Ok. Just before closest approach, set the navball to "target", hold retrograde, and burn till velocity is within 0.1m/s. Point both ships toward each other using target hold (good for beginners) and use RCS to translate toward target. Keep the prograde marker on target marker with I,J,K,L. Do not use the engine! Use H and N to control speed. Docking should be at 0.1 m/s. As soon as magnets start pulling you visibly, TURN OFF SAS ON ACTIVE VESSEL! Otherwise they will fight each other and not dock.

It seems to me your problem is rendezvous. Do you ever come to a complete stop relative to the target? The navball on the second picture suggests otherwise.
-
I usually do it about 50m, but I'm good at rendezvous. I would suggest at about 250m (if you get that close)
-
You have to match your velocity! Very important! Then you approach the target on RCS. You are just flying by, you have to stop relative to the target before final aproach towards it. And find a newer video, the one posted is from .18, there have been a lot of changes, specifically with SAS.

I got this, it worked for a few days, then suddenly quit. Nothing was changed inbetween. I press S and back up to the wall and stop. I used to to through it? Any ideas?

At closest approach, did you match your velocity?

Does anybody else think Jeb and Val should hook up?

The Saga of Emiko Station - Complete

I remember him 'deleting' the hate files a while ago. -
Warships. You need warships. There will be rebels. I had in an old version a complete empire, but the Joolian Governor, my brother, rebelled. It was an epic war.

Oh, wow, you had me fooled at the double wedding line, considering what you said yesterday. -
I think this is on topic. There is a petition to name the first crewed dragon capsule Jebediah Kerman. Check it out: Petition Here

My first docking. In 0.25 before we had fancy hold target or anything like that. Flew to Minmus, detached lander, landed, went back to orbit. A month of in game time and two hours of Scott Manley later, I docked. When that camera snapped to new position, I got that feeling of "YES!!! Now nothing can stop me!" That trumped the landing three hours earlier.

I signed a petion to name the first manned Dragon capsule Jebediah Kerman. Check it out:Name the first dragon capsule Jebediah Kerman. In KSP? You don't want to see what I built. Muhahaha! Those Rebels will die! My old space battleship with 30 15-inch guns now classifies as a light cruiser.

Coordinates, Please!

I have a problem. When I use any torpedo, the graphics glitch and I see a semicircle white cloud at constant size relative to screen, even if I zoom in or out. Is this a known bug? Also, by combining code from depth charges and/or torpedoes, would naval mines be possible?
-
Wrong! I've had a rover and research base there for several weeks.

You can make that seven, Jim. You inspired me to do a mission report in story form for my Kerbin exploration, and a yet unposted but in the works story about [Redacted]. My problem is now getting enough time in KSP! How did you handle the long rover drives? -
4/10 Candidate 1: What Candidate 2 says in incorrect. Candidate 2: What Candidate 1 says is correct. Think very carefully.
