  1. What do you mean? sorry don't understand
  2. Yeeee, so go for it! I love it so much too (even more with RP-1), and when bored, I just nicely go back to stock (modded too) to relax, and do some crazy kerbal stuff.
  3. Just launched the Voyager probe to do the first Jupiter and then Saturn flybys! Launched with Titan III-E. Ejection burn aim to a Jupiter encounter, and then a deep space maneuver to fine tune Jupiter periapsis, and so perform a gravity assist which will bring me to Saturn (with then a correction burn too) ! Jupiter encounter in 2 years and a half, don't know for Saturn, maybe 4 years! Nice morning launch: Voyager payload assist module finalazing ejection burn: After deep space maneuver, showing nice Jupiter's gravity making me encounter Saturn: Now, just have to wait!
  4. Very useful mod, use it a lot (and clear and nice design as well) ! You know what would be awesome? A planewiki for realsolarsystem mod..
  5. I launched 2 orbiter to Mars and Venus in polar orbit, with high aerobraking to reduce deltav needed to capture (but without burning up!), they goal is to provide communication for future landers/rovers in the body surface, and start mapping the surface too. Also launched the first extrabody rover, the Lunokhod (hitorically launched in 1969) ! Laaanding: Get rid of those fairings And now travellling a 10 km around the moon surface, transmitting imaging and surface sample data. Kind of real replica
  6. Pics always good, just one is enough And nice mod too! License? EDIT: sorry, just saw it on spacedock, but good to put it in the forum thread too
  7. Yee, contracts works mostly, but you might better check it ( didn't tried rescue, etc, I think there spawning locations will be incorrect). With a few patches like that, you could make it fully compatible (imagin a rescue mission at top of Himalaya ! ) I'll say to you through testing how it goes
  8. Of course, no problem Nice! A video of the code working when completed would be awesome
  9. Yup, imagin Neil Amstrong in this ridiculous KSP nasa style lander instead of beautiful Apollo LM, would have been fun. I made a not historical version with descent and ascent stage. Ascent stage is really ridiculous haha:
  10. Ye, brutal nasa plan, since centaur is jetisoned at 2500 above terrain: (still simulating for now )
  11. Simulating lightweight early nasa proposal for manned moon landing, gemini lander (~2t only!), ad so the gemini spacecraft is used. 2 launches, first a centaur stage with the lander at top of it, then the crew with the Gemini, docking to centaur who'll do the Moon transfer and initial descent. Maybe I'll go for this And completed first docking contract, so gemini again! Docked with ATV:
  12. Meanwhile, 300km above Earth water, two Gemini spacecrafts flying together First Earth rendez-vous contract completed, launched with Titan LV. Neil Amstrong's pics from command pod: Just as the real pic :
  13. Haha, well you sayed "thing big" Yep, good!
  14. Ye, in normal difficulty, let's say the game is easy you should: Any manned interplanetary mission, Duna base camp, Laythe and back manned mission, etc. Build a huge glorious space station above kerbin, then above Mun, then above Minmus, then everywhere. Then capture asteroids, and build base in those asteroids. build the biggest and expensive rocket you can with your current technology and watch it crash on launchpad (or not). Try to send a kerbal to Eve, and back to kerbin, and alive. Send a manned mission as close as the Sun you can, and build a space station there to have Kerbals getting their skin much green than they already had. Build an underwater base in kerbin, then on eve, then on laythe. Hire at least 100 kerbals, and send them and back in any planet/moon, in a single launch. Then, build and try to fly any crazy megalomaniac rocket/plane/rover/car/submarine/probe/thing/stuff design you can imagin. Then if if you lack inspiration, just hit "Kerbal space program" and "crazy" or "huge" or "amazing" in youtube search bar, you'll have inspiration for your career game for at least ten years.
  15. I just did a very early CREWED Moon flyby with one crew (historically apollo did that, but I can do it, so why not?! ) The rocket is called T(h)rusty, because it has juuuuust the right amount of deltav to do a free return moonar flyby: when achieved orbit, had 27 dv left, and after lunar transfer, well 0 dv left, (had to finish with RCS). The rocket is a Titan (AJ-7) and centaur upper stage, transfer stage is AJ-10 (advanced) with restart capacity. First stage improved with 2 early Titan solid boosters, which raise the launch mass at 510t, and initial thrust is 5 MegaNt! Crew: (always) Youri Gagarine, maybe his last mission, he start getting old and will retire soon. Pre-launch: LAUNCH! LES jetisoned (with some unplanned nice explosions.. ) Centaur stage getting hard to finnish this orbit: T(h)rusty spacecraft separation: After transfer burn and 2 days of travel, arrived at Moon, Youri is so gloriously happy Aimed return periapsis at 71km, to capture first and second reentry to land (precaution, and had some life support left) BUT: After what seems to be a bad design from Werner Von Braun, the antenna decoupler, under which ispacked the main parachute failed to decouple, letting the chute blocked.. so had to quicly get out of that pod with the science and using EVA personnal chute to land. Fiouuh! Safe, finally Youri splashed in Indian Ocean, near south west India.
