[1.9.1+] OPT Spaceplane Continued 3.4.9.2 (beta) [Apr 02, 2024]
wkwied replied to JadeOfMaar's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Very interesting. I've not tried much with the air breathing engines yet. Only doing the upmost basic kind of plane with a scaled down dark drive. I'll post some pictures later, but I did manage to nail both an Eve and Tylo take off and landing. Eve was by far the hardest.. I had to use mechjeb to help me hold a steady 20-30m/s climb... Entry was done pretty easy by hitting the 70km mark going less than 1500m/s. Landing though, on Eve and Kerbin... I need chutes. Thing needs to be going at least 150m/s to be airborne on Kerbin and it is otherwise a flying brick with a TWR of a bit over 1 -
[1.9.1+] OPT Spaceplane Continued 3.4.9.2 (beta) [Apr 02, 2024]
wkwied replied to JadeOfMaar's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I'm wondering, has anyone built a single stage to everywhere with these parts? I have a decent (abit simplistic) spaceplane that can single stage to and from Eve, built out of 2.5m parts and a single 2.5m scaled down dark drive. I've tried a bunch to try to build a stable plane out of J parts (with the lab and 5m unscaled dark drive) but I just can't get anything that big off the ground and also stable... but with my first build I have no way to regenerate dark goo... -
[1.9.1+] OPT Spaceplane Continued 3.4.9.2 (beta) [Apr 02, 2024]
wkwied replied to JadeOfMaar's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
That's a good question. I've installed all of these manually. I am a bit confused as to what is a dependency on which, and which has parts and whatnot. I three folders, opt, opt_legacy, and opt_reconfig edit Well I decided I might as well figure out CKAN and reinstall the things... and everything looks like it is working now. Easier to use than I thought -
[1.9.1+] OPT Spaceplane Continued 3.4.9.2 (beta) [Apr 02, 2024]
wkwied replied to JadeOfMaar's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
That seems to have worked. I had to remove Firespitter dll however, as the game wouldn't launch on 1.9.1 with it, it seems. Is firespitter 100% required? It came in the zip for OPT_Space_Plane-v2.0.1 -
[1.9.1+] OPT Spaceplane Continued 3.4.9.2 (beta) [Apr 02, 2024]
wkwied replied to JadeOfMaar's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Few questions The fuel tanks for this pack do not seem to register as fuel tanks. They have no alt click option. The rest of the parts seem to work. I'm using OPT Reconfig 2.1 and OPT Continued 2.1 on game version 1.9.1 Oddly enough, I also do not have anything under Humpback, avatar, and sail configs. -
A small question, I've finally had some time to sit down and play with this one... Is there any way to transfer the kits from an assembly line to a workshop? I've put two craft down, a mobile workshop, and an assembly line with a drill and refinery on it. I can make the assembly line build a DIY kit, and I moved the box away so it has room to deploy. But the workshop can't construct it because it has no kits, and the kits are built from the assembly line... I can't find a way to transfer resources or link the two together.

Is there any way to modify the parts config so that they can operate closer to a planet/'s atmosphere? -
Hey, guess who didn't know the change log section on spacedock existed? Me! Guess who has this mod working in 1.8.1? Me! Thanks for your help everyone

