  1. One thing for sure is that ecosystem will be changed drastically. Well first of all, say bye bye to deep sea horror creatures like the Anglerfish, woop woop! 50 meters deep is shallow enough that here would be sunlight everywhere through this global ocean, and also shallow enough for large plants to support themselves. So expect there to be a giant global kelp forest. Such a giant global kelp forest would also produce more O2. And the more oxygen, the bigger the bugs I assume most humans wouldn't really enjoy living alongside giant bugs. I wouldn't care, but im a weirdo.
  2. Astronaut is not a profession, an Astronaut is someone who goes to space. An Astronaut can be a biologist, payload specialist, a mad inventor, etc. Its kind of like being a diver. Divers are divers not just to dive, they actually do something underwater.
  3. I still have a few ideas of Solar System related artworks .
  4. I think they can test the vacuum engine without the bell in normal atmosphere.
  5. My drawing block has ended thanks to dumb internet memes and drawing challenges
  6. Speaking of realistic fantasy worlds, i recently played with the idea of having a fantasy world with creatures like Ogres and Dragons, but have them have some sort of evolutionary timeline and stuff. Right now im thinking of a future space colonization scenario were the first space war will take place, so i can kind of get an idea what a space war will be like, rather than just make something up in the middle of it.
  7. 'Cursed images' Those will definitely scare the zombies away with their high energy level.
  8. It would do cool flips and tricks untill its light enough. sarcasm
  9. I could definitely see that happend on a BFB grasshopper test. I also think that they should do suborbital tests for BFS. BFS can without a doubt reach near-orbital speeds like 6000m/s to test re-entry and land back safely.
  10. They are? Well, considering they can land the Falcon 9 pretty much bullseye on target, its not that crazy anymore, but still crazy.
  11. Its kind of dumb that they got all the tiny fiddly bits, from clamp down pins to heatshield tiles, but they forgot the gridfins in the render. Very, very smart of the visual artist . Oh well
  12. This thread is specifically for sharing any rocket/spacecraft concepts, you drew in your notebook, or somewhere else. This is also a place you can discuss your concepts and share ideas. Not sure if this belongs in the Lounge or the Science and Spaceflight subforum. This is something i already have on my online archive so why not share it here. This is a fully reusable space capsule that merges the command module and service module into one. A little bit too wide, and likely also extremely heavy, wich would also mean it would either need massive parachutes or do a dragon/style landing. The things on the sides of the service module are supposed to be solar panels (folded, of course), but these would also need to be placed further upward because they are too close to the heatshield. @Ultimate Steve might be interested in this thread.
  13. To anyone who still thinks BFR is 'just a concept', well, you are wrong. ITS A CYLINDER NOW! https://www.teslarati.com/spacex-first-completed-bfr-spaceship-section-port-of-la-tent/ I have never been so happy about a cylinder in my entire life.
  14. Have been struggling with anatomy a little. I took a human apart and put it back together (kinda), just so i can get an idea of anatomy again. I drew this without tracing shortly afterwards.
  15. BFR is actually quite roomy (1000 cubic meters!), i doubt you will be sitting for a week... And be doing this instead for a week instead:
  16. That is why they plan on sending actual artists like visual artist, musicians, filmmakers, photographers, et cetera on the trip. A documentary, movie, or painting really makes me want to get up and do something awesome.