  16. First Venus landing! the Venera-4 mission launched by Titan-Centaur Launch Vehicle, Transfer stage is AJ-10 advanced version. Lander separation, chute armed and programming the flight computer since I will not have working connection during reentry and landing. Reentry, hot hot hot! Final descent. And, our scientist were wrong, Venus surface is not white, those are clouds that oclude it! how stupid! () It's hot here, the whole thing almost overheated, but was fine finally. Have to wait 50 days to have connection and transmit the herculeous amount of science gathered. One thing sure, we'll not send any kerbals here, but wait, why not?
  17. Many things! I've upgraded my Titan LV in AJ-7 configuration (1964 tech), now burn Aerozine/NTO, and added great Centaur upper stage with restart capacity, making payload to orbit about 7 t. I've also unlocked lunar rated heatshield, meaning I can't return from the moon (what I did, with unmanned, but not landing), and land at Mars/Venus! Also unlocked the gemini stuff, so preparing for Gemini missions Preparing to launch: Inititial ascent Second stage (LR-91) firing Centaur stage finshing ( the whole thing take 11 min to make orbit!) Here I launch a probe to a Vesta flyby (Vesta is kind of big Gilly protoplanet orbiting in the asteroid belt) Also my third Mariner mission arrived to Mercury, goodness, it's hot here; just to see I put a maneuver node to see how much it takes to circularize, .. and was about 10000 d/v needed = not for now Very low flyby: Good bye Mercury:
  18. Haha, yes but it's great also. For instance, doing a successful manned mission make you feel as the king of universe
  19. Yes of course, and with Realism Overhaul to have realistic engines thrust, fuel, communication, etc, and RP-0 mod (career mod), well it's RP-1 which is udapted for 1.3.1. I recomend you RP-1 since stock career game is not balanced at all, but of course that's if you wan't to play career mode You should check the RP-0 discord: Installation instructions, support, cool community. Just look at the tech tree, all is balanced in historical progression:
  20. I just did the very first early career Venus and Mars flybys! Launched with early Titan, Interplanetary transfer with early AJ-10 (just the right deltav!), and for adjustement maneuvers two 1kn engines. I did my midcourses corrections to have flybys in both high atmospheres (without burning up hopefully) = more science! and to have working connection to Earth= can transmit science= mooore science! And science payload is.. well, a bunch of things. Probe used is explorer-6. Venus: Arrival Soon flying high: Good bye Venus Mars: (maybe one day we'll send some kerbals to visit this ) Arrival above North pole Flying high: Good bye Mars:
  21. For the first time, I did a very low tech unmanned moonar landing, achieved this by "adding more booster" famously knowned rule ( ). 4 castor boosters added to first Titan stage, and 3 little boosters to help orbit the moon ( and then jetisoned them, and have hopefully enough delta/v to land). I did it 3 times, first time failed, 2nd and 3rd I had less than 100 dv left in my lander! launch: Moon boosty capture Final descent Landed, and a bunch of science gathered
  22. First Kerbal in Earth orbit! I now have a new launch vehicle, my favorite, the Titan, because well suited for interplanetary, Moon landing, Gemini, Mercury, etc. Actually, early model burning Kerosene/Lqd Oxygen. Payload to LEO is 2/3 t. First Stage is LR-87, and second stage LR-91. Crew: Youri Gagarine. (Yes I know many pics, but manned missions are so rare in RP-1 ) Standing by launch: Youri took a photograph from launch tower for is wife when back: Ascent First stage separation: LES jetisoned: Ooooorbit! now Mercury spacecraft separation Youri stayed 1 day in orbit completing visual tracking, and liquids in microgravity experiments, then deorbited with the retrograde engines. Reentry: And back, what an historical day!
  23. Testing now ejection device installed here in modified X-1 cockpit to prepare for mercury missions. Since I have no upgrade points in SPH, this little thing took 400 days to build! Take off at 120 m/s, achieved mach 1.5 Going up Eject! mission success
