  1. Thread locked! Just kidding, this looks like harmless fun, but maybe better suited to the space lounge where Kerbals can kick back and relax over a brew and chat about their day
  2. Guys you know release speculation is bad, it always gets peoples hopes up only to be disappointed. Closing this one.

I just get the feeling this should be in the science labs, social studies is a science right?
  4. Please also remember to post in the appropriate forum, also, there is already an unclickable building, so Squad could just use that
  5. Welcome to the community Turbojet Nice airplane, looks like it can circumnavigate Kerbin
  6. Welcome to the community Jackal, have fun on the forums
  7. Granted, now they are cheap but they look like they were made by a 2 year old out of playdoh. I wish everyone a merry Xmas
  8. The pods actually have reaction wheels of their own, though they aren't very powerful they are enough for most early designs. The pods have batteries and will draw on that power to rotate, while most engines recharge them, if you run out of power you'll find your ability to turn will be gone. 50 electric charge is enough to do most of what you might want to do in orbit though, and is enough to get to the Mun or Minmus and back if you're careful
  9. We are all interested, it's natural, and one day we'll likely find out but it's not going to happen just yet. Razark, your tone is a bit off, I can understand where Firov is coming from, and I can see how people could take his post in a negative light, people really need to use more emoticons sometimes
  10. Jeeze, scaremonger much? Squad are growing as a game development company, they learned to have quality control and to have better project management, it's their first game so mistakes will be made. KSP is in good hands and Squad are doing fine right now, people including me are emotionally invested in KSP and want it to succeed, this is understandable. Squad isn't a major producer, it's not Mojang either, so expect them to do things a bit differently to what you are used to seeing in the games industry
  11. I though I had a Kerbal in orbit vanish, turns out I was in another copy of KSP with different addons and a slightly different save, no Kerbal. He was right as rain in the other game though, except for being stranded in orbit that is
  12. Claira still works for Squad, Bac9 left of his own accord as he wanted to work on other projects
  13. That ducted fan jet looks nice.
  14. Those look like toys to me to be honest, you're really looking for something with 4 channel radio and a decent wingspan, 1 meter or more, unless you are just flying these things indoors.
  15. Well, they will fly as well as you can steer them
  16. Welcome to the community Andrew Congrats for reaching Duna, and that's a nice station, have fun on the forums and fly safe
  17. You could try here, or if you want to make your own I'd look up DIY foam cutting tables and a source of polystyrene You can even make really good planes from corrugated cardboard for next to nothing, or that corrugated plastic sheet used in signs is really good. These materials might not be fancy but you either can't break the planes made from them without really trying or they are so cheap you won't mind
  18. KSP overwrites the existing file when it saves, so there may not be anything to undelete :/
  19. If you are quick you can close KSP (alt+f4) before it writes the persistent.sfs, then you can reload from where you left off. Otherwise no, you get one save and one quicksave file per profile unless you use the quicksaver addon or you use KDE which automatically saves a backup of any file as ~filename.here
  20. Struts, it's your only option for something like this, as every part can only have one parent so only one engine will connect, you'll just have to put up with those decouplers being "loose" sorry :/
  21. Oh definitely, clipping can cause a lot of problems, I had a few clipped tugs that would shake my stations apart if they docked while other clipped tugs wouldn't. No reason I could see why one was okay and another a deathtrap Also, name fixed!
  22. KSP still has bugs like this that can rip some craft to bits, if docking ports aren't exactly spaced for example or if those cubit or octagonal struts are used with docking ports. You may just have to scrap this design, but it's really hard to see exactly what's wrong here, we'd need your save file really. And I'll try to fix your name, what is it supposed to be?
  23. Not so sure about that Skyrender, I remember having a lot of fun with Flight unlimited 3 and its random failure system. Breakdowns were rare, you could do 20 or 30 flights and nothing would go wrong, but when it did it was something that made you have to think of how to deal with it, such as a faulty gauge or broken undercarriage. These events just added to the immersion of being a civil pilot, you didn't know what might go wrong or when, and it was rare enough you didn't worry about it.
