  1. This only adds to the kerbals disappointment when the land there. Not only is it not minty icecream, it not even ice! Honestly I think that adds more to the character of Minmus. Not sure how removing characteristics paradoxically adds to its character.
  2. I know this is old but to follow up, Steam's force quit prompt in the shift+tab menu quits the game instantly. I mean, faster than Task Manager. Fantastic!
  3. This. Thisthisthis. The mmH engines could very well be nuclear salt rockets and we wouldn't care despite NSW having a much higher ISP.
  4. I'm just gonna get to the point: we can split hairs over what's too unrealistic for KSP, but I think everyone else here just sees a fun gameplay challenge and not a 'massive' lapse in realism, and quite frankly spending hours trying to explain how the density doesn't work out won't convince us this won't be a fun activity.
  5. But KSP 2 is based on real-life (albeit downscaled for floating point errors) and the rings will not deviate from the equator. I'm clueless where you got the idea that the rings aren't aligned with the planet. Let's just forget about the Daedalus engines, capable of burning for years, and that there are planets IRL much denser, lighter, bigger and smaller than Earth, so you can keep wailing on this tiny and comparatively terrible engine along with the planet you think best suits it.
  6. That's not realistic - the rings should stay locked to the equator due to frame dragging effects. The planets' axis aren't gonna be locked like the original KSP, they will be tilted and this is evident in Ovin's rings. You're out for those mmH engines, aren't you?
  7. Ok and A view matched by Kerbin in Minmus' sky. Minmus' flat slopes, helpful for testing, beats Val's cryovolcanoes.
  8. A DLC isn't worth spending money on here, and I'm certainly not dishing out another entire wallet for a feature that could be done equally well by hobbyists. Kerbinside certainly offered a lot more than Making History, and didn't lag my game around its own launch sites, and ReStock+ beat the living heck out of the base game, redoing its awfully boring textures and filling holes in the haphazard parts selection. But Squad gets paid and puts their stuff in the core game, so it must be better than what modders do... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ mMm
  9. And that's all based on KSP 1, which we know won't be as versatile as KSP 2 with modding.
  10. And mods won't be able to do this how? Like, man, I don't see how yall can sit here going "I wish I didn't have this spare 20 bucks".
  11. This is all going to be rather pointless in the face of mods. How are you gonna make a DLC out of solar sails in a game with nuclear bomb engines and interstellar travel?
  12. Are you joking? That would sort of defeat the entire purpose of KSP, wouldn't it? We know for a fact KSP 1 isn't separated by loading times when transferring between planets. This is a pretty silly concern to have.
  13. Overrated, you go 70 million kilometers for what's essentially Minmus without the near 0g antics. Underrated: Duna. Not far, has a thin atmosphere that makes building aircraft challenging and fun.
  14. I'll tell you myself - I posted in here before only to have no-one reply to me because someone else showed up lol
  15. What are you talking about? Rings are tied to the axial tilt and won't budge due to the relativistic effects that keep them around the rotational equator. Seasons are caused by the orbit of the planet moving the Sun from out beneath a planet's axial pole, and not the axis spinning away.
  16. Then they'd either make the DLCs free, have them as toggleable options or just keep the gameplay focused and the gameplay loops tight. Evidently they're milking the game for all the players will pay for trivial additions. Well an indie dev kept KSP 1 afloat for a decade, why can't the KSP 2 team keep it afloat without milking it horrendously?
  17. Except you're wrong because most of the marketing has to do with making space travel and physics accessible to a wider audience. The editor is a necessity to KSP's goals.
  18. It isn't hard to search 'dark/luna multiplayer', put it in gamedata and find a good server. Usually there's 2/3 people on these servers which isn't bad. I'm not sure what world you've been trapped in. Exactly.
  19. I'd like it if Intercept could get it right from the getgo, make sure the base game is as complete as possible, and refrain from milking it overtly. Outer Wilds is an instance of a game where the one and only DLC adds what's essentially a microcosm for the (already perfect) main game's story, and Mobius have pledged to only release one DLC. The devs aren't overcome with greed. It'll be a turnoff if I see KSP 2 milked like this, containing stuff that should have been included in the pricey base game. Besides, mods will probably already do all this but better, so what's the point?
