My problem is the art style and the overall presentation, i am 100% sure the exploring, the game mechanics are excellent. I would love to explore Elite Dangerous universe but its like a beautiful world presented in the wrong way, at least for me. I can't take that step and really delve into it, the universe feels so lonely and dark(I mean how it feels not how its supposed to be). The beauty is there but the way to it is so dull.

I wasted many hours watching streams and videos of Elite Dangerous and i can sincerely say i see no appeal at all, sounds a bit harsh, i am sure its a good game but me coming from all the -----lancer games this one just doesn't hit any sweet spots.

Sadly this is a stock bug, you can report it here https://bugs.kerbalspaceprogram.com/issues/25992 and this is one of the most recent discussions https://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/index.php?/topic/195975-shadow-flickering-problem/ The only known solution i am aware off is Scatterer mod, you can try that and even if you disable all the options and just use it for the fix for the minimum perfomance impact. But again its up to you, for me i just wait patiently, maybe hopefully we will get the fix in the upcoming patch. I have that navball bug as well but thankfully its not coming up often, maybe it has something to do with UI scale and resizing or even repositioning the navball might fix it.

Umm, Your first stage is the bottom one, the order is bottom-to-top Do you have the correct order in stages? It doesn't start with the top one(0), the first stage is the bottom one(the one with the highest number). Do you use clamps or just a rocket, its weird, this happens with stock ones too? huh... if you right click the engine and turn it on, does the engine work? Umm a screenshot would help, you can go to https://imgur.com/upload and post one

Do you have the throttle to max when you launch? In Main Menu Settings there is an option: Default Throttle in Prelaunch That helps so you don't have to throttle up every time you launch. If it's not that then, do you have enabled the cross feed rule? Are your engines getting fuel? Does this happen even with stock rockets?

I need to do that soon, its been a while, the left picture i don't think its from 5th Element, i think it was a random pic from google, maybe from Resident Evil, i made this at least 15 years ago lol.

outpost icon to vessel naming
Serenity replied to vv3k70r's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, unmodded installs)
There was a neat program that easily helped you fix all these stuff with docking ports with just one button. Its a bit outdated but it should/hopefully still work. You can also manually fix it in persistence file but you should google that, i don't remember exactly what lines you need to fix. And of course always backup before you try anything. -
I found an old photoshop i done for my signature back in the day, do you like it?

Active Flights Effecting FPS?
Serenity replied to The CanineCraver's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, modded installs)
Some streamers and other people with big saves have a seperated ''clean'' Sandbox Career with no or few active flights. They use that as a platform-simulation to build and test big crafts so they don't get that lag. Dunno if you are interested in this, its not very hard to copy the craft files to a different save after you done making it, up to you . -
Active Flights Effecting FPS?
Serenity replied to The CanineCraver's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, modded installs)
Yes, the ''bigger'' your save becomes the lower perfomance you will get. I have restarted my save four times through the years and every time i got the same results. Its not that bad though, its still playable with decent fps, the lengthy menu transitions are the most annoying part for me but what can you do...its fun to create big space programs. -
I am gonna be honest i only read the first half, good stuff though, very well written. What i can say in response is i grew up with Garfield and owned several....several comics of their adventures. I see Garfield as a revolutionist of why it's not bad to go after different things in your life, things that are considered by the system pointless and ''lazy''.

Shadow Flickering Problem
Serenity replied to SpaceBooper's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, unmodded installs)
Simply replace settings that are years outdated and hopefully everything goes well? Thanks but no... I am not buying he is not doing some edits here and there I am not saying its wrong or anything but when you have such a complicated Career save you do have to do some custom handiwork to make it work a bit better. Again not saying he is altering or cheating just some groundwork for a more optimized platform to work on. Honestly the weird thing for me would be if he is actually not editing them. -
Yes

Its not the lazy way, we live in the age of compression. The information got too big and all these ''lazy'' methods are necessary to handle those huge amounts of info.

Yeah but i am not looking to play combat sim games.

Hello, i was looking at some space combat games(Elite Dangerous, Everspace 2, Star Citizen><) and i realized in all of these games when you fight an enemy ship you can't see it. You only see the Hud but you can't actually see the enemy. You basically fighting a ghost only by what the Hud tells you. In older games, especially the -----lancer ones, you could clearly see what you were fighting and even see parts of them blow up. And that was like ages ago. For me that's a deal breaker, i do not want to fight an invisible enemy, i understand its not realistic but its not fun, at least for me. No Man's Sky for me its the only game that captures the correct size and the speed just at the point you can actually see something. But of course it lacks in almost every other department in space combat.... I even heard Star Citizen is trying to make ships slower so you can actually see the enemy when crossing paths What do you think?

I contest that, nothing almost comes out of thin air, there is always lots and lots of stuff been done before and around. Yes it was probably impossible for other people to organize all that stuff and come to that remarkable achievement but still...people worked day and night for that to happen, and then someone brilliant managed to connect the dots and add some crucial missing ones and ''boom'', like a detective movie.

My explanation is that these things are not real objects just sophisticated projections and the device used is actively tempering with radar and other common detection methods and even visual. In fewer words, internet calls it Active Camouflage, there are some things on the internet but they are hard to find and very sparse.

Brothers in Mun Something is wrong with this one Fixed the previous one, kinda I hate suicide burns Go for launch Its too hot Venting on the runway Can you spot the important part

Hmm maybe its not an aircraft, hmmm, maybe its a ship, that tech would probably require some serious power supply, maybe even a nuclear reactor or some radioactive thingies, I might been wrong and this technology is something coming from a ship that is actively camouflaging or even a submarine, very interesting. Maybe its only projecting a false entity and its not cloaking itself, just creating a diversion in radar etc systems.

Shadow Flickering Problem
Serenity replied to SpaceBooper's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, unmodded installs)
He probably have his settings.cfg edited, i do wonder though if some people just don't encounter this problem since i am not seeing many replies in posts like this one. Maybe its gpu related and the newer gpu's don't have this issue. Most players use ofcourse Scatterer or have edited setting files or they just play in older versions of the game i guess.
