  1. Today I continued with my Minimus base. I delivered a fuel transport rover, workshop and smelter for EL, and a Launchpad. Jeb also too a trip in the packrat rover and planted a flag about 15m away for the new crew transport rocket to land at. Now when I tell mechjeb to land at the base, it'll land at the flag and not on top of my base (that was a very panic inducing moment watching my rocket crush half the base ). https://imgur.com/a/NuraP
  2. Continuing where I left off last night, I attached a power module to my base and also delivered a packrat rover so Bill and Jeb can drive around in circles. Once I finish designing it, I'll launch a mining module so I can increase LS capabilities and begin the adventure known as EPL and Hangers . https://imgur.com/vPRe1wq

Started work on my first official base on minmus that I actually plan on finishing (rather then as a side project that becomes desolate, this one has its own save dedicated to it!) https://imgur.com/a/VRHm1 being made with various mods and landed using 40% hyperedit, 50% mechjeb and 10% really big wheels that then fall off and get deleted.
  4. This looks really fun, but I have a few questions. Is this useable to in 1.3? Can I skip the slave trader part? I don't enjoy that kind of thing. Also, can I use other mods in partnership with this like mechjeb? Thanks!
  5. I think the kraken was trying to bomb you and missed XD. Anyway... The strangest thing I've had happen is when I was trying to land a craft on minimus and was promptly was attacked by the kraken . Entire craft just shattered into multiple pieces and then it rained down on the surface. According to the mission log apparently I accidently clipped a decoupler into the ship, which caused structural failures on all the parts when I hit stage.
  6. My Jeb is with Bill in a rover on them Mun on my first ever circumnavigation . He has got 1 years worth of snacks and the ability to make more, so he should have no complaints!

  10. Hi guys! I am going to be recording my first ever circumvigation in KSP! Jeb and Bill decided that they were bored of sitting around at the KSC, so they hopped in a new rover, grabbed a teleporter labled "Hyperedit" and went to the Mun! Mods used: KER USI LS modified slightly (I've changed the stock converter to also let me make fertilizer, since I don't plan on using mks but I don't want to constantly be launching new resupply missions all the time since I am horrible at precision landings). Hyper edit. I will only use this mod once for the entire trip. My original plan was to use the Hanger mod and launch the rover inside of a ground hanger, but it was too large . This mod's only purpose was to put the rover on the mun for me. KIS/KAS Dang it to make it more suspenseful/exciting then just staring at a screen waiting to hit a crater .   12. thxs everyone! hopefully this weekend I'll have a basic rover built/almost finished building. I also found stock alike mining extension which I will use for the inline drill for my rover to collect fertilizer (and a little bit of fuel for the emergency fuel cell).
  13. Hi guys! I am finally (after many times of rage quiting/putting it to the side to do other kerbal stuff) and going to do a circumvigation of the Mun from start to finish, no matter how long/how many rovers it takes. I have a few questions: 1. What is your recommended path for a newcomer? Should I do a polar path (moving north all the way around) or a path around the equator? 2. Best rover desiegns for this type of challenge? I've learned that different rover challenges require slightly different designs (science gathering missions require basic rovers with lots of science, ect). What do you think would be the best deisgn for this? 3. Should I build a basic base on the Mun first, and then launch my rover, or just launch the rover? Mods that will be used (for now, list may change as I get closer to doing it. Any and all suggestions are welcome and encouraged, seeing as to this is my first time).   14. we need to make it a forum rule to never mention this . anyway, I would not add in any form of warp engines, or that instant teleport mod (cant remember name of it but it requires satellites to instantly move ships places) to stock, because even though they are awesome, they would belong in a futuristic game, not in Stock KSP.
  15. Thanks! I'm not going to have a crash at creating a plugin right now (too much RL) but to start out I would just make them eat O2 and create CO2 which would then be turned back into O2 (in lesser amounts, like 3 CO2 makes 1 O2) and then just make it so the Kerbals will hibernate without O2 (similar to the USI LS I'm using now). Thanks for your suggestions though, I will look into them!
  16. This looks fun! 2 questions though: So long as I don't build any bases, will this affect any other part of gameplay? (I already use USI LS by itself) Is it okay if I download this mod, and (for my own independent use only) I delete all the parts except for the karibou rover? I really liked that rover but my KSP takes a while to load right now so the fewer parts it loads the better. I can't wait to try mks lite and then go over to mks.

  20. I have hit another roadblock (why is this road to modding filled with so many roadblocks?!?! what kind of construction is happening on this road to require so many!??! ) . I opened up the USI LS config called supplies, and its empty, and all the other config I can find are only for if I have mods like CLS installed . does anyone know where I should look to try and find the answer to my question? also, @RoverDude if you have a chance can you help?
