  1. Yes, why not, assuming its safe. They are looking for an 'artist' and, uhh, i hope i improved by the time it launches. But i love the Moon and rockets and i play alot of Kerbal so that means i can be the mission specialist lol.
  2. Its not Elon's idea, its Yusaku Maezawa's idea to send 6-8 artists to space. It seems like many people don't exactly know about what this thread is about, and miss the point, Luna 1 style. For those people: https://dearmoon.earth/ As for people who could go to space, how about Tim Dodd the Everyday Astronaut? He is the first person that comes to mind when thinking about an inspiring space person.
  3. Out of all people in the spaceflight community, i think Tim Dodd (The Everyday Astronaut) is the most likely person to go in this trip. He is a very good person. Everyone else is just a good person. Maybe Buzz Aldrin, if he is still alive in 2023, maybe he will be a little too old. I also just found out the entire Apollo 8 crew is still alive, maybe give William Anders a ride back? He would be 89-90 by then but ehhh.... yeah. Also, considering Yusaku is from Japan and this is an International thing, maybe send Valentina Tereshkova to the Moon? Maybe even Alexei Leonov, i think he was the one intended to ride an N-1 rocket to the Moon and be the first Cosmonaut to land and walk on the Moon. Considering its about "capturing people's imagination via art" or something, i doubt they will send a 80-90 year old into space, and go for a youngster like Tim Dodd instead.
  4. Yup thats him! Can't wait for the big reveal!
  5. All it said was 'test' I don't know why. Maybe he is on the Moon already and wanted to see if his Wi-Fi works lol.
  6. NO WAAAAY DUUUUDE. I hope so too. Can't wait to be awake at 3:00am on a school night. I wonder what is going on inside that party tent in LA. What if there is a full on spacecraft in there, and they are going to stream right next, or even INSIDE a mock-up of the spaceship?!?!?! I mean, if they are going to go orbital in 2 years, they must have done something right?
  7. This thread is just one big BFR party. Doesn't look like its being pushed back. I hope this means development is going well.
  8. It would be quite nice for BFR to do some exploration/test missions before they do their cargo and eventually manned missions. It would suck to rely on water and find out there isn't any water present. Like have 2 Mars Landers and have 1 Phobos/Deimos and orbital mission (all of them unmanned of course). These could be 3 seperate BFS spacecraft or 3 different spacecraft inside one BFS. The Mars landers would have a rover that will explore the surface. These could be small Opportuniy/Spirit like rovers or maybe a giant monster labaratory being powerd by a massive solar panel (maybe even a kilopower reactor), depending on if it landed with a different smaller spacecraft made to fit inside BFS or one BFS as a whole. Also bring extra food and toilets for future Astronauts.
  9. Thats pretty cool to think about. Alot of people seem to be already aware there is a high chance Yusaku Maezawa us the man going to the Moon. Alot of 'are you going to the Moon?' tweets. Also, there is this cryptic tweet he posted. Someone on the NSF forum noted that there is no Tuesday September 19th untill 2023, wich might be the launch date planned (so far). Also, i can't wait, so im listening to this:
  10. Elon hinted the tourist could be from Japan. Japanese Billionaire Yusaku Meazawa said he had something 'big' to announce in mid-september. Ladies and gentlemen, we got him.
  11. What if BFR lands horizontally on Earth and vertically on low or no atmosphere planets like Mars or the Moon? I know, its a dumb idea. It might explain the lack of any SL engines. (Although it has been said those engines were SL engines.)

Its weird indeed. Its probably because most native European food is absolutely nothing compared to the stuff found in America or some other place. 'Peperduur' is a Dutch saying wich litterly translates to 'Pepper-expensive'. So im assuming pepper and other foods/spices that don't taste bitter was the holy grail for Europeans at some point in history.

  14. Its litterly shrouded in darkness, lets just wait and see what the SpaceX people have to say about it.

Its not that hard to memorize 2 numbers between 3 and 5 digits, its even less of a problem when you have got a year time to do it.
  16. 10 kilometers? Thats extremely high! Like, EXTREMELY high for a model rocket. Most model rockets only reach 100-500 meters altitude. 10 kilometers is Copenhagen-Suborbitals level rocketry. How big was that rocket?
