  1. Welcome to the community Endoric Have fun learning orbital mechanics and fly safe!
  2. Welcome to the community Code2200 This game is going to the stars! No really! We'll eventually have a few other handmade systems and several more generated with a seed, which will be changeable and can even be random So one day Kerbals will travel to other stars! How cool is that?
  3. Welcome to the community Imaginer1 Maybe you can work KSP into one of your talks? Think of how cool you'd be when the students see you also play KSP As for making cool craft, I'm sure the guys here can give you some pointers Have fun docking and fly safe!
  4. Welcome to the community Elite-Blade 672 Yeah we want to see your craft! And Liquid, all tech support regarding the Mainsail Express is cancelled pending the retrieval of a suitable amount of sanity
  5. On Mac OS X? I have no idea, those systems aren't well known for easy upgrading and there's limited hardware support from Apple. More RAM maybe? Third party RAM as Apple branded is overpriced, other than that maybe just closing unneeded applications.
  6. Somehow I don't think this thread is going to improve I'll let DYJ handle this one, moving to general add-on affairs
  7. If you put a probe, a battery and a solar panel on each booster, and leave it with a little bit of fuel, your debris will be able to de-orbit itself Or you could try catching it in a garbage collection craft, or leave a docking port on it like you say, or set debris to zero in the settings. There's even a laser somewhere you can use to blast debris out of the sky
  8. It helps to get on the same inclination yes, just as when you are trying to intercept Minmus or Eve, a craft is just smaller and can be on a more inclined orbit. As for pitching the wrong way, I assume you mean you pitch north when you want to pitch south, remember you are trying to match the orbit of the other craft so if it's orbit line is slanted upwards where is passes over you, then you'll want to pitch north a bit when taking off so you don't need to waste too much fuel later to change your inclination.
  9. I'll have to try that CalculusWarrior, it's an interesting thought that ASAS is dependent on it's position jfjohnny5, I reduce my ASAS wobble by disabling the gimbals on my engines, or by not using ASAS
  10. I'll try to find out what's going on, asking Skunky now.
  11. Maybe how you are landing is the issue here? If you are making a direct descent, i.e. you are dropping straight (or mostly straight) down to the Mun's surface from a Munar impact trajectory, then yeah you are going to have trouble stopping in time. What you need to do is get into a trajectory that takes you past the Mun, but with a reasonable periapsis, 50km maybe. Then at periapsis you burn retrograde to get into a Munar orbit, then lower your periapsis again to about 5 to 10km. When at the new low periapsis, you burn retrograde once more to stop your horizontal movement, then lower yourself to the surface on the LV-N engine thrust nice and carefully. If you do it this way you won't find yourself slamming into the Mun at high speed any more
  12. Welcome back to the forums CptNuts Have fun and fly safe, and keep your pics safe in case there's a next time
  13. Welcome to the community menze Yeah KSP is educational and fun, not a common combination these days, or ever Have fun learning to orbit and stuff, and fly safe!
  14. Welcome to the forums again chri There was one a month ago, that was the last one I'm aware of though, maybe you just had some bad luck? Anyway it's good you made it back
  15. Welcome to the community Pontiac If you look here and here you'll see that performance improvements are coming Also, stuff like Gpu physics, 64bit executables and threads across multiple cores are dependent on Unity3D adding such features (or stabilising the features they have started to add) to their game engine, as KSP is made in Unity. These things are coming, and Squad want to include them in KSP, they just take time
  16. Welcome to the community Ildpind Also Kerbals can jump really high on the Mun! Aiming them though, that's hard Have fun learning the game and fly safe!
  17. Welcome to the community Dragonoff Have fun building spaceplanes and fly safe!
  18. Welcome to the community Mefi282 Have fun learning about space, and fly safe
  19. Welcome to the community, worlds most flexible actor Have fun in your new role as a spacecraft captain, and fly safe!
  20. Welcome to the community Dean Harper Shame your Kerbal couldn't make it home, but there's plenty more where he came from Plus don't forget their jetpacks, and they have very tough heads Have fun and fly safe!
  21. Welcome to the community VOXsp Have fun on the forums and in KSP, and fly safe!
  22. Welcome to the community Stez I like your craft! It's rare to see another player who knows to build small, most beginner ships are monstrous! Have fun experimenting with small craft design, and fly safe
  23. Welcome to the community wetwarev7 It's nice to meet you too! Have fun and fly safe
  24. Welcome to the community twelveways Wow, lots of accomplishments in the game already, well done, can we see pics? Have fun rescuing your Kerbals, and fly safe!
