I always wondered: fan utlization manners

SPC? What do you mean by that -
Building the Future, logical next DLC?
0something0 replied to NSEP's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Personally, I don't consider the DLCs "stock" as its not included in the base game. Besides, considering the new EULA, T2 could stop a certain mod to boost sales of a DLC. -
You could make a really big planet and have only a small portion of that be the actual flat earth. I'm also thinking if its possible to use Kerbal Konstructs to make a giant dome as to keep the people in the flat earth from going around the planet and finding that its not flat.

Building the Future, logical next DLC?
0something0 replied to NSEP's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
What about constructs that act as parts? I doubt that a mod can be created so a construct can do things like refueling, mining, etc to set up a industrial base offworld to create things like launchpads and cities. That would pave the way for true permanent colonization efforts rather then sticking a tin can on a planrt and calling that a colony. -
Tried going to the mun and got some weird encounters. Didn't actually go there though because of sleep https://imgur.com/a/4Ao0t https://imgur.com/a/WIMHl (How do I post images?)

Does a mod like this exist already?
0something0 replied to theroundcow's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
I believe Kerbal Konstructs does something similar to this. -
Loading. Just loading. How does one speed it up?
0something0 replied to Linventor's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
If you don't have an SSD and can afford to do so, then get an SSD.- 41 replies

It actually takes up more RAM than the stock configs or SVE low re, textures... Also I'm looking for 1.3.1 mods
-
I want to use cloud mods such as EVE but I don't have a lot of RAM to spare. I looked into the files and found a bunch of rather large files. However, a cloud addon that simply adds a cloud texture layer onto is all I need. Is there a way to do this? Or somehow drastically reduce RAM usage of EVE? And yes, I do have texture settings all the way down.

Could you try to replicate the kraken with pics and such?

Real plume addon?

Doesn't stock SRBs do something similar? -
Anyone like to play "Space Agency" android game, it like KSP
0something0 replied to Pawelk198604's topic in The Lounge
I don't like it because of its inaccurate orbital mechanics. Lime, if you are going to do orbits do it right! -
Kerbal Space Program: Making History Expansion - Release Date Announcement
0something0 replied to SQUAD's topic in 2018
Will I need to purchase the DLC to get the parts or will that be shipped to all players for 1.4? I think that is kinda dumb considering there are mods with 1.875 meter parts, historical capsules, and whatnot for free so it doesn't make much sense to force people to pay for the parts (not the mission builder) unless they come with some miraculous functionality that requires access to hardcoded/unmoddable functions- 444 replies

Distant Objects Enhancement is the mod that you seem to be looking for. You can see the skybox that you are using (default or otherwise) during night however.

Meta-mod idea: per-game mod manager
0something0 replied to Teilnehmer's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
You can manually switch the gamedata folders around. I do it renaming the gamedata folder to something else when I don't wanna use that specific folder abd the mods in it. You gotta do the same with the CKAN registry file if you do use CKAN. There probably is a way to automatically place in the right gamedata folder and launch KSP using a batch/shell script but I haven't tried it. -
I think we are dealing with memory leaks here. It happens to my understanding when code fails to properly clean up unneeded data on RAM. But I het other people here can explain way better then me.

Anyone else think the Ariane rocket family looks really Kerbal'?
0something0 replied to XrayLima's topic in KSP1 Discussion
The N1 didnt look kerbal. It worked in a kerbal manner though -
If this is for video purposes you should try shooting the interiors on the launchpad, and maybe have the different rooms be diffrent vessels i.e. the engineering would be a diffrent vessels from the bridge and when a kerbal takes the turbolift to Engineering you load in the corresponding vessel and blend the scene postproduction.

Furthest from the Sun in one year[stock]
0something0 replied to goduranus's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
I think instead of limiting launch mass to 1000t per launch, the score should be based off Altitude/TotalMass And nukes/ions should be allowed and timewarp mods too. -
How feasible would it be to include CKAN as part of the game or as a free DLC? Wait, do they also have to be ported separately?

The Horrifying Implications of the Kerbin Crater
0something0 replied to Ace in Space's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I disagree. If Kerb in was denser then Earth, then more impact power would have been needed to create the same sized crater. -
Suggestion for achievable Space Elevators and Skyhooks
0something0 replied to Periapse's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
I also was thinking of a similar thing but with parts. There would be a hub at geostationary orbit with a space elevator part and a ground vessel with the part that has to be on the equator beneath the orbital station to deploy. Then another vessel near the station or the base could go to the ground or to the station respectivly. This would allow such structures to be deployed on oher planets- 7 replies

I just came up with this idea but how about a rocket sled that doesn't leave the surface but accelerates the shuttle to a decent speed at launch to decouple?
