I get a contract for the Mun. I ready a perfectly capable rocket. Launch, go into map mode. Plot node. Do burn entirely from zoomed out map mode. Time warp. Do orbital insertion burn. Then I switch back to normal view and realize I'm orbiting Minmus.

ISRO attempts to launch 104 satellites in one go.
Ultimate Steve replied to Nick88's topic in Science & Spaceflight
And, liftoff! Is it just me, or does their gravity turn seem a bit... extreme? -

What Ksp vehicles have you put together on your dream?
Ultimate Steve replied to munlander1's topic in The Lounge
I actually don't have KSP dreams much. But once, there was this magnificently ramshackle microplane that appeared to be made from stockalike parts. I never built it, but it was basically a 3 seater in the space of a one seater. It had orbital provisions, but no engines. Or fuel. It had wings, but they didn't work. In my dream I piloted it off of a super tall golden tower that was covered in purple flowers. I landed in a fountain and the two tourists in the other two seats started shouting insults at me. -

Ten PM for me. I should go to sleep, but I missed the first launch today by 47 seconds and I really want to see something blast off today! -
Trouble at Neidon
Ultimate Steve replied to Red Shirt's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, modded installs)
I would like a picture of the Mun orbiting the Mun please. -
I've got a lot of stuff going on after school usually. I managed to get control of a computer at around 3:38, but those computers (and our school's wifi) stink. Long story short, I missed the launch by a whopping 47 seconds. Oh, well. There's the other launch tonight.

Me too! I was literally looking for a game where you could build your own spaceship. For, like, months. And somehow I only catch it at the tail end of 0.18.

Is Kerbal society global, or made up of nations?
Ultimate Steve replied to Tex's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Serious answer: It's a game with no story behind it. Project Intrepid Canon answer: Kerbin is divided somewhat into countries. They are mostly peaceful, and are more like states and regions than actual countries. Wars are rare, and usually enough to remind people (besides the Flat Kerbin Society) that they should be avoided. -
Closest: Sundivers. Closest orbiting: Abandoned mothership orbiting Moho. Farthest: HyperEditing to Exameters of distance Farthest semi-legit: 80g Kraken drives. Several hundred Eeloo distances away. Farthest actually legit: Random solar escape probes Farthest crewed: ITV-015, en route to Eeloo. Farthest crewed with mods: Sarnus from OPM with stock parts.
-
Serious guess: They are continuing Porkjet's part overhaul. Optimistic guess: Multiplayer.

The Truth Can Now Be Told - Mysterious Machines
Ultimate Steve replied to purpleivan's topic in KSP Fan Works
How did I not notice this earlier? Great job! Are you planning on doing some more modern ones? Not to beg, but a Kerbal space station flying by the ISS would make for some interesting photos... If you wanted to keep it Apollo, Skylab?- 195 replies

Project Intrepid (Chapter 61 - The Sirens Of Moho)
Ultimate Steve replied to Ultimate Steve's topic in KSP1 Mission Reports
Okay, this is mostly for my benefit, but you can look at it too. Here is a reference post (mostly because it's been several months since I've touched this). -
Project Intrepid (Chapter 61 - The Sirens Of Moho)
Ultimate Steve replied to Ultimate Steve's topic in KSP1 Mission Reports
Yes, it will. I am planning, like, six humongous things for part 36, but real life stuff has a habit of getting in the way. Maybe Ill work on it tomorrow. -
Well, uh, I had a rocket that could do this mission in just over five tons, but I get all the way to Moho and find out that my TWR is, like, 1.01 and landing would use 3km/s of Delta V. I may need to add a third ion engine for this to actually work.
-
Uh, I think you accidentaly put me on the scoreboard instead of @Firemetal. Actually, I should try to do this sometime, when I get back to my "gaming" computer. Confusing one person/thing for another happens a lot. I once went several chapters into a mission report not realizing I got the names of two moons mixed up! Hmm, Moho. There was a SSTO spaceplane video a while ago, but the aero might have changed significantly. I'm thinking maybe a little chair with a tank strapped to it. Thanks for accidentally naming me, otherwise I wouldn't have anything to do all afternoon!
-
Not me, although I did make an alternate request. They asked for shipping details in a PM, I responded in the PM. Maybe we were supposed to do it in an E-mail instead?
-
Plus, he's said multiple times that he wants to let the storyline die. But if you really want to find it I remember that it's typed up on some website out there, but I've long since lost the link.

Screenshots Re-Imagined [GROUP THINGY NOW]
Ultimate Steve replied to HazelPine's topic in KSP Fan Works
I can't say anything for @Pine, but I believe it is continuing. People do get busy sometimes, but he'll come back. Also, anyone want me to draw theirs next?- 503 replies

(off-topic post) Well, if it interests you, the onboard camera failed to activate, as well as the onboard altimeter, and the rocket arced right over my head and hit the ground straight downward before the ejection charge even fired. That would have been okay, if any of the cameras had actually caught it hitting the ground... Second worst failure I've ever had launching rockets.
-
I know what I'm doing today! EDIT: After I launch another model rocket. First non-windy clear day I've had in a long time!
-
Well, mostly nothing. There is the subscale Raptor and the almost full size carbon fiber cryo tank.
