Solution to the minmus paradox
Nazalassa replied to Newgame space program's topic in Prelaunch KSP2 Discussion
The Minmus Ice Cream is magnetive. Minmus too. So Minmus attracts its own Ice Cream gas. -
Solution to the minmus paradox
Nazalassa replied to Newgame space program's topic in Prelaunch KSP2 Discussion
And she upgraded to netherite then? (Nooo, from the color it would be a mix of diamonds and emeralds...) But I still prefer ice cream. Because when in sunlight the ice can melt, but on the "night side" of Minmus the melted ice becomes ice again. -
System requirements: NASA computer for graphics and another one for physics.

Cool! Imagine the skybox just being a fuzzy dark blue mess. One less thing to worry about for devs!

I'll try to build a monorail in KSP1 in a few months, what is the part with the best length/width ratio?

What will you do for your first ksp2 mission
Nazalassa replied to SSTO Crasher's topic in Prelaunch KSP2 Discussion
Testing all the glitches if my early-2008 computer doesn't crashes (can't even start KSP because of graphic card driver) -
I tried to simulate a 2-planet-system on my calculator once. Yes, on my calculator. Worked perfectly. I then tried to simulate Risk and Rusk, explain me why the pair is slowly drifting leftwards on my screen? I noticed a bug, patched it, and relaunched the simulation. So I had 2 bodies orbiting each other. I thought it was stable until they collided and disappeared from the screen. Conclusion? Such a system won't work because of drag, even minimal, due to the void not being completely empty. Or, because of technical limitations. Since there's no drag implementation on my simulator, I'll say that physical limitations would render the whole thing unstable if the celestial bodies' orbits were not burnt into memory.

April Fool's - KSP 2 Update: Dres
Nazalassa replied to StarSlay3r's topic in Prelaunch KSP2 Discussion
That's awful! I'm not gona play KSP2 because of this horrible decision. Dres is our friend, let's protect it! (third page.) -
Let's go for archipelagos. How many archipelagos do we need? (I think four or five archipelagos of more than 5 islands, one of them hosting the Negative Capital, and a lot of lone islands to fill the sea in-between.) -10 Only -27 to go to reach our previous record!

Underwater features

With complex networks of underwater caves! -
Exoplanet ideas:
Nazalassa replied to Pthigrivi's topic in Prelaunch KSP2 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Aequarillysiuneiany A planet with a complex procedral network of tunnels, 2 to 6 meters wide, covering the whole planet. The only problem is "time-warp vertical teleportation" (as when you plant a flag in the control tower of the Island Runway and it ets teleported to the roof). -
Strange.

Crazy celestial body ideas
Nazalassa replied to Vl3d's topic in Prelaunch KSP2 Suggestions & Development Discussion
What I'd really like to be is a ploughshare. I don't know what that is, but it sounds like an existence with some point to it. -- The colour of Magic, page 114 Set a dozen of points all around the planet with a rotation assigned to each (clockwise/counter-clockwise). Then, to determine the strength and direction of the wind where you are, for each "rotating point", take its "speed parameter" (a number that is +/- depending on whether it's clockwise/counter-clockwise) and divide it by the square of its distance on the surface to your position. Then take the average of the 12 values calculated (one for each rotation point). -
Animations of a rocket/plane being tranported from the VAB/SPH to the launchpad/runway (building's big door opens and the craft gets out, with a crawler or its wheels) Use neshes. Nesh is short for "negative-mesh": each planet has its nesh list, and when rendering terrain the neshed erase the meshes overlapping them.
