Why does this thread exist. @Vanamondemaybe delete this thread for now? It really doesn’t have a purpose at this point in time.
-
So you lost the craft? Does this thread even exist for a reason now?
-
You need to paste an image from imgur. You can’t just paste it here.
-
Have you even started it? All I meant was just an image of the in-construction thing. Also UKS just makes more sense since “United KERBIN Ship” instead of “United STATES Ship”
-
Could we have a preliminary image?
-
Kaether Space Center Hangar.
SG Aero replied to KerbolExplorer's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
My Kod. The grammar here is horrendous. Also it’s not exactly a Vostok replica if t has no launch stage... -
Yeah I completely agree. The DLC is garbage. Literally none of the parts are useful.
-
Guys! I developed an ultra light, almost indestructible low part armor! Oh and take two just announced that they are going make all the DLC free! April fools.
-
I use dual thump powered triple warhead missiles. Guided missiles are far superior, as instead of firing a blind swarm of missiles and hoping for critical damage, one good shot with a guided heavy weapon can completely disable a ship.
-
Not really. Also I said ssss and censored myself. What did you think I said? I beams actually don’t really do that much. They have honestly never phased once for me.
-
Looks cool, but I-beams won’t do jack s*** against most seriously armored targets. If my craft can survive being dropped from orbit I think it can survive a few I beams. Also ramming is disallowed.
-
Yeah I don’t give it firewall access either. Just mentioning that it was setting something off. I don’t do any thing illegal either.
-
Oh yeah by the way @panzer1b so I did some sleuthing around the game files after KSP tripped my extensive web of firewall and security software programs, and turns out that T2 actually added spyware into 1.4.1 as it sends data back about not only the game, but PC specs and such too. Someone coded a blocker for it but apparently T2 attack’s dthem with the EULA.
-
@panzer1b Yeah I’ve oudl have preferred more planets or some visual dlc. As you said, the DLC only parts are going to split the community, and the quality of the DLC really isn’t worth that. Plus the historical missions suck.
-
@&#%€¥>!!!! I didn’t buy the game early enough for the making history.
-
False alarm. I’m still alive. Anyway I might finally get to building that warship this weekend.
-
@panzer1b You make some good there. Something is kinda going on right now, so I’ll probably be fine. But if my account suddenly disappears and you don’t hear from me for at least 2 years, you know what happened.

Might as well post an editorial on making missiles too. The two most important things: the acceleration, and the warhead. Acceleration should be obvious. My approach to attacking is to get up close, like 200-300 meters away, and fire one of my “heavy weapons. If you are going for this approach then you need a high TWR, kinda like mine, which is powered by dual thumps and only weighs five tons. You can also use these sorts of missiles from long range, I just prefer not too. On the other hand, if you don’t want to get close to your enemy you can try a really heavy missile that will smash the opponent with kinetic energy. You do have to deal with the higher inaccuracy from the distance however, and if you are using a bulky missile you most likely won’t have the maneuverability to handle quick changes. The second thing is the warhead. This is the part that makes first contact with the enemy ship. Usually people use things like I-Beams, Vernors, and other high impact tolerance parts. Most missiles I’ve seen, even if they have multiple parts making up the warhead, have some sort of point. This means that the impact is concentrated on a smaller area, making it harder for the enemy ship to dissipate the damage. Depending how you set up the warheads determines how the warhead will react upon collision. My aformentioned missile uses a triple warhead, with one slight ahead of the others. The way this works is that the front I beam tears a hole in the armor, and the side ones scoop out the insides of the ship. It can be a little unreliable, but works more often than not. So what do ya think of my guide?
-
Basically anything. Also we don’t generally do “formations” as it makes it too easy to “accidentally” hit 2 ships with 1 shot. As long as your opponent agrees on the sizes and such it’s fine.
-
Ah.
-
Umm... this thread has always been about space craft.
-
Oh DLC plates? Cool! Honestly I would have preferred they add parts to stock and add VISUAL DLC to keep compatibility between games, but eh.
-
ARGH WHERE DID MY SHIP GO????? Eh whatever. I’ll just make a new one. Oh, and I’ll be building a new missile to counter that @panzer1b. Let’s see if I can make something that can actually kill it.
-
Hmmmm... @SpartwoSorry about not getting to my turn. I was kinda busy, but apparently my Void craft is missing. I'm going to see if I can find it. Did I give anyone a dropbox link at any time?
