Sorry to be that guy but I wanted to let you guys know that there is a small visual glitch at 0:17 that shows up for a few frames. I don't know what it is or if it could even be a problem but I wanted to just let you know. Sorry for bothering you if it isn't a big deal.

I'm speechless. That looks amazing. I now will have a reason to visit Pol! Also I really hope the other planets have visuals as amazing as this! Also this post was just in time for my birthday! Thanks KSP2 team! They like us better!

Developer Insights #9 – Orbit Tessellation
Kerminator K-100 replied to Intercept Games's topic in Dev Diaries
Extra excited for KSP2 launch! @Johannes this exactly the type of dev diary I like to see! Can the programming team do more of these? This one was super interesting to me and I would love to see more of the technical challenges that KSP2 faces. I may be biased but I definitely think mechanics beat visuals in video game development (after all I play ksp!). These types of posts show me that the team cares and isn't just trying to wow me with cool terrain, clouds, and big colony parts. I also thought it was interesting that when you look away from the orbit, it changes the detail. I understand about stuff like ambient occlusion and the need for frames but its still really weird to see it in action, and to know that when you aren't looking things change and disappear. Its kind of the man behind the curtain of video games. Also it can freak you out if you aren't careful. What if nothing exists until I look at it! Anyway great post! Thanks for the update! -

After reading this mission thread by @purpleivan, I decided to mess around with some underwater stuff too. First on my to-do list, visit the bottom of Kerbin's ocean. Introducing the submarine-lander! (you can download it here) I wanted to explore the arctic, specifically that lake in the top middle of the picture. So I cheated the craft over and got dropping Going down Jeb noticed that the coastline here is a little square looking Further down. Bob is wondering whether that leak is a bad thing Almost. Bob has noticed another leak. You can see the ground in this picture. Bob, stop finding leaks! And touchdown. In this picture it kind of looks like I'm on a moon Thanks I'll keep that in mind Jeb got out to plant a flag... ... but apparently doesn't want to hang around. Here's were the lander ended up You can also almost see it in this picture Or maybe because there is a bunch of water? There it is, about 1100 meters deep Also if you move the camera to just the right place while on the surface, Jeb starts falling into a black hole. And there you go! To the bottom of the ocean. Next up will (probably) be a sub or boat mission or visiting Laythe or Eve with this craft.
