  2. The Reditus missions continue as the space program prepares for the Astra program. Reditus 2 targeted the Mun's lowlands. to retrieve precious samples. Again, the proton rocket was used to launch the mission to space. The ascent and TMI burn was fully successful, and Reditus 2 arrived in the Mun's SOI. The landing and takeoff sequence was nominal, including performing a short hop to perform science experiments. Unlike Reditus 1, the re-entry was benign and the spacecraft splashed successfully in the Western sea.
  3. Hello!! I have just returned from my 5-week holiday and couldn't wait to get back to KSP. I launched a Minmus sample return in JNSQ for my career. The lander was slightly over-engineered, I could have made it without the final stage. The launch itself was a success, and the mission was flawless. The launch is on a proton rocket, as my arianes would have been small and the Saturns overkill. The proton's extra stage over the Titan III adds some flexibility. The second stage separates and ignites. The rocket is 25km high and travelling at 1000 m/s. The launch wasn't optimal because I started the pitchover to late. The third stage pushes the rocket into orbit. After engine shutdown, the fairing separates. The 3rd stage pushes the craft toward minmus, but the 4th stage is required for the completion of the burn. As the 4th stage separates after the de-orbit burn, the earth rises as direct comms are established prior to landing. The spacecraft touches down at the foot of a small hill and immediately starts science activities. The spacecraft lifts off the surface and heads for orbit. The final stage ignites and sets up a re-entry. Travelling at well over 5000 m/s, the spacecraft enters the atmosphere. Tensions rise as heat warnings are displayed all over the rocket before blackout. The spacecraft emerges from the flames, deploys its aeroshell and jettisons its heatshield parachutes open and slows it down to 2 m/s. Splashdown!!!!
  4. Hello, I have two questions. 1). How do you get the visible radiation belts as on the OP in the video? 2) Is BDB support planned? Most of the stuff works fine, except the experiments are glitchy (Some of them will not complete, others won't have completion time, some experiments need to be recovered through contracts but they don't have that option with kerbalism) I have already talked to the BDB thread and they directed me here. Any help would be much appreciated.
  5. Is Kerbalism support included/planned for this mod? I have a career save with kerbalism and BDB. However, the BDB contracts don't work with kerbalism - e.g., the leo docking contract specifies a 'micrometeorite scan' to be recovered, however the kerbalism science overhaul doesn't allow this data to be recovered, and the contract can't be completed. Any help would be much appreciated.
  6. I started a new career save with kerbalism and probes before crew. I have already landed on the mun and I am looking forward to some crewed contracts. After I get used to kerbalism I plan to start a new JNSQ career with kerbalism and all the other extra mods which are supposed to be really cool.
  7. Ha! I have a personalised business jet! Has 2x goliath engines and space for up to 112 people. Range is quite good, easily done a circumnavigation (My first one :D)With 6800 units of fuel it could easily do 4,000+km. Here is full documentation of Space Otter Airways Flight 1 to KSC, from KSC. Otter 001 requesting permission for takeoff, heading 090 turning to heading 270 at 6500m please. At 6500m in altitude mach 0.90. Sunset or sunrise? Island Airfield clearly visible! What a waste of fuel to get here - I could buy a cheap flight for 60 funds! KSC control, Otter 001 requesting landing at runway 09. Cleared for touchdown - wait your back!!??? Note the extra tailwheel added for takeoff safety Now, thats a neat jet!

Made an F-14 with full swing wings (Thanks to infernal robotics) Autostrutting everything bar the hinges makes the thing almost perfectly stable (even 12g turns) Also worked on an airliner, has plenty of seats (didn't count) and has a stunning range of 0ver 2700km (calculated at 3000-3500) Round Range-KSC direct now a simple flight!

Despite the MD-11 I built yesterday, I decided to redo it with some more realistic parts from neist air. Although I could not use the 3.1m parts because of a bug, the 3.75m parts with the 777 cockpit still looked good. Here are a few shots of it taking off from Dununda International airport.   10. I built a few aircraft from Cosmos Airways International, the main airline of Kerbin. First , a retro moment with a KD-11 from cosmos airways, circa 1979.   11. I think this issue has been reported on the E.V.E. thread before, but this seems to be caused by scatterer. Basically, the visor reflections from texture replacer don't show the scatterer textures, making the sky in the visor a dark, solid black and no water textures. Everything else (including the clouds) are visible.
  12. I recently downloaded a TUFX profile with motion blur effects. I tried to take a low altitude screenshot with trees, but the second I paused the game, the blur effect stopped. I s there a way to keep the blur effect even if the game is paused?
  13. Jebediah Kerman and his friends returned from a Minmus Base mission Then, Jeb took out his Biz-Jet and flew down to Kola Island, before flying back and crashing (no injuries, but the plane was a write-off)
  14. Now I have screenshots of my Minmus base. Launch. It wasn't that crazy, only a Saturn V with 4 SLS cores. Booster sep. Quite smooth, however even the mite boosters can't provide a clean sep. In orbit: TMI Reconfiguration. This was the hardest part taking more time than I'd care to admit, along with bumps and spinning. Note to myself-Never ever try docking with a dead ship again.   15. Hello, I am new to the forums and there seems to be an issue. I try to upload a screenshot to the forum, but nothing seems to work. The problem works like this: I upload my screenshot onto imgur or wherever, copy the link and paste it into the 'insert image from URL' box. When I press 'insert' the box goes red and shakes. What am I doing wrong? I have also tried other methods, like pasting the link directly into the post, but no image appears. I have even tried pasting an image from the internet directly as a test, but nothing happened. I have looked and looked, but can't seem to find anyone in the same predicament. Could someone please help?
  16. I launched my biggest base so far. In the end, It weighed in at 49t. The hardest part was reconfiguring the station, trying to dock to 50t behemoths together (While one was uncontrolled). In the end, the mission succeeded and landed on Minmus. I would love to have screenshots, but I can't seem to figure out how to do that-could someone please help me?
  17. Tried to launch a massive rocket to minmus. Eventually, it weighed in at just below seven kilotons! I will probably revert to multi-launching because I do not have the patience to deal with these gargantuan behemoths.

  20. In Stockalike Station Parts Expansion Redux, the large dome parts don't have a hatch on the bottom. Is it possible to include a hatch, this would make it much nicer to build bases and stations.

  22. Is TURD support planned? A while back, I saw these pictures and I wondered how TrackerAerospace did all these patterns. Are they conformal decals or some other mod?
