    Thanks! I'm having particular trouble with landing right now. I'm having a difficult time getting the AOA right and keeping my airspeed up. On my worst attempts I smack into the ocean ahead of the airstrip, and on my best attempts I land extremely roughly on the runway in a way that would probably render the aircraft unflyable IRL and smash into the fences at the end of the runway. Any tips? This is in the F/A-18C by the way. EDIT: Also, when I use the keybinds to set throttle to idle, they don't seem to do anything. And on my more successful attempts at landing (where I can actually set the aircraft down in one piece initially), pressing W to brake doesn't seem to work. Does it take time to kick in?

    That actually happened to me! I got notified for being tagged in an Honorable Mention in the November 2023 TOTM, but not for my Nomination in the December 2023 TOTM. But then I got tagged in Toaster's post, and I saw the notification. Kind of weird.

    Granted, but you have to pay for it. And there's a slight water stain on the airframe, so you have to spend a few more million to repair it. I wish I had an (wait for it) F/A-18E Super Hornet Block III, with two drop tanks on the wings, an IRST-integrated centerline drop tank, two AIM-120 AMRAAMs, a LITENING targeting pod, etc.

    For future reference, put your "throw" in a spoiler. Since it's the second throw of the round, it's not as important to put it in a spoiler, but next time make sure.

    I am actually trying to get into DCS! I got the F/A-18C module and I'm really digging it, but I'm still struggling a bit with learning the material. I kind of gave up on reading the manual since its so long and kind of hard to digest, but was that a mistake? I would like some tips. PS: I quoted you from the Feb. TOTM thread but posted this here because I felt like this didn't belong in the TOTM thread.

    Congrats to all the winners, including @Toaster355! One of my favorite mission reports. Also, I like the new profile picture, especially since it has an F/A-18 in it!
