Ahh, I must have missed that sentence. But the premise... *shakes head*

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/technology/this-man-is-about-to-launch-himself-in-his-homemade-rocket-to-prove-the-earth-is-flat/ar-BBFs6N8?li=BBmkt5R&ocid=spartanntp This is coming close to the limit of how smart you can be while still being stupid. I mean, come on, seriously? This just makes me sad. He was previously injured in the first of his launches - and now after this one he wants to actually go several miles up to prove that the Earth is flat. I mean, literally, balloons will go higher most likely.

Not directly KSP, but related... I'm editing the first video for the SRB grand tour and I've had the way the music syncs with the flight events imagined for months now, but now I just realized I can't use the music without it being illegal. Hooray.

7540m. If I had to choose one point on Eve where I thought the most players had been, it would probably be that point right there. Oh, yeah, and there's also the SRB lander in the background... First video in that series is currently being edited.

@ChrisSpace Yup, NASA does this as well. However, the difference at this time seems to be that NASA has definitely settled on a plan (even if it is an expensive and potentially obsolete one). The more heavy lifters, the merrier, in my opinion. Also another thing to realize, provided the rocket actually flies it will probably get a paint scheme other than "white."

NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!! RIP 2017 Falcon Heavy. -
I could think of worse looking rockets.

Asymetry? That will be interesting... If it flies... It seems like they choose one plan, spend a year or two (and lots of money) on it, and then scrap it and move to something else... I really hope they can settle on a plan...

Just now found this somehow. I got to part 13 but I really shouldn't stay up much longer... A few things: 1. AWESOME. 2. I need to find time to read all of these, I know there was at least one other similar story you made (OPM travelling circus). 3. I'm totally going to start putting flags around the flagpole like you do. 4. You're making me want to do a career with BARIS/a different planet system. Absolutely loving this!

After a lot of quickloading, a dozen aerobraking passes, one solar panel explosion, and lots of frustration... Low Eve Orbit at 30 degrees inclination has been achieved. I was going to land tonight, but it's 11:00 and tomorrow is Monday... GRR! Also, I only had 4 solar panels and now I have three... So, hopefully it will be enough.

I legitimately cried a bit reading that. Once the BFR is flying, though... Maybe... Bring. Him. Home.

SRB Grand Tour has arrived in Low Eve Orbit. Except it's only inclined at 5 degrees and the landing site is at -25 degrees. If I burn all of my fuel I can reach 8 degrees. Time to reload a quicksave... Somewhat more technical info:

Gnome of the Quintessential lane is Snoopay.

You could also switch the order of the notes and it would be stepping down. And, yes, you're right! Seventh position is a pain... Luckily I've got a trigger trombone now...

Okay, is this going to be a shared savefile challenge, or a shared crafts challenge with 1 person launching all of them? Also, can I do the airlock? -
Some of the charm behind the game is the ability to make your own ending, dream up your own storyline... It could be an end of the world story if you desire.

I hereby award anyone who gets that last one a free internet cookie.

Your creepiest/loneliest KSP moments!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA I. Need. To. Reinstall. OPM. But I have so much else to work on... But I want to so badly!!!!! Eve's north pole is also pretty spooky. Not as bad as Duna, but still enough to be worthwhile visiting. -
I got bored once and was daydreaming about venus glider/lander probes launched in batches of 10. It took several launches before one of them successfully landed. Yeah, I was really bored that day.
-
Nooooo. @NSEP,

Back in my day, reusable rockets were cool and only three companies had ever succeeded in making them! You kids have it so easy today, with your fancy space elevators and point to point rockets... When I was your age we had launches every few days and ENJOYED them, not complained about the noise!

I tried to go to Eve with the grand tour ship but it didn't work out well the first time... After 45 seconds in game the Kraken tears the ship apart. This is probably because the ship is so long and flimsy. There will be a MK2 booster module for the refuelers that will be shorter and hopefully avoid this problem. However, with 3 modules and not 4, the ship flies well. I'm thinking what I'll do is detach one, use one up to get into an elliptical orbit, and then do an elliptical orbit rendezvous, using up about a third of the fuel in the refueler I left behind. Fingers crossed here.
