just a bit weirded out.
  15. What do you mean? I haven't noticed any.... I think.... But then I haven't looked.
  16. Ummmm.... Hello? I've been using it the whole time. Handy for engines. Don't I count? I was bummed it got removed. It is also possible that people who use merely forget to mention it.
  17. Yeah but if the layers have space between them, the heat from one plate won't transfer to the next. This takes a while to beat down. If the plates are slapped right on top of each other, hits will heat multiple layers of armor at once. Believe me, I've tested this. I'm not saying they are invulnerable, but I am saying that it is a way to maximize the time your craft can survive under steady fire. Time is everything. The best tanks can lose a ton of parts, but still do their job. If you want to test it, get my Personnel Carrier and my Soulflare off of KerbalX, and see how they fare. Still not a submission.
  18. @Dtpain, nice craft! I would recommend withholding submissions until after the next episode, which, if I understand @HatBat correctly, is almost done. After it comes out, we will have a new thread solely for submitting ships, while this remains the discussion thread. I'd be interested to see how your tank faces off against my tanks and personnel carriers! Also if you're open to feedback, structural panels make excellent armor, being heat resistant and cheap. Link to my tank: https://kerbalx.com/Mycroft_33/Viper-1 With it, I experimented with having radiator armor. It actually works well. This is not a submission, by the way.
  19. 5/10 Who wants their space craft to work?
  20. Same here! Happy second anniversary! @katateochi, we can't thank you enough!
  21. Thanks for the help! I have actually found the sweet spot though, and the wheels work fine.
  22. The HX engines have a first mode with a ton of power and abysmal ISP, and a second mode with low thrust and reasonable efficiency. Thought you might know, but wanted to be clear.
