  1. Well, using the Liebherr HS 8300 as an example, and saying that 1 potato weighs 200 grams, the Liebherr HS 8300 could lift, maybe, 1,500,00 potatoes? If you think that's impressive, think about how many potatoes this crane could lift. The Liebherr LR 13000, the world's largest conventional crawler crane, with a 3,000 metric ton maximum capacity. I think, not including the weight of the container all the potatoes are in, it could lift 1,500,000,000 potatoes, if I did the math right. Or THIS crane... That's a lot of potatoes. How did we get to talking about potatoes? This thread really is for random stuff. By the way, has anyone here seen the TV show Futurama?
  2. @SpaceX_Boi You mean your desk? Oder dein Schreibtisch? ¿O tu escritorio? Ou votre bureau? 或你的桌子?
  3. Here's some duty cycle crawler cranes for you. Duty cycle crawler cranes are normally smaller than regular crawler cranes, have lower capacities, and are meant for being used for dredging operations, draglines, material handling and, of course, lifting. Pretty random, huh?
  4. Nein! (German for "Nope" - Actually, it just means no) @Lisiasmaybe?
  5. 5/10 Not bad, but it could have a little more to it.
  6. @peridoot that's what I guessed! I didn't want to accidentally violate any of the forum's regulations or guidelines, and I like humor, so I said "Don't give a kerb" instead of "something else"
  7. Attempted to make a container ship and, of course, I need to start building gantry and ship-to-shore container cranes to put containers on and off of the ship and onto trucks or other ships. I could maybe start a Kerbal shipping port! Also, check this out : This too : https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCJ1dklX9uq0hajnbNxBW7sA/videos
  8. This poll is for crane lovers and construction enthusiasts who want to say what their favorite brand of cranes is. My favorite brand is Liebherr, and that is evident if you look at the other stuff I post on this forum.
  9. For once, the song stuck in my head is my favorite, so I want it to stay stuck there! I have no idea what the name of this song actually is, but it is my favorite and has been for a while. Also, the Futurama theme song has been stuck in my head too.
  10. Hmm, is it bending, or just flat out falling over while remaining rigid as a whole? If it is bending before falling, then you just might need to use autostrut on some of the parts. If it is just falling over, then it could be a weight distribution issue, or much more likely, something else I don't know about. Sorry if this is no help at all, but check if this works (Unless you already used autostrut or normal struts.)
  11. Who here can make an all terrain mobile crane in KSP that looks as close to the real crane as possible? (Actually, I would prefer all-terrain mobile cranes, but any crane from tower cranes to crawler cranes to ring cranes would be fine, as long as they look close to the real thing. EDIT TO CHALLENGE RULES: Participants can either attempt to make the most realistic looking crane, or a crane with the highest lifting capacity, even if it is not aesthetically realistic. Here is the challenge badge or whatever you want to call it. If you want to participate, add it to your signature! I recommend scaling it down to about 256x160. Here are mine, including the Kiebherr KTM 1120-4.3, Kiebherr KTM 1030-2.1, Kiebherr KTM 1300-6.2, and Kiebherr KTC 1050-3.1. Sorry there are so many pictures, but I use Kerbal Space Program more like Kerbal Crane Simulator. As Hans Kiebherr always said, "Why go to space when you can lift the stars themselves?" Check out my YouTube Channel for videos of some of the cranes shown here.
  12. Ok, thanks! I thought it would work, but I just wasn't sure how KSP would work with one. Now all I need to do is actually get a yoke!
  13. No, you're not the only one. I don't know if anyone will see this because this thread is over 5 years old, but I really want to fly and/or build a planet express ship in KSP. I could try to build one myself though, I'm pretty good at making replicas of stuff. I have KAS, both DLCs, and tweakscale.
  14. And April 1st is Hans Liebherr's birthday! Today would be Hans Liebherr's 106th birthday. Learn more at https://www.liebherr.com/en/usa/about-liebherr/company-profile/portrait-of-the-company-founder/
  15. Although it's not really technical support, I want to know if a yoke that you hook up to a computer will work with KSP. I don't have one, but I am looking for one for Microsoft Flight Simulator X (FSX) and KSP (If it will actually work with KSP).
  16. I tried to make a new crawler crane: the Kiebherr KR 1800.1, a Kerbal version of the Liebherr LR 1800.1. I just noticed the KR 1800 is smaller than the LR 1800. It didn't end well..... I think something about the KarioTray (Kerbal version of Liehberr VarioTray crawler crane counterweight system) made it go BOOM! Fun fact: "LR" stands for "Liebherr Raupenkran". Raupenkran is German for crawler crane, and Liebherr is a German company. Liebherr - LR 1800-1.0: Strong like bull! - YouTube
  17. "Space. It seems to go on forever. But then you get to the end and a gorilla starts throwing barrels at you" - Philip J. Fry "Why go to space when you can lift the stars themselves?" - Hans Kiebherr "With dogged determination it is also possible to achieve what appear to be almost unattainable targets." - Hans Liebherr "Let's buzz the tower!" - Jedediah Kerman The Hans Liebherr quote is an actual quote, while the others are either from animated TV show characters or famous Kerbals.
  18. In this order, here are the flags I have made. Kiebherr flag (Kerbal version of Liebherr), the Katerpillar flag (Kerbal version of Caterpillar construction equipment logo), the KerbalKran industries flag (A 100% Kerbal company-It is pronounced "Kerb-ull- kron" [Kran is German for crane]), the US and German flags (I obviously didn't make them, but I did make them into KSP flags), and the KASA logo (I use it, but I Didn't make this on my own. I can't remember who did or where I got it, but it's here) As a bonus, I also included 3 other flags- 2 basic color flags : Blue and red, and the regular Liebherr flag.
  19. post any flags you have made yourself here, or any some one else has made (As long as you mention them, or at least say that somebody else besides you made it, if you can't exactly remember who. Below, you will find my flags. They include the: Kiebherr flag (Kerbal version of Liebherr), the Katerpillar flag (Kerbal version of Caterpillar construction equipment), the KerbalKran industries flag (A 100% Kerbal company-It is pronounced "Kerb-al- kron" [Kran is German for crane]), the US and German flags (I obviously didn't make them, but I did make them into KSP flags), and the KASA logo (I use it, but I Didn't make this on my own. I can't remember who did or where I got it, but it's here) As a bonus, I also included 3 other flags- 2 basic color flags : Blue and red, and the plain old, human Liebherr flag.
  20. What's green, screaming, and goes 1000 meters per second? A Kerbal reentering the atmosphere without a parachute! WARNING: CRANE JOKE INCOMING:
  21. IT WORKED!!!!!!! Thank you so much, Lisias! Kerbal foundries is working now! Below you will see the first thing I built with Kerbal foundries, a Kiebherr K 924 crawler excavator. Really, I just took a small wheeled excavator I made and put tracks on it, but I will make a bigger one-Maybe a Kiebherr K 956 (Liebherr R 956). I will make a video of the K 924 and put it on my YouTube channel. By the way, thanks for visiting my YouTube channel.
