In support of the topic I submit that there are circumstances and degrees of bounce thereof. see clip https://www.twitch.tv/videos/211503705## In my clip when entering the scene, If The landing gear has springs, then there is plenty of bounce, wheels especially. But a solid landing leg next to none. You can see with the landing legs5:00 (with springs set to normal) how they start under the terrain and then bounce even though that is a light craft. And it shouldn’t bounce at all. it is worse on Duna and any other body than on Kerbin if that helps. The cargo haulers both loose the front steering landing gear, 10:47 if I let it bounce and don't help. (all wheels were aligned to the same height) and were tested on Kebin to be fine and able to handle a bounce during test landings and unloading where I switch to the cargo vehicle, all On terrain that is Way less than 30degrees it has happened. I am very convinced this issue is understood, but maybe not what combinations are needed to correct it just yet. as it is a collison's issue, we deal with this in editors like unreal all the time when planting anything even spawn points can be set below terrain world and bam things get crazy. the the calculation appears to be off on items that can have expanding contracting features, maybe it cannot determine what state it is in upon entry. It has gotten worse in versions but I had bounces in 1.22 as well. So much so a rover flipped out when I left the flexing joint loose and that thing bounced and got destroyed.. Fun to watch. So for me flat surface is always best. it was just a rover on Duna hope this info helps Jammer

the most typical reason for the game to crash on loading is "the mods are incompatible with the ksp version" you didn't post a log, so please read the "how to get support" on the forum. as it is the best way to seek help(https://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/index.php?/topic/83212-how-to-get-support-read-first/) start by removing all mods the add in only updated mods.. the ksp will update thru steam and now need mod support. you can revert to the older version as well hope this helps Jammer -
KSP causing BSOD on Windows 10

I have not seen a bsod caused by this game 1.22,1.3,1.3.1 or its mod's, for the most part BSOD is usually a hardware failure. I would recommend temp monitoring as it obviously doesn't happen at loading(1 hour would strain parts getting hot) also memory chips can get hot and cause this as well. you don't mention the use of x64-ksp.exe so make sure you use the 64 version. Also update your video driver after windows updates. Hope this helps Jammer- 1 reply

Mechjeb Install Not Working

Directions for Mechjeb have been posted and tested. windows 10 is fine. nothing should go in the squad folder make sure your structure is ::Kerbal Space Program\GameData\MechJeb2 with the extracted files and folder below this/bundles../icons../parts../plugins.. and license.md are present. hope this helps Jammer-TD -

Mechjeb Not Installing

here is the link to the latest mechjeb2 from the mod team. it isn't the latest posted on the forums. https://ksp.sarbian.com/jenkins/job/MechJeb2-Dev/ you may want to check the other mods like crp as that looks like an old build based on time stamp. I also believe tweekscale folder should be renamed if i recall they only want "tweakscale" to be the name of the folder.. not sure why(maybe its just the standard directions.). if this doesn't work you can delete all the files in the root except the modulemanager2.8.1.dll. then go to steam and validate it will reinstall the needed files and clear the cache. at this point if it doesn't change you will have to root thru the mods and verify there patch levels. best I could offer. MJ2 above does work with 1.3.1 GL Jammer -
with only 8 gigs this on its best day will be very laggy in fight. I have seen this version consume 7-8 gigs np I would verify the latest video driver for the ati card. and make sure things like antivirus, has an exclusion to ksp and this software is in use when crashed and.. SogouInput is no not recommended any more --use QQ input lite instead as some have suggested keep the system lean on things in the background hope this helps Jammer

So last night I landed 2 craft with MechJeb2(751)(https://ksp.sarbian.com/jenkins/job/MechJeb2-Dev/lastSuccessfulBuild) and no issue. I even changed course of the landing target at 35k on duna and it correctly landed the craft.. It was beautiful. Now I did build a straight 3 stage rocket with a separated landing craft. All very simple craft, but it was as smooth as could be Thanks Again to Sarbian and KSP modders Jammer changed link to a more generic link to dev's site,

if its 1.3 or better the only real crashes are mod related. so as they suggest remove 50% and test till you have no crashes..adding backwards with the removals that made no difference during the tests will isolate who at fault.. I have had no issues with any 1.3.1 mod that has been updated. I have tied most of them. so it is probably best to just start fresh and add updated mods only at first Hope this helps Keep Flying Jammer

I have a working game and it is only using 1.3.1 mods that have been updated. I do not have an "aim camera" on any part since the upgrade so it is harder to view the ships.(I reviewed the old mods and i don't see that was an added feature. I tried using easy vessel switch, no change)(mods=EVS/kis/kas/jsi/mechjeb/tweakscale/KW/LBSI/magic smoke/opt/near future/spacey/umbra/amp/cck/crp.. to name most) has anybody else had this issue. I am not sure where this feature comes from as a fresh install(no mod) doesn't have it either thanks Jammer

Ok so what I see appears normal. if you mouse over the wireless signal it will show you a drop down in which you should see it isn't direct but it has a strong signal to the lower item your relay, if there are multiple connections each will be on the list. it isn't so obvious to do also to talk to Duna, I place a relay around Kerbin out near muns orbit to assist in my connections from blank spots from orbit's hope this helps Jammer

With so many ships it's hard to remember what was set. even using "defaultactiongroup" mod doesn't display what was set. some craft have unique groups.. It would be nice to see a list of groups and maybe a parts/action list view only would be helpful Lovin..KSP Jammer-TD

1.3 crash on launch

most mods are updated but not all if you have an old mod from 1.2.2 and you are now using modmanger 2.8 (you are)from v1.3 so your ksp is updated. so you most likely have a conflicting mod.many posts available for work arounds Jammer -

KSP is crashing while loading screen

so as stated above,they just updated the game to version 1.3 so only use mods that post they are for 1.3. many of the mods are updated today as the Mod community is working fast and hard to update them. also this game should be run using the x64 as this can utilize the most of your computer, if your system supports it, as yours does. hope this helps Jammer- 2 replies

I would make sure auto struts are turned off and any other struts aren't touching as nearby struts go a stray.... and remove the KJR this mod seems too have conflicts see below:: Quote from Montana7585 >> Beatiful crane ! I am cannot say thank you enough to all of the DEV team and Modders alike ! As you have not been thanked enough. so many are quick to complain because they didn't understand what updates are about. "they spent a few bucks". yet they will in time realize how tremendous a game this is and just got better. It has always been changing and for the better..every operating system and game have updated and each presented the next game or they die of old age(boredom).. Thank You All for your time and brain space. now more than ever children around the world can explore and learn while playing. Adults are hooked as well because they can test the premise of their engineering skills that they have been acquired throughout their lives and for so little money, they have an outlet... THANK YOU ! Keep the updates coming
