  1. The one in russia was like 19km per s. When it slows down, the speed decreases to several km/s, so the change is like 15km/s. Both the change in PE and KE means that velocity is the main component and contributes to the crazy explosions. KE=1/2mv squared. So its like 225000000 joule released per kg. In a few minutes. Dont forget i just used the ke. Including PE, its like another 1000 joule per kg. So there you go, the released eneegy is absurdly high, cause the change in velocity is crazy.
  2. Explosion dust depends on the environment. True, but the 20m asteroid in russia in 2013(probably this year, i forgot) caused massive destruction. It is the velocity, not the mass, that does the most damage.
  3. Check your staging in the vab. Or just make sure you save and launch directly from the vab.
  4. Something about something not a root part? I am a noob, so dont ask me.
  5. Are you sure you are not looking at eve? Try removing caches. Or reinstall and uninstall. Or reinstall and undo what you have done to make the planet purple. Did you conduct any orbital surveys of kerbin? Screenshots and logs will help.
  6. Well, try levitating the rocket off the ground. Aka landing it on a giant rover.
  7. How do you position the landing gears? I suggest having 1 at the nose and 2 at the tip of the wings, presunably behind CoM. Craft files will help. Screenshots, anything.
  8. These are what I mean by scientific proof If someone actually have control over an asteroid and can aerobrake it/use it as a nuke, it will cause a global power imbalance. Aka all out war.
  9. Damn son. Also, how does the driver control the tank? I tried with mod wheels and the tank moved foward instead of the usual backward with stock wheels.
  10. well, there is. I really want to launch Kim Jong un into space atop a rocket(aka ICBM)
  11. The whole point of reuseability is its cost. I would surely like to see more reuseable launchcraft.
  12. Well, the space shuttle was way too expensive... Blue origin beat space by days? Plus using parachutes to crash into the ocean makes reuse expensive.
  13. That needs scientific proof. I am more worried about the shockwaves.
  14. So no fixing in space? I thought with the materials and stuff, we can just take it apart and rebuild it out there.
  15. Meh, spaceX already does that. But it will be interesting to see how they will do it.
  16. Do you have starters? Spark plugs? Hypergolic fuels? Those help with ignition...
  17. Well, will NASA be able to use the orion sls system to fix it if deployment goes wrong? In the future?
  18. Well, if the asteroid breaks apart, its surface area increases, so more of the asteroid should be burnt away. But you now have 2 or more smmaller nukes incoming, rather than 1...
  19. Somehow, i believe the round was meant as a next generation weapon meant to use in space and funded by the Space Force. Or CIA.
  20. well I have been testing with kjr with no problem. Are there dependencies that you have not yet in stalled?
  21. I cant wait for jeff and elon to do a friendly project... Or just scream into each others ears on twitter... Well, there must be sufficient infrastructure if we use the mining and return method. Aka a bunch of autunomous robots. Plus we must also consider the chemical composition of the moon...
  22. Well, giant matchsticks needs to be improved to lazer starters...
