  1. I don't have a pic, but if you click "Settings" in the top right of the forums you'll be taken to the settings page. On there, look at the left side for a box called "My Settings", it's the 3rd one down. The option you want is called "Edit Avatar"
  2. Actually that's a good point, I'd expect these to be seriously tempered (adding greatly to the cost) but even then, you'd be falling on a non-smooth surface and who knows what that'd do to a person. Guess I should ask a motorcyclist who's fallen on cobblestones how bad it hurt.
  3. Yes, stay on topic guys, nuclear should be in another thread. I'm not convinced these would be safe for two wheeled vehicles, if the heating elements died on one panel it may be warm enough from its neighbours to remove snow, but it could still be icy. Also, wet glass, not very grippy no matter how textured it is.
  4. Actually Duke, a collectors set has been mentioned a few times containing all the old versions (not sure about the experimentals, but most were too buggy to play anyway)
  5. MeCripp, can you post your logs and screenshots of this issue please? Requia, it's for the 64bit version only, sorry.
  6. Hmmm, have you tested a clean install yet? There's always the possibility that an addon is causing the lockups, not so sure about the mouse but I can't rule it out.
  7. Try another mouse? You can rule out the Saitek that way, or not. We'll need your logs to figure out the crashes, see here.
  8. altruizine, the fix is here, and you can find more help for Arch Linux here. As for Steams launch options, see here CaptainKorhonen, that may be due to your computers language setting, try deleting the settings.cfg and then start KSO with "LC_ALL=C ./KSP.x86"
  9. I think this'll be a tricky one, full system lockups are usually a sign of some other fault in the OS or hardware, maybe a library is not correct for KSP or the graphics driver just hates it. Do you get the same crashes with the mesa/gallium driver? Also are you starting KSP with "LC_ALL=C" ? It's worth trying the segfault fix as well, back up your KSP.x86_64 binary first though.
  10. It's beautiful.... I want this, it's going to dev suggestions so there's more chance they'll see it
  11. On more than a few occasions I've had landers that didn't have enough fuel left to make orbit, leaving me with no choice but to EVA and get to orbit via jetpack for later rescue. With one Kerbal it's fun, with two or more it's hair raising!
  12. Also, many engines use ablative nozzles, excess heat causes the material of the nozzle to burn away, taking heat away with the lost material. These engines are of course only capable of limited use, but this is factored into the design and intended use of the engine.
  13. Best to just wait for an official post on this matter Commander Zoom, sorry.
  14. The closest thing to this might be the SETI project, if they did one day actually find evidence of intelligence they'd get the word out, and if it was hostile, pretty quickly I'd imagine. Other than that there's the deep space tracking networks of the US and Russia that look for whatever, asteroids, satellites, whatnot, there's no "alert" for either those or SETI though, it'd be a press release after discussion with whoever is in charge.
  15. The Intel integrated controller is still and Intel Gpu and uses the Mesa driver, so yes it should work Though saying that, integrated Gpu's are notoriously bad for gaming.
  16. Looks like it might be the Intel driver again, see the fix linked here for Intel cards, it may work for you
  17. This keeps coming up Tausen, and every time it's with Intel graphics, I'm fairly sure it's a driver issue but there's no real fix apart from trying the segfault fix and the fixes for Intel cards here.
  18. Hmmm, not seeing a crash cafeclimber, it could be anything, are you getting any crash folders? Also look for your player.log in "/home/user/.config/unity3d/Squad/Kerbal Space Program"
  19. The issue with DLC is not that it is DLC, it is the argument that the topic can trigger, comments like "Everyone should have the same game experience, regardless of who has some money to throw around." can easily lead to unwarranted claims. As long as the thread stays civil and within the rules things should be fine
  20. cafeclimber, can you put your KSP.log on pastebin for us please.
  21. cafeclimber, how fast were you going at the time? There's a graphical effect for high speed flight and for re-entry heat that can crash Intel graphics cards, and you'll need to disable it by using the atmospheric effects slider (settings screen, graphics page)
  22. Back up the KSP.exe, as I don't think this is working as you expect, one of the issues with the Linux 64bit binary is that it still can't use a lot of RAM. Someone needs to test this and see if the new KSP.exe can actually go above 4gigs.
  23. Honestly guys, while I do like a good discussion I'm surprised this thread survived as long as this, there have been many posts that really don't belong, and the whole topic is a Space Lounge thread at best, but the conspiracy stuff tips it over the edge. The Science Labs are supposed to be for science, stuff with tested falsifiable evidence, peer review, or real world practical applications (like technology) There's been altogether far too much off-topic stuff in this section of the forums recently, please actually think about what you are posting and why, and whether it belongs here.
  24. Carey, version 0.23.5.464 is the latest release, Steam will have automatically updated unless you have changed your settings. We'll need your logs, see here