Starting the game gives the message of ZeroMiniAVC started, then destroyed. The error in the game is the same. However the log no longer shows AVC errors, but rather one with the ground construction parts when I attempt to add a vessel to one of the boxes (adding parts, and sub assemblies pulls up the window to select the item as expected) Uploading Crash Report TypeLoadException: Could not resolve type with token 01000186 (from typeref, class/assembly SelectConfigNodeCallback, ) at GroundConstruction.DeployableKitContainer.SelectVessel () [0x00000] in <153e62ae099745349276ac22b21d61e0>:0 at BaseEvent.Invoke () [0x00023] in <9d71e4043e394d78a6cf9193ad011698>:0 at UIPartActionButton.OnClick () [0x000ef] in <9d71e4043e394d78a6cf9193ad011698>:0 at UnityEngine.Events.InvokableCall.Invoke () [0x00011] in <5aeafee3fea24f37abd1315553f2cfa6>:0 at UnityEngine.Events.UnityEvent.Invoke () [0x00023] in <5aeafee3fea24f37abd1315553f2cfa6>:0 at UnityEngine.UI.Button.Press () [0x0001c] in <22fd67f59718453e9250a6de1843ef8b>:0 at UnityEngine.UI.Button.OnPointerClick (UnityEngine.EventSystems.PointerEventData eventData) [0x00009] in <22fd67f59718453e9250a6de1843ef8b>:0 at UnityEngine.EventSystems.ExecuteEvents.Execute (UnityEngine.EventSystems.IPointerClickHandler handler, UnityEngine.EventSystems.BaseEventData eventData) [0x00007] in <22fd67f59718453e9250a6de1843ef8b>:0 at UnityEngine.EventSystems.ExecuteEvents.Execute[T] (UnityEngine.GameObject target, UnityEngine.EventSystems.BaseEventData eventData, UnityEngine.EventSystems.ExecuteEvents+EventFunction`1[T1] functor) [0x00063] in <22fd67f59718453e9250a6de1843ef8b>:0 UnityEngine.DebugLogHandler:Internal_LogException(Exception, Object) UnityEngine.DebugLogHandler:LogException(Exception, Object) ModuleManager.UnityLogHandle.InterceptLogHandler:LogException(Exception, Object) UnityEngine.Logger:LogException(Exception, Object) UnityEngine.Debug:LogException(Exception) UnityEngine.EventSystems.ExecuteEvents:Execute(GameObject, BaseEventData, EventFunction`1) UnityEngine.EventSystems.StandaloneInputModule:ReleaseMouse(PointerEventData, GameObject) UnityEngine.EventSystems.StandaloneInputModule:ProcessMousePress(MouseButtonEventData) UnityEngine.EventSystems.StandaloneInputModule:ProcessMouseEvent(Int32) UnityEngine.EventSystems.StandaloneInputModule:ProcessMouseEvent() UnityEngine.EventSystems.StandaloneInputModule:Process() UnityEngine.EventSystems.EventSystem:Update() (Filename: <153e62ae099745349276ac22b21d61e0> Line: 0) Setting up 8 worker threads for Enlighten. relating to the plugin. I did just overwrite the community resource pack with what is on spacedock, and the issue does persist. And, to state it again, this happens if I use vanilla 1.8.1 with this mod files (only this one) from spacedock. I'm really not sure what might be the issue, other than the version of the game.. Is this supposed to work at ALL with 1.8.1? If not.. Well I'm sorry for wasting time troubleshooting this

The jist of the errors read below. This is listed before and after I enter the editor (Filename: C:\buildslave\unity\build\Runtime/Export/Debug/Debug.bindings.h Line: 35) MiniAVC -> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object at MiniAVC.AddonInfo.get_IsKspExcludedVersion () [0x00000] in <6aac9d7be03747a7a69aa6bd7ae9b307>:0 at MiniAVC.IssueGui.DrawNotCompatible () [0x00030] in <6aac9d7be03747a7a69aa6bd7ae9b307>:0 at MiniAVC.IssueGui.Window (System.Int32 id) [0x00006] in <6aac9d7be03747a7a69aa6bd7ae9b307>:0 Here is a bigger excerpt from the log, mostly after I enter the vab https://pastebin.com/X8GYkmdt edit I've gone ahead and delete every mod except for this one, and the same thing happens. I'm using 2.6.4.1 of the mod on 1.8.1... I think this may be the problem. What version of this will work on 1.8.1?

KSP Interstellar Extended Support Thread
wkwied replied to FreeThinker's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
Unless you chose to limit yourself to never reclaiming vehicles, then there is no good way to go about that. Land your warp rocket at KSP and reclaim it. You still recover it, and if you are playing career, if you land right at the space center you recoup most of your costs.. Realistically, you can't make a multi use rocket (SSTO or not) without reclaiming it and doing maintenance on it. Even the space shuttle has to be brought back into the hanger to be refurbished and have the payload reloaded... -

wkwied replied to FreeThinker's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
You can always make a reusable launch vehicle with a warp drive (assuming that you have it). It is really simplistic to make a SSTO with a warp drive and let it be reusable. Can put even a tiny payload into orbit virtually anywhere for almost no dV costs -

Two questions I have for you. - If you just stay in atmosphere, at/around 10km, do you still lose output? - If you cheat into orbit and then do a long burn, do you still lose output? -
I simply will not use the Orion mod (if that is the one I am thinking of), because it is so, so incredibly over powered. I've been trying to use the Interstellar Extended mod to build a nice, easy to control, SSTA with or without warp. For sure I can get there, it is just I've spent the fast majority of my time building funny ships that don't work... or can't land and take off :|

I'm not that good at building rockets. But I really, really want to do a grand tour of the planets in this mod (even if takes me 20 minutes to load it!) So I would kindly ask, does anyone have some craft files they can share they have the ability to do a grand tour, or close to a grand tour, to the planets in this pack? Ideally, using the KSPIE mod. Many thanks

KSP Interstellar Extended Support Thread
wkwied replied to FreeThinker's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
More or less, all the fuel and cargo tanks added by KSPIE allow you to change what is in them by clicking the context menu in the VAB. Some tanks also let you change what is in them while in flight, via the alt menu, as long as the tank is mostly empty. This is done via the interstellar fuel switch which should be included with KSPIE -

Is there anything additional needed that adds the OPT parts in their own category? I have KSPIE, B9 wings, and Kerbal Attachment System, and they all have their own category, but OPT does not. This makes locating parts difficult unless I look in the 'all _' section, or search for OPT. -
