  1. Three minutes! I'm literally shaking in anticipation!
  2. One of the ideas of this challenge is using detachable RCS pods, or using a tug module (which we could waive the 7 part rule a little bit to have a dedicated tug).
  3. In the old CSS the station got really huge. The 7 part restriction was added to reduce lag and make it so everyone could contribute.
  4. @Galacticvoyager I think you might have missed the seven part rule.
  5. What? Already!?!?! Wow! I didn't think these guys were anywhere near launching!
  6. Okay. 1) Upload the save to the drive folder. (make a zip file, copy-paste the save into the zip file, right click in the drive folder, hit upload files, select the zip file.) 2) Use Imgur (or your own drive) to upload and host images, copy-paste them here.
  7. *Comes in here not knowing what I'm going to answer because I don't calculate it* *While the page loads thinks to vote for the most popular one* *Sees that each option has exactly one vote*
  8. Wanna fly into space? Yeah! Wanna fly a cannon into space? Yeah! Wanna shoot something from that cannon to the Mun? Yeah! Wanna orbit through arches on the Mun? Yeah! Wanna orbit distant planets? Yeah! Wanna crash into other planets? Yeah! Wanna drive trains on other planets? Yeah! Wanna build monster trucks? Sci-fi ships? Battleships? Boats? Submarines? Asteroid stations? Asteroid launchers? Asteroid bowling? Making a pyramid of Kerbals? Stunt flying? Stunt driving? Blowing stuff up? Building a computer? Making a Rubik's cube? Working clock? Mechs? Catapults? Install mods and make this list 2^256 times longer? Yeah!
  9. This reminds me of the ion plane research challenge. I don't remember, but someone got a plane to glide at 20m/s before. The main obstacle from taking off at sea level is the poor thrust of the ion engines, and therefore a slow takeoff speed was required. I think the highest anyone actually got on the runway was 14m/s. But my non-sea level ion planes did pretty well and had pretty low takeoff speeds, as most of the mass had to be wing.
  10. I generate 2^256 parallel universes and make forts at all of the hills, then destroy your parallel universe. My 115792090000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 hills.
  11. Back when I played on a laptop, re-entry effects turned the ship hot pink. The problems may be somewhat related.
  12. I used the recording software that comes with Windows 10 to capture, and Windows Movie Maker (Yeah, yeah, call me weird for actually liking WMM) to edit it.
  13. @AHeroReborn If you need instructions, download the zip file, open it and copy the save file called "Community Space Station" or something like that. Copy and paste it into your "saves" folder and then launch KSP. The save should be under your "resume saved game" menu. Launch your module. When you're done, make a new zip file and copy-paste the save file into the zip file, then upload the zip file to google drive. Also, if you want to know why I had to have such a big lifter for my tiny module...
  14. There should be, I added it. Did you grab the one that says "Ultimate Steve?"
  15. The crew module is completely full, so if anyone wants to take up crew, they'll have to make a module for it. Also, the video is almost done, I'm saving it right now. It should be uploaded by tomorrow morning. Go ahead, the save is available right now! It should be the most recent one in the drive folder (mine).
  16. My turn has been completed, the new save should be in the drive folder. I added a module called "Sharkbait" which is basically crew quarters and docking ports. Docking port-adapter-mk3 passenger module-mk3enginemount-3 more docking ports, for a total of seven parts. Here is the beast at liftoff. Why did I need such a huge rocket? Well, you'll see when I make the video! Docking: I moved the station to a 250Km orbit as well. Oh, yeah, I also created a Kerbal with my name. EDIT: The service module was deorbited, I don't have any pics of the station without it.
  17. Yeah, it's back! If nobody posts here before I post again, I'd like the save. It will be a few hours before I can start, though, so whoever goes next feel free to take it unless I post again. EDIT: I have an idea... EDIT2: Is a core module already up? EDIT3: I suggest a 250KM orbit to aid in rendezvous and, more importantly, avoid the surface lag that ends about 170 (I think) Kilometers up. EDIT4: I have the save. Launching now. EDIT5: Do you mind if I move it to a 250km orbit to avoid lag?
  18. Also, @Monkey Taylor I finished the mission report of the challenge, just to let you know.
  19. Well, there's nothing stopping it from being all three. Eeloo could be Encadeuropulto.
  20. With a decent framerate flying a plane over Kerbin: 250-ish Orbiting Kerbin high: 350-ish In deep space: 500+ Note: My definition of decent is different from yours. The first time I played KSP it was on an ancient laptop - 3fps max. Second laptop wouldn't run anything in real time barring 10 part rockets in space. But this laptop is 400x better. So, max with real time if I'm not actually doing anything intensive (taking off from Kerbin) would be around 300. The biggest useful thing I've built is around 500 parts. The biggest thing I built but never used was a 1000 part monster.
  21. Well, at least it was by a few minutes. Earlier today I was at a practice after school. The Ariane 5 launch was scheduled for 3:40 my time, the practice got over at 4:00. I was planning to play the stream over the main computer in the room, but another student wouldn't give it up. So, at 3:38, I race into another room and ask to borrow one of our school's (terribly slow) chromebooks. I race back to our room, and try and pull the livestream up on our schools abysmally slow internet. There's nothing more aggravating than missing a launch by 47 seconds on a non-rewindable livestream.
  22. @RandomUser Great, now I need to go build a tank. But it's 10:30 here, so I should be going to sleep. NRGGH!
