  1. I did this way back in 0.13.2, had to use an addon for it though as there were no stock engines that were right for it. It seemed to work but it was hard to be sure, the parts were pretty OP.
  2. It uses a little more ram yeah, though not a lot as the trees are mostly identical. Also, they are ghostly, so they won't harm your craft
  3. Tree (terrain scatters) have been in KSP for quite some time, but don't always appear everywhere, and they can be hard to find at times. You'll also see rocks on Kerbin, grass, and cacti in the desert, not to mention all the stuff on the other planets and moons
  4. Heh, I also hardly use any RCS, usually what's in the pod is enough, also it's possible to partially clip the tanks into other parts so they aren't so noticeable.
  5. In the very old days they were one meter parts, or more accurately one "unit" of Unity game space, and even engine thrust was measured in Newtons, not kilo-newtons, and mass in Kilograms not tons. When Kerbals were added as distinct entities the parts had to be scaled up to keep the Kerbals large enough to avoid issues with Unity, so the old 1 meter, 3 Kerbal Mk1 pod became the single Kerbal 1.25 "unit" pod we know today. We still have 1.25, 2.5 and the rest because that value is in the part.cfg's, so modders and others refer to them in this way
  6. Might be useful to see the logs yeah, and also post this in the R.O thread in case it can be fixed
  7. Looks like an addon kraken to me Movenating!
  8. Start new threads and link back to the original in future please guys
  9. gamedezyner, you may need an updated library, `GLIBC_2.15' not found means it's not there. But I suggest you just go to your store account page. Requia, we'll need your logs, check out the diagnostics link in the opening post of this thread
  10. It generates 0.75 EC per second according to the Wiki
  11. There is a reason those small parts were made physics-less, parts below a certain size are difficult for Unity to cope with. This is also why the pods were made larger, so Kerbals themselves could be big enough to avoid the Unity weirdness.
  12. Blender can do this kind of stuff amongst other things, and it's free
  13. There's more than one cause of segfaults, it's a general fault when something bad happens, what's causing it for you could be anything at this point. KSP generates several logs that may help, or it may be a hardware issue, I'm afraid it'll take a lot of elimination to figure this one out. A place to start would be with a new user profile, to eliminate a non-default setting as the cause.
  14. I don't think this is coming from the ad server, you say you can't install stuff, something could have been installed by another person who uses that machine.
  15. Have you tested an ad blocker to see if it is the ads causing this?
  16. Hmm, have you done a virus scan recently?
  17. This is a known easter egg/bit of trivia
  18. Shame, I think having the first post with no real content is what did it, try getting a few reports done and ready for next time
  19. I think the cut off should be extended, and this should be in the space lounge. Down boy!
  20. Yeah this is really old guys, but it's a tutorial and they are nearly always still useful
  21. The only ones that should be changed are quoted images, they should automatically be changed from IMG tags to normal links. This was done to prevent quote spam
  22. gpisic, please mind your tone in these discussions, there is no need to take such a confrontational stance.
  23. I'll thank the two of you to stay on topic and not derail the thread in advance shall I?
