  1. I really wish the tracking panels had a "Lock rotation" option in the PAW. I've been up and down my screenshots, and this is probably the least conventional "lander" I could find. It's also a rover, with (terrible) ISRU capabilities. It was designed for Dres colonization. Can land, do its thing, then return to orbit for refueling.
  2. That solar panel clipping though. *cringe*
  3. I think it's hilarious that < 5MB of text is so much more of a pain than 100+ MB of pictures.

    Hi

    Hello! Welcome!
  5. @Mako Agreed, no way of knowing. I was just throwing it out there as a possibility that should be considered.
  6. As someone who's been a part of a beta test for a piece of hardware, It's possible that a lot of feedback goes straight into the trash. We reported a lot of device-breaking problems with that thing that were still present when the product was released. Also, was there time to fix the problems? They had two issues they were dealing with - the quality of the port, and the barrage of users who'd been screwed by the first port who wanted the new one NOW and PERFECTLY.
  7. I'm certainly not an expert, but I do know that the new Firefox Quantum crap is designed for multiple cores. Maybe it's sucking some sweet clock cycles from the core running KSP? I dunno. All I can say for sure is that the new, shiny, faster FF is certainly slower than the previous versions.
  8. Understood, not what I'd gotten from context. Thank you for clarifying.
  9. You have that backwards. In stock, eclipses will kill solar panels without any visual clues. However it appears you're running visual mods, so they're probably what's mucking you up. I've never seen stock get that dark.
  10. Not big on overclocking. The i5 does pretty well, 15% is about what I would expect. Ideally I would have done the 7700K when I built this thing, not sure why I talked myself out of it at that time. Not too worried about resale value. Either it'll get stored for a future build or a backup, or my wife will get it to replace her G4400 (unlikely, since her computer is basically a Facebook machine) I'll look at the Alpenföhn Brocken Eco, thank you for the suggestion. Seems right about what I expected to spend. B250, but not worried since I won't be overclocking. I do see overclocking options in the UEFI though, but I haven't tried them to see if they actually do anything.
  11. Hey guys, could use a little advice. It's tax time, and I'm looking at adding a few ponies to the KSP machine. KSP certainly isn't the only thing it does, but it is its primary mission. I currently have an Intel i5-7500 @ 3.4ghz I'd like to go to an i7. The two I'm looking at are the i7-7700 @ 3.6ghz and the i7-7700K @ 4.2ghz The K is about $35 more, and doesn't come with a cooler. The only difference I see(and understand) other than the clock speed is the wattage, 91 vs 65. Given that, I'm assuming my current i5 stock cooler will not be enough. I'm leaning towards the K, but I don't know squat about what makes a good cooler. I don't want to go water. Are those sweet extra 600mhz worth it? Any advice on the cooling? According to this, the three processors have single thread benchmarks of: i5-7500: 2,119 i7-7700: 2,350 i7-7700K: 2,582 But I don't know what those numbers really mean. Thoughts? Advice?
  12. Been there, sorta. I failed my softmore English class because I refused to get up and do the 3 required presentations. I barely managed to pass it again the next year by doing one of them. Given the grading terms you're giving us, I'm assuming you're not in the US. Here, that looks like it may be some kind of ADA violation at this point. Not sure if you have something comparable. Might be worth looking into, if you're diagnosed.
  13. Clearly. TUBM has an animated avatar.
  14. Not the same thing. You didn't specify that you had the player. But it's moot. It was pulled, and getting snippy at people who have no power to bring it back for not knowing something that you didn't say isn't the answer. There's nothing wrong with requesting its return or to find some way to get your hands on an old version, but you're not entitled to it. You asked a question, and the other members here gave you an answer. I'm sorry it's not the one you're wanting. You're essentially walking into Best Buy and screaming at another customer because they no longer carry disc copies of the aforementioned Roller Coaster Tycoon, and they should because you still use an old computer that can run it.
  15. Couldn't you just pull that component for that craft out of an older save, and stick it back in where it belongs on the newer one? I'm assuming it didn't have any children if it's all the disappeared.
  16. Welcome! We have members from all over the place, I bet you actually aren't the first Indonesian. Your English is just fine, I understood every word.
  17. Everyone starts somewhere! Suggestion though, if you plan on branching out. Instead of copying and modifying the files, try doing what you did with ModuleManager patches. Learning how to use that would help you a lot down the road if you do start doing bigger mods.
  18. Nope! And it actually clues you in that it's not Jeb because the pilot icon at the upper left is yellow. I think it's Bob. It might be Bill. Maybe Bob. Or Bill.
