changing G-force tolerance
Serenity replied to tonimark's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
I though the setting was a multiplier, so if you want to increase tolerance you need to set the number higher, or my brain is lagging out right now -
Flickering (craft) shadow problem
Serenity replied to CSX6400's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, unmodded installs)
Try this it might help, its from a similar problem but i strongly believe it will help in that annoying graphic bug as well. https://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/index.php?/topic/195975-shadow-flickering-problem/ -

Shadow Flickering Problem
Serenity replied to SpaceBooper's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, unmodded installs)
This eventually fixed it for me, i am disappointed to myself that i haven't tried it earlier, i was really hoping for an official fix with the new patch but this will do more than fine. Thank you for finding the solution to an ever annoying problem and i apologize i didn't try to promote more that fix now that after so while we still have this bug. I haven't seen any ''trade-offs'' yet, fps seem stable but its only couple hours i been using this setting. -
Fresh Stock Install Crashing
Serenity replied to Saphira's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, unmodded installs)
Do you have steam cloud saving enabled? Probably not the problem but you never know, those type of problems make some sense that come back from nowhere. -
I googled a potential fix about your problem, backup first and maybe check if you have steam cloud saving enabled, that brings back unwanted files sometimes. https://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/index.php?/topic/180007-i-thought-i-understood-kerbal-experience-settings/ Do you have cloud saving enabled on Steam? Sometimes cloud saving brings back unwanted files/problems even if you reinstall. As HansAcker said its probably a new bug with the changes they did, if you go to the difficulty settings turn check the option Enable Kerbal Experience.

Stuttering when landing on Kerbin
Serenity replied to ShuttlePilot's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, unmodded installs)
I think this is due to the engine's plume/smokes effects hitting the ground. I remember searching for the same problem, i think there must be a graphic setting that can help you. I am pretty sure lowering the Terrain Detail will improve fps but first make sure you save because sometimes the already landed vessels get jumpy when you change that. Or maybe even lowering the shadows or something like that. -
I hope you like it or at least some parts of it, sorry for the occasional mistakes, English is not my native language. A long time ago a planet-scale event happened, forcing all Kerbals to go underground to survive. They tried to resurface many times but with no avail. There was evidence of a new type of radiation destroying and killing almost everything. Some brave souls always ventured outside to figure out the source of this deadly menace. Even the strongest Kerbal materials were literally melting over a period of time and fauna was completely extinct after only few decades. Some flora somehow survived, maybe mutating and withstanding at some base level this new type of radiation. Time passed on and scientists were clueless with no idea why this was happening. Their models showed that there is a planet wide event, a re occurring radiation burst every few hundred years, covering all the planet. Thankfully the soil absorbed enough to make living underground barely viable. After the bursts ended the radiation was usually quickly dispersed. The surface could sustain some life but barely and everytime conditions got worse and worse. Slowly but reluctantly the Kerbals decided to dedicate in a full underground life They realized they couldn't afford to split their resources above and underground. Few years ago, mystery transmitions of some kind of data were detected from some research outposts. They were coming from various places around the Kerbin and even some extremely feint signals from the Mun. It looked like they contained data of incomplete blueprints and technologies beyond any wild imagination. As studies on them continued, the source of this re occurring planet-wide event was finally unveiled. Now named ''Artifacts'' or ''Obelisks'' they seemed to be devices to store information of a civilization long past gone. They were likely pre-programmed to transmit their data at a certain time period. Unfortunately their power source started leaking, causing this deadly radiation. This technology was beyond of anything Kerbals have ever seen. Tempering with it and trying to fix it or even destroy it was too risky and could make things worse very easily and very fast. Thankfully these devices seemed to have an automated system to contain these leaks. The problem was it could only operate continuously for a few hundred years before it needed to do some type of cooldown. Kerbals finally had a breakthrough. They could study these monuments and their data that contained technologies and blueprints that they didn't even seem possible. Luck was finally on the horizon, these Artifacts could offer a way to traverse the galaxy and maybe even colonize it. Maybe even leave it entirely... A plan, a dream was materialized, there was a chance that they would live no more underground. The scientists and the engineers decided it was worth to fully commit in this endeavor. The statistics showed that there was enough time to study and acquire the knowledge to create a space program that hopefully would lead the first attempt to colonize other planets. Kerbals accepted long time ago that their planet was lost.Even if the radiation bursts stopped, life could never be the same. Now there was hope, now there was a goal. Inside the mountain cities and underground bunkers Kerbals were bursting with excitement. They designed and build whatever they could within the tight space and materials in hand. When it would be safe enough, they would venture out and start building and launching the first crazy contraptions to go beyond anyone has ever dreamed for. The feint signals , that now is known as a certainty that they come throughout the whole galaxy, indicate even more insane contraptions and technologies waiting to be conquered. The data is incomplete and it almost seems like a galaxy-wide sized puzzle waiting to be solved. They have some time and they are not gonna miss the chance. Kerbals want to live above the ground, if its not on Kerbin it will be on the surface of a different planet. Kerbin is lost...but hope is not.

