I never thought that block 6 is real. I thought block 5 is final version, designed to man the ISS -
It will be good to see such a cheap rocket fly. The cheaper, the better.

bouncy landing gear
Xd the great replied to Xd the great's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, modded installs)
I use medium gears already. If i use smaller gear, my plane cannot take off. -
bouncy landing gear
Xd the great replied to Xd the great's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, modded installs)
I have the mod, but it still bounces -
After updating to v 1.4.4, my planes start bouncing during landing. I use mechjeb autopilot which brakes on landing, and the whole plane bounces around like crazy. I tuned down the spring strength already. Any solutions?

Block 4 is thrown away as it is designed to demonstrate reuseability. Therefore, the cost and time of refurbrishment is high. Block 5 is designed for more rapid reuseability, probably under 24 hours. Also, these are cheaper to reuse. Bye, block 4 rockets. -
Need Some Scientific Facts For an Idea of Mine
Xd the great replied to daniel l.'s topic in Science & Spaceflight
Well, as stuff gets squished together, fusion happrns more quickly, so i would say thatthe Suns size remains the same after a bit of squishing. The end point of fusions is iron, so i would imagine a lot of iron in the Sun. Then, a supernova explosion, just smaller scale. Presumably blowing away half the solar system. Then a neutron star, then a black hole. I am just a kid, so these are not accurate. -

Oh Dang I Forgot To...
Xd the great replied to The Flying Kerbal's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
I always forget to clear out crew so jeb often has to bail out...Aka fall from the vessel and hoping not to be killed. -
Have you checked the .cfg file for bugs? Pure guess, I use ksp v 1.4.3 Nice mod by the way. Finally be able to do something real kerbal style. Will you make the mod able to rescale parts to larger sizes or rescale multiple parts at once?

Redirect asteroid by mining it for reaction mass?
Xd the great replied to zolotiyeruki's topic in Science & Spaceflight
Ah I see your point. You are comparing asteroids with asteroids. I am comparing asteroid speeds with daily life speeds. -
Redirect asteroid by mining it for reaction mass?
Xd the great replied to zolotiyeruki's topic in Science & Spaceflight
How did we get to this lol. Anyway, most of that energy comes from the speed. A wrecking ball smashing into the ground does much less damage than that asteroid, even with same weight. -
Well, that video is about falcon 9 and stuff. Not Saturn Five. Faalcon 9 is huge, but Saturn Five is even bigger.

Redirect asteroid by mining it for reaction mass?
Xd the great replied to zolotiyeruki's topic in Science & Spaceflight
Ok lets start this. A bunch of stuff were orbiting their CoM. Some of the stuff collapse and formed the Sun. The rest of the stuff formed planets and asteroids and comets. Thats how asteroids velocity comes from. Anyway, the released energy is transformed from the velocity and the gravity potential energy. What causes these energy to be stored inside I am not sure (something about our solar system is a leftover from other stars... Conservation of angular momentum?) -

well most of that energy comes from its speed, not its mass. -
KSP inspired me to design a liquid-fueled rocket engine
Xd the great replied to ap0r's topic in Science & Spaceflight
I think you mean ablasive coating. It should work, but your engine can only be fired for a limited time. Plus it is expensive. -
Advanced radiative cooling through meta-materials
Xd the great replied to Streetwind's topic in Science & Spaceflight
Ah photonic propulsion. Why not just use this material to emit photons? Might be great for solar sails. -

What causes the released energy? SPEED.
