KSP 2 Multiplayer Discussion Thread
PlutoISaPlanet replied to Johnster_Space_Program's topic in Prelaunch KSP2 Discussion
So I said before I think we have solved ksp 2's multiplayer. The thread is called Forza Horizon 4 and how its multiplayer can fix the ksp 2 multiplayer problems (it is such a long name that it probably is called something different lol). Anyways I reccomend checking it out because it appears we have one of if not the best solutions to all the "problems" with KSP 2 and multiplayer. Of course, the discussion is open and I want to know what everyone thinks. @Nate Simpson maybe we can get a opinion...- 1,629 replies

I think you are actually pretty right. I just talked about rewind because it is in Forza, and could be switched out for time warp in ksp. But yeah, I do not understand why everyone was so confused with how to deal with the timelines. I think we may have cracked the code! I think the proposed system is the most realistic and practical system that would allow the game to be multiplayer and solve the issues with time warp.

ALL ABOARD! -
If you ever played Horizon 4, you may understand what I am getting at. For those of you who do not, I will explain how multiplayer works in the game and then correlate it to KSP 2. Horizon takes place on a decently sized map, as you play you have the option to play completely multiplayer, or ignore it exist. When you start a race you can start with a party, do a random multiplayer race, start a event that will appear on maps, or play against cpu. When you are not racing, other players appear as "ghost". You cannot crash into these players, but can invite them and squad up making your game into a co-op experience. Some events will also have all players in a zone working together. Now the most important part of all of this to me is the time travel in Forza. If you make a mistake you can rewind to avoid that mistake. If you do it in a multiplayer race, it splits you into your own timeline and im pretty sure you get a penalty online (do not quote me on this). If you do this in the map, you do not get your own timeline, it just effects you. Okay, okay, that was a lot. But I believe that this system of multiplayer could be what we see in KSP 2. I will relate it to KSP 2 in another post, until then tell me what you think and if you can see what I see before I explain it.

How to you think colonys will be built?
PlutoISaPlanet replied to Sky Kerman's topic in Prelaunch KSP2 Discussion
I think you may be right. -
Same, I think as DLC it would be good. With new parts and stuff.

Music reminds me of some of Sarah Schachter's music in Assasins Creed Origins. Very atmospheric, the syth disstorter makes it unsettling, alien. You hear familiar violin, even voices but it is distorted which makes it feel more alien. What I am trying to say is that this soundtrack looks to be coming along. As much as I love the three songs in the original KSP, we need more variety especially considering the scope of KSP 2. Really, really hyped to hear some more of this ear candy!

KSP 2 Multiplayer Discussion Thread
PlutoISaPlanet replied to Johnster_Space_Program's topic in Prelaunch KSP2 Discussion
I agree that a lot of people are overthinking a proposed multiplayer. Last night I had a erica moment and I think I solved Ksp2 multiplayer! I cant post it now because I am busy but I think I have a good solution that is simple.- 1,629 replies

KSP 2 Should be Made for Consoles ASAP

Yeah, ksp 2 on x box 1 and ps4 will most likely be fascinating to put it lightly. -

So I know this thread died down but I do want to ask everyone how you think KSP 2 will differ on all platforms? Maybe some techy forum users can give some insight. -

I actually made a thread about asteroid/comet colonies a while ago. While I think it will be possible I think that this will be limited. For example, to sustain colonies you need to send missions to it (if you do it once the game does it for you). But if you leave the system on the asteroid/comet then you cannot send another mission because it has a different orbit. Sustaining a colony on a asteroid/comet is possoble, but if it leaves the system then we start to have problems.
-
Not sure but I do want to note that colonys can be made in orbit, so they will probably have different parts then land colonys (or at least space variations).
-
Thats just a theory, a game theory!

I do not know if anyone else has realy talled about the easter eggs they want to return or to be made in KSP 2?
-
So can we see everybody's favorite easter egg in its ksp2 glory. Or will it be included in the game?
-
A demo would be good, not to attract new player but just to test the game. I would want something extremely limited. Very basic parts or even a preset ship and you can only go to the mun. Or even just a misssion like landing on the mune and returning to kerbin.

I know I just did not realize they were working together in this capacity.

I just realized Squad helped you guys out, thats pretty cool and interesting...