Shadow Flickering Problem
Serenity replied to SpaceBooper's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, unmodded installs)
Reads like use it at your own risk and experience unexpected results... -
Its not that, this is like a known problem for a while now....i am sad to see this is still happening Multiple confirmed bug reports for this problem... https://bugs.kerbalspaceprogram.com/projects/ksp/search?utf8=✓&scope=subprojects&issues=1&q=flickering Most use scatterer mod to fix it but i don't use it Edit Anth12 solution seems to work just fine.

Shadow Flickering Problem
Serenity replied to SpaceBooper's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, unmodded installs)
Edit: I think this problem/bug still exists with the new patch but don't have enough time to know for sure . Neither of these solutions worked for me in the previous patch, gonna try them again... Take notice if you are using Scatterer mod this will fix it so it doesn't matter if you apply other ''solutions'' if you have that mod. -
They added this: Playing a science/sandbox game in which Kerbals are restricted to class traits but all probes have access to all SAS modes is now possible. So i am guessing you encountered a bug where the game thinks you chose this option, maybe post in Technical Support or to the bugtracker and hopefully someone will figure out how to edit the persistent to make it a ''normal'' game.

Try disabling the new option for ladders in settings, i can't really remember it, waiting for the next patch... I read somewhere if you turn off that new ladder option(something like in the end of the ladder to stop) it fixes problems like yours, give it a try...hopefully a patch comes soon, i am starting to miss Kerbal

Infinite loading screen. [SOLVED]
Serenity replied to ShuttlePilot's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, unmodded installs)
Do you happen to Alt+Tab while in loading screen? Its probably not that but alt tabbing while loading doesn't help much . Also if you are on steam disable cloud saving and verify files just in case. Maybe even manually delete the folder but the above should be enough. -
Empyrion was one of my favorites games that i had to stop playing. Every update and every new feature needs a new save to be applied. I miss that game but having to restart again and again to enjoy a bug fix or content update...ugh...so far Kerbal has avoided that. Hopefully that will continue to be the case for any new future changes/updates.

I agree that industrial might will probably be extraterrestrial but i doubt it will be humans that operate it. It will most likely be heavy automated with very few human operators and not like Expanse that there is a whole nation living around it.

Yeah, GTA Online was a major disaster.I don't even bother with it, all these unbalanced crazy things roaming around and the constant asking to spend money to buy stuff. I am pretty sure single player expansions were cancelled because of online...and GTA 6 probably delayed some extra years until Online stops giving money. You can/should try FiveM Servers, they are pretty stable and you can roleplay more without having to worry about all the stuff official has. Also it doesn't affect the game files so you can play both, official and Fivem with the same install and don't have to worry about getting banned etc since it doesn't modify any of the files.

Are you a developer/writer on a game called Breathedge, i swear if you don't know it, it seems right up on your alley, you gonna love it. Its getting a full release soon as well, its already great just missing some final parts. https://store.steampowered.com/app/738520/Breathedge/
