  1. Made a small rocket with a reusable second(but not first) stage. Airbrakes are very useful.
  2. Remember to debug menu my craft into a 100 km mun orbit sans crew. Type 300 for SMA. (Because of Mun radius)
  3. Its a thin ribbon at the very top of the page. Just above the search bar.
  4. What do you mean by "kerbalx 1.3". Does it detect your version and make only people with 1.3 use a screenshot?
  5. I uploaded mine without pictures. Maybe just put in a random photo? If you just scroll down, there should be a publish button.
  6. Maybe you have too many and it is lagging? You don't need any.
  7. Reusable lander successfully in orbit around Mun! Here is the craft file: https://kerbalx.com/DAL59/RML Actually, the version doesn't matter. https://imgur.com/a/utgdJ
  8. Clampo-tron normal size. That's my version We aren't using save files. Instead, we are using the craft files, the merge option in the VAB, and the debug menu's set orbit.
  9. With ISRU, perfect self-sufficiency is not needed. Mars has plenty of non-liquid water, like icecaps, large underground glaciers, and near-constant 100% humidity. The moon, on the other hand, has very little water, except at the poles. The much larger Martian gravity than lunar gravity also might be important. Though low gravity can be mitigated via "tilted donut" cities.
  10. Orbiter 2010 has n-body physics, and it is not much more difficult than ksp in terms of maneuvering, because of the highly versatile and clear displays.
  11. Please stay on topic. Also, this isn't about whether we should go to Mars, but guessing whether NASA or Spacex will get their first and by when.
  12. Must have no mods! (remember, you can have multiple installs of ksp for no additional cost) Craft files will be shared on kerbalx.com . Each player launches a segment into lunar orbit. It will be in a 100 km circular equatorial Munar orbit. The PPM must be launched first, but the others can be in any order. Segments: 1. Power and Propulsion Module- this will have four ion engines and xenon, and a docking port node(5 ports), plus solar panels. - @Bottle Rocketeer 500 2. Cislunar Habitat Module- This will need to have a hitch hiker module. - @TheMadKraken2297 3. Logistics module- This will have a lab, ISRU unit, and ore tank - @GLaDOS42 4. Airlock module- An inline mk1 cockpit. 5. Reusable munar lander- this must carry two kerbals, be single stage, and have ore tanks and drills. The point is it can land, fill up with ore, and then take that ore back to the DSG for conversion and refueling. - @DAL59 6. Send a crew to the station! After these steps are done, I will release more modules to transform the station into a spaceship to go to Duna. Since you can now merge crafts now in the VAB, just load all the previous crafts, attach them together, and use the debug menu to get them into the required orbit.
  13. Discovered that some dates of posts in the last pages of the forums are a bit off A * bit * Go to the last page of suggestions to see for yourself.
  14. Simulating the drifting would require n body though, unless something akin to the wind mod was implemented.
  15. Actually, Spacex has downsized its ITS, so it doesn't need to build a new VAB.
  16. Maybe "end game" buildings, like perhaps a ten million kredit space elevator.
  17. True, but on rails dockable sphere are the only thing that could be achieved without an unlikely overhaul. Orbiter 2010 has a slightly different maneuvering system, but the crafts are still very pilotable. You just need course corrections, like in RL.
  18. Since the munar gravity isn't simulated, you can only do that for L3, L4, and L5. If you tried to do L1 or L2, the slower period orbit would quickly lag far behind the Mun.
