  1. Well, we could make a new term, and other words exist. I quite like "Elevation" for the highest point of a plane or a rocket Or maybe an acronym, LHO, Lowest Hangar Opening
  2. Only thing I can think of is turning them off and on again...
  3. Should have tried deleting it, usually Linux will make another The various flavours of Ubuntu are really just desktop environments and different selections of packages, I'm pretty sure there's a package to put a link to the terminal in the right click menu, actually I think it's built in now, it just has to be enabled.
  4. Well, looks like the textures are being replaced, so any addon that changes textures would be a prime culprit I think
  5. Why so serious? How about something a bit more whimsical like when naming a yacht or a sailboat? "Space Or Bust" "Under New Ownership" "Starstruck" "Sunbeam Wanderer"
  6. Things still fall back to Kerbin when gravity is hacked, just really slowly, so you can assume there's at least enough on any given body to stop you from being flung into space
  7. We really need someone from the aviation industry to comment I think, but all the references to aircraft height I was able to find just called it "height", all but one... The Federal Aviation Administration call this measurement the "Tail height" of the aircraft, which makes sense as in nearly all cases the tail is the highest point of an aircraft on the ground.
  8. No, don't unplug the mouse, what about gamepads? If not that then it could be sticky keys. I better move this to Support.
  9. Heh, I still have my old Amstrad cpc464 actually, I don't know if it still works, or if the tapes will load after all this time :/
  10. And there's so many games on Linux these days, it's getting better for us Linux gamers all the time
  11. This may not be a useful method for everyone but I drop my Munar transfer/descent stage when I'm a few hundred meters above where I think the ground is, it usually runs out about that point The explosion gives me an idea of how low I am!
  12. In real life ithout an atmosphere or another body to refract/reflect it, pretty much yeah, you'd only have starlight unless the sun is "up". But KSP does not handle dawn/dusk 100% accurately, light passing through mountains isn't modelled for instance, and to get that darkness the light from the sun is actually turned off or it'd shine through the Mun Kerbin can still be lit and so can the sun, but that is by actually lighting the body itself.
  13. Do you have a joystick attached? If you do you should try unplugging it. Welcome to the KSP forums by the way
  14. The quicksave should be next to the persistent.sfs, if it isn't, you don't have one :/ That zero length file is preventing KSP from loading any save, move it out (or delete it, it's empty) and you'll be a able to load the other saves.
  15. x86 should work fine on 64bit, it's usually only an issue going the other way
  16. OpenGL isn't fully supported on Windows by Unity, but it's worth seeing if this issue has been reported on the Unity3D forums or issue tracker, maybe there's a workaround. Or, try -force-d3d11 instead of openGL
  17. Yeah, you're right it should, I'm still pestering the devs on this one, stand by
  18. Hmm, megatiger, muddy: NO Carry on, no more yes/no stuff though, thanks.
  19. Human life is more important than the hardware, so if it came to it and there was no better option then why wouldn't Nasa consider it?
  20. This thread sounds like a really good/cheesy space action movie... I can't imagine the Dragon being ever used this way, it's too big a risk, it'd be safer to make a part of the ISS safe and await rescue. But as Streetwind says, the Soyuz are there
  21. You can't turn off the lights, but you can operate the craft lights within the editor and set them to a more easily noticed colour such as red or green. That can help a lot with placement
  22. Floating point inaccuracies, basically the son of Kraken, cause craft to start rotating slowly. If you find it is a problem you can use SAS to hold your ship
  23. Hi Merlin, arm the grappler (right click) and touch it against an asteroid
  24. Squad use torrents for the demos, but are not going to do so for the release, sorry. Closing this before it turns to another subject related to torrents.
  25. Have you tried to download KSP from your store account today Daman? If it still does not work I suggest you try a download manager so interrupted downloads can be resumed, DownThemAll on Firefox works pretty well. Or instead of the full 0.25.0 zip, try the installer from the same download page.
