That's probably true. To continue the trend, TUBM has Phobophobia.
-
Not that I'm opposed to giving Squad more money, but the same process would kill the auto updates. I actually like the clock. Almost makes me wish I'd gotten the Steam version... Almost.
-
I've really been meaning to build something like this, just haven't gotten around to it (It probably involves math.... which I usually avoid while playing). Maybe that's what I'll work on tonight...

You know you can play Steam games without using Steam, and therefore not adding to a clock.. right?

How to calculate Delta V?
Geonovast replied to JEB'S DESTINY's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
It's stated in the KER thread that it works fine with 1.3.1. Many people, including myself, are running it in 1.3.1 without any problems. -
Or better yet, an actual submission form with all fields required.
-
uh... not true? I think? I haven't seen Episode 8 yet, and I honestly don't remember when I saw 7, or 3.5. TUBM can drive a manual transmission.
-
Nonsense! Asking questions about gameplay and help with problems is, like, 80% of why this forum exists. As @Snark said, with mod specific stuff like this, the mod's thread is your best bet. And welcome!

Nerp. @regex Haven't seen you around in awhile. Where you at?
-
Ehh... depends? You definitely want to design your landers differently. It's easy to get a tall thin craft down on the Mun. Minmus' gravity is so low, that it's very easy to bounce on contact. If it's a tall and thin craft, it'd be very easy to tip over. For Minmus you want to build short and wide. Get the landing legs as far out as possible.

totm aug 2023 What funny/interesting thing happened in your life today?
Geonovast replied to Ultimate Steve's topic in The Lounge
It's hard to argue in that specific case, but something had to generate that electricity. For all you know (and you don't, because it's impossible to know), but the thing that generated that electricity for the electric trains was actually less efficient and more environmentally damaging than the diesel engine. -
I usually keep'm small (as you've seen). I also don't play career, so they rarely have any science equipment on them. I'd link some pictures, but CubeUpload just broke.

What do you guys drink while playing or do you drink at all?

Coffee is all kinds of gross. Coffee ice cream, though... -
Kompakt Nuclear Prop Plane - Eve/Kerbin
Geonovast replied to Geonovast's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Thanks! It works quite well on Laythe too. Duna, not so much. Shocking, I know. -
...what? What figures? What chat?

I built a compact, easy to stow nuclear electric plane. Specifically for Eve, but it gets around on Kerbin just fine too. With the reactor at 35%, its expected life is "Almost Forever" Plane (folded): Parts: 20 Mass: 1.713t H: 2.4m W: 2.5m L: 5.2m https://kerbalx.com/Geonovast/Eve-Nuke-Plane Same plane, but enclosed in the Eve Drop Pod: Parts: 54 Mass: 10.325t H: 8.4m W: 9.7m L: 13.8m https://kerbalx.com/Geonovast/Eve-Nuke-Plane-Drop A few mods required, they're listed on the KerbalX page. (I think it's accurate) My mod list at time of upload: @Leafbaron I believe this is relevant to your interests.

Change, Revert, POOF!
Geonovast replied to Jack5.exe's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Not so. Backwards compatibility is a wonderful thing. It allows you to use older saves in a newer version. Forward compatibility is not only stupid, but nearly impossible to implement. Once you saved your 1.3 save in 1.3.1, it became a 1.3.1 save. 1.3 doesn't know what to do with a save from a version that didn't exist when it was released. You should have backed up your save before even attempting this. Don't blame the devs for doing what makes sense. It's also not the dev's issue if you don't confirm mod compatibility before upgrading. -

Kerbal Space Program Enhanced Edition Grand Discussion thread

30 lives? Is there a demo (Xbox One)? I'd still baffled on how to play this game on a console and would like to try it out.- 310 replies

Been there, sorta. They actually made the decision 30 minutes before my shift started.... which is still not enough time. I (and the guy a picked up on my way to work) were out in the smoking tent when the decision was made. They didn't bother to call either of us. Apparently we were the only ones to not call in, since it had dropped about a foot of snow in the 6 hours before we started, and I was the only one brave enough to tromp through it. "Can we at least push a broom for an hour to pay for coming in?" "No, go home."

What do you guys drink while playing or do you drink at all?
Geonovast replied to GregOrmay's topic in The Lounge
Oh, I know. I've tried to quit caffeine several times. Longest I lasted was 3 months. Then I'd have a bad, draggy day, end up having some low caffeine tea or something, then it snowballs. Part of the Monster problem is actually the taste. The tea based ones, and the Pipeline Punch, taste really good. The tea ones are also only 20 calories a can. I wish they would make caffeine free Monster... As for alcohol possibly being better... no. Not for me. I've been drunk a total of one time, on my 21st birthday. I've had about 4 drinks total in the 9 years since that. It was a rather depressive night, and I haven't enjoyed any of the drinks since then. I just have no desire for alcohol. If I drank alcohol while KSPing, I'd likely turn into a pre-Nygard Chris Traeger every time one of my Kerbals died. -
I've been on a pretty good B*Witched kick lately. Even moreso than I was when they got started. I was never big into The Cranberries. In fact, I could only name two of their songs, and I'm sure they're two that everyone can name. Usually celebrity deaths don't bother me so much (unless they actually had some influence on me. Leonard Nimoy's death was upsetting) not sure why this one is picking at me.

totm march 2020 So what song is stuck in your head today?
Geonovast replied to SmileyTRex's topic in The Lounge
Three monitors helps. I don't have to turn my head, it's just in the periphery. Plus I've seen the entire show like 12 times..
