  1. @EladDv I don't think the link is working.
  2. Welp, nothing went as planned, but I should* still be able to complete the mission. I ended up using a lot more fuel getting to Sarnus than I thought I would and I had to avoid a last-minute slate collision. So I ended up in an elliptical orbit with not enough fuel to land on Hale to refuel. But, as it turns out, Sarnus is very aerobrake friendly. I seriously took my mothership down to 440k-ish and not even the solar panel broke off! So now, I'm on a suborbital trajectory over Hale with 42m/s of Delta Vee left in the tanks. Fingers crossed here! EDIT: Success! EDIT2: 3 down. 7 to go! If you count sending a probe into Sarnus, 4 down and 7 to go. All Jeb so far.
  3. Okay. OCTAVIUS is read for launch, coming at exactly 249,999.
  4. Now this is one of the more unique things I've seen around here recently! You're making me want to get back into roller coasters!
  5. @JessShadowheart I don't know, so for now I'll stay in 1.2.1. Also, I will make an attempt. I have so far made a prototype mothership with lifter and science module (200k) and have worked on the Laythe and Tetko landers. Those landers will probably take up most of the mass of the other landers. The mothership should be able to land on most of the other moons, but I haven't tested that yet. I need to work on a Tylo lander (I know for a fact I can get it down to about two tons) and maybe a medium lander for the medium moons that the mothership can't reach (like Vall). So, I'm in. EDIT: Okay, I have my basic plan fleshed out. There will be four landers plus the mothership (which is also a lander). One for Tetko, one for Laythe, one for Tylo, one for Slate/Vall/Eeloo, and the mothership will cover everything else. First I go to Sarnus and land on one of the small moons to refuel the Mothership. Then I go to Tetko to land with the lander and then discard it once the job is done. Then I go to Slate and land, with the final stage returning to orbit (The Tylo and Slate landers are the same but the Tylo one requires jetpacking) and I reuse the top stage for Eeloo. It re-docks and I land the mothership on the other small moon to refuel again. If I have extra cash, I'll send a probe into Sarnus. Then I head to Jool. Use the Laythe lander first because it is the heaviest, then re-use the Slate stage for Vall, use the Tylo lander, land the mothership on Bop and Pol, refuel there, maybe send a probe into Jool, and return to Kerbin where I brake into orbit and use the return capsule that also doubles as the docking port array. Also might be worth mentioning that this is a three Kerbal Mission. Although only one will land on everything. Phew. It isn't finalized just yet, still need to add some science, but I'm fairly confident it will come in just under budget. If not, I can remove the RTG. EDIT2: Here is a picture of what I've got so far. Also, I hope you don't mind that I'm using HyperEdit for testing ONLY and that I'm also using KAC. I respectfully ask to still be included in the "stock" category. If it works. Behold: OCTAVIUS!
  6. But starting last minute threads is my job! About ten minutes to go! EDIT: Great launch!
  7. I'm a bit new. I've been fascinated with space for most of my life, but the space shuttle was retired before I started getting into launch webcasts. I've seen Soyuz and Shenzou launches, but I've only seen one of each. So once crew Dragon launches, I'll say Crew Dragon.
  8. Vector. Dark Eagle. Nemesis. Doombringer. Bringer of Doom. Stormchaser.
  9. I remember a challenge like this from a while ago. The secret if you need to ignite your lift, orbit, and de-orbit engines at launch but you need to set up the fuel flow so that some engines burn out before the others.
  10. -SpaceFlightNow Continuing with the tradition of my last minute launch threads, there will be a Delta 4 launching tonight. Livestream link: ULA's Youtube stream. Update: Launching in ten minutes now! Update 2: It succeeded!
  11. Two interesting facts: 1. I ended up playing chess against myself (I have no life) with half of the pieces and somehow I actually won (well, either way I would win, but the me with half of the pieces did). 2. The lunar module on Apollo 12 was called Intrepid. I did not know that until five minutes ago.
  12. It appears to be working for me now! EDIT: Both appear to be working now, I'll go with the first one. Clearer, less accented, and higher video quality (if lagging behind by a few seconds). EDIT2: Clearer link.
  13. I technically should be in bed but I have to study for my big English test tomorrow, so I figured I'd "multitask".
  14. Yet another one of my last-minute launch threads. I have found two livestreams: Link 1 Link 2 India is using a PSLV XL to launch an Earth observation satellite called Resourcesat 2A and it is launching soon! Enjoy the launch! Provided it isn't scrubbed or anything!
  15. I really need to get better at papercraft.
  16. Wait, where are you supposed to put the patch file?
  17. No recent ones. But it was probably the first time I killed a Kerbal because I thought I had 3x symmetry on the boosters but I was too lazy to move the camera and had only put one booster on.
  18. Now, we wait. For the download to complete.
  19. Energy: I totally agree with you. Wheels: That would be sooooooo cool looking, but might cause issues with key bindings. Comms: A "Hard Mode" would be interesting. Failures: As long as it is a toggle able feature.
  20. 75% Achieved. *brings up calculator on computer* 243 days since April 5. 75% there. 243/3=81. 81 days from today = Febuary 24. I'm going to be waaaay off probably, but that is the guess based off of statistics. Also, congrats to @Red Iron Crown on reaching the - what are we calling it? Okay, then. I don't know is @SQUAD's reputation has been artificially inflated, but if it is not, then the now has three members!
  21. Same here. You can press tab a lot to get back to vessel focus, but it is a bit of a hassle.
