Game seems slower than usual

I removed a bunch of old files off my drive but I also learned about framerate limit and disabling v-sync and that helped too. Thanks for your help? -
For the last few months, I've been playing the game with 100+ mods just fine with minimal lagging. I got back into playing it again after a long break and noticed it takes a lot longer to load, open saves, etc. I know the obvious answer would be to remove a bunch of the mods I'm using but it just seems strange that this is happening all of a sudden.

I'm having an issue where the Saturn Launch Base doesn't decouple after staging it, the same for the access arms. I've also noticed that the arms don't have the disable/enable staging option.

I'm in 1.11.2 and have the Persistent Rotation mod, which does affect some of the physics. Here's a pic with CoM and CoT with thrust turned down to 0 for all engines. Not sure if it's supposed to be like this, though. -

In your design, are the RCS blocks supposed to make your design go straight up? When I do it it makes the engines up front go up but leaves the buggy on the ground. -

@ColdJ So I put in the configs and recreated your pod racer, but I can't get it to hover without it falling back to the ground. -
