  1. So you installed 1.5 directly over your old installation? That could have left artefacts that's causing an issue. Install everything again, but to a different location, and see if that one launches.
  2. Is the SquadExpansion folder inside your GameData folder? You're going to have to be way more specific than "in my C drive", as for most computers that essentially means "It's on my computer." What's the full path for your install?
  3. I did have this happen to me in 1.3.1 once. This is probably not your cause, but since you have KIS/KAS installed... Turns out the game really didn't like having struts just floating around in space. I had removed some struts via KAS on EVA, and since I couldn't put them in the kerbal's inventory, they just floated about. Game really didn't like that, and would do what you're suggesting after a bit. Don't have any weird parts floating around as debris, do you?
  4. AFAIK the console versions are based on KSP 1.2.2, and MH needs 1.4.x to work. So I wouldn't hold my breath until a major console update.
  5. What about playing with some really old versions of KSP?
  6. There are very few mods that actually have different versions based on OS. I can only think of one, I don't remember what it is, but I do know there's at least one. After you install the same KSP version on your laptop, just copy your entire GameData folder over, except the GameData/Squad folder. (It might be fine - I just don't know if there's OS differences in there.) Specing the laptop, you want to focus on single thread performance of the CPU. I would still go with no less than 8 GB of RAM, but you would probably be ok with 6 depending on how modded you are. Discreet GPU is nice, but harder to find in cheaper laptops. Get a cooling pad. This game will run it hot no matter how good the CPU is, and you might hit thermal throttling without external cooling. I would recommend a Linux Mint (because it's what I know, and I hate Ubuntu's unity DE) install with a lightweight DE, like Xfce. I personally run MATE, but not for hardware reasons. I just like MATE.

    Heyo!

I love me some Dres. I haven't been in a long, long time though. Make sure to ping this thread whenever you post something official about it! Oh, and welcome aboard!
  8. Yeah that's always bothered me.
  9. I've found them pretty straightforward. Is there something specific you're having issues with? You should be able to just click the table button in the editor, tell it how big you want the table, then enter the info into each box. Table! Colors Shapes Red Square Blue Circle
  10. I think the only way to do it pure stock would be to get every piece but one orbital, then bring everything down one at a time.... so not really like it is. You could use this. It's similar to stage recovery, but you still have to do all the work. Just not all at once.
  11. My base clock is 4.2, turbo of 4.5. Haven't dabbled in OCing yet, still trying to figure out the OC on the memory.
  12. Are you sure they're legit? When you changed your passwords, did you go to the sites separately, or did you click on links in the emails? Even if you think it's legit, when you get an email from something like that wanting you to do something on your account, always go to the site and log in as normal - never click the link inside the email.
  13. Sure have. I was 5. TUBM has all three generations of Xbox.
  14. Every year about this time, my wife continuously mutters something along the lines of "I can't wait for the first frost so everything dies."
  15. If you're felling brave, I believe you could edit the save file to make the kerbal in the pod a pilot instead of an engineer.
  16. This is where I get confused, because why would you just continue to re-purchase it instead of contacting Squad's tech support? Also, I'm concerned that they would let you re-purchase the game with the same account. I don't know of any online retailer that lets you purchase multiple copies of digital games. AFAIK there's simply a downloads tab once you log in. I got mine from GoG, so I don't know exactly. Hopefully someone that got theirs from the store can provide you with a screenshot. You may also want to contact Squad about possibly getting some kind of refund... may not work, but they should not have let you buy the game more than once. Unless, of course, you were making multiple accounts..
  17. Instructions are literally in what you quoted. Where did you get it from? If they're not updating what you can download, then you did not get it from an authorized distributor.
  18. Please tell me you're joking about re-buying the game over and over. You buy it once, you get updates for life. The only exception is if you buy the Making History DLC, which you buy that once... and get its updates for life. You simply go where you got it the first time, and download it again, but the newer version. Back up your saves if you want to migrate them, install new version, and if you want, uninstall the old version. Unless you got it through Steam, in which case it will update for you automatically. What do you mean parents' account? Computer user account? Bank account? Store account?
  19. At least they're doing them. I asked mine to clean her room for 10-20 minutes, and so far has spent about 3 hours screaming at me about it instead of doing it.
  20. I tried two pieces that were well over 1km each, I honestly forgot to look at actual length. They were only about 15 or so parts each. I was using some insanely long trusses, I believe from DSEV. But each piece was built past the camera range using Hangar Extended. Obviously did not launch those, just F12'd them up for rendevous. It was taking so long for them to even get in position that honestly I just got bored and quit. Not because of slow FPS, but they were just very limited on RCS and Wheel authority.... being so long. Plus I kept losing target lock somehow, and it didn't like to target specific parts for some reason.
  21. Not in, on. I have a top mounted hot swap dock.https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811353100
  22. It's about that time. I'm going to give career a shot again. Gonna shake it up though. No manned missions. Ever. No extra ground stations, require signal for probe control, and plasma blackout. The mods I'm running give me probes right at the beginning, so it should be doable.
