Was the spirit of EA Violated? Or not
NexusHelium replied to Fizzlebop Smith's topic in KSP2 Discussion
I think the idea of it was much different to most early access but a LOT of fundamental concepts were the same. I would say it was closer to a true early access game than most people will think or say, but I think it wasn't executed the best on either side, from both the developers and the community. Everyone made their mistakes, and everyone started to get better before.... the news, but I won't go into that here (and neither should anybody else ). There's at least 10 different topics on THAT matter lol. -
I thought about doing one to the "Road to Hell (reprise)" from the musical Hadestown but, as always, Ima wait for some sort of confirmation first.

Hey guys, in case you didn't know. From what I understand, there are three more layoffs I are aware of and they are, as far as I can see: Dakota, Mike, and Gwen. If any of you see this, I'm so sorry and I hope you find another amazing team to work with. It's been a fantastic journey with you guys on the road and all of you at Intercept made KSP 2 that much better. I'm so sorry about this fate. You guys were honestly some of my favorite devs. Seriously. It's been real o7

You keep telling the same argument and none of it is good or remotely convincing to me. I'm sorry man, but I'm just not listening to you.

I have never seen a more Kerbal post than this one lol

Well they made that 1 minute 30 seconds when the news broke because everyone was going crazy but that was a nightmare. So long to have to wait to post the kerbal klueless face. -

[ Snip] Being right is not always a good thing. If I know nothing else about this game, it's that in this situation it most definitely is not good to be right about it failing. And not to mention that you are accomplishing nothing with this. There is no moment to enjoy. There is no person to convince. And there is certainly no reason to try and make people feel crappy (even if the attempts are failing) The situation is bad. There is nothing to boast.

NexusHelium replied to moeggz's topic in KSP2 Discussion
Well. Pretty sure Dakota lives in Seattle soooooooo..... But more seriously. This is heartbreaking. Everyone at Intercept was so fantastic to us and I hate to see the team even remotely broken up. The team was great. The game's great. And everything else related to Intercept was great. This might sound a little cheesy or heartfelt but I'm genuine in my writing. It was an actually huge portion of my recent life to be along the ride of development. I don't know what's gonna happen and I don't know if even you guys at Intercept know to a full degree, but I'll continue to support you guys the whole way up until the end, whenever that may be. I've tried to remain the positive, upbeat and hopeful person but I do have to admit the concept of not knowing anything is terrifying. I'm not asking you guys to say anything, I'm just dumping my thoughts into this. I never thought the developers were scamming us. I never thought the game was bad. And I will never think any of those things no matter what anyone says. Even after the dust has cleared and the result is the worst we could have thought, I will continue to stand by Intercept games and all those years they brought a smile to my face. And finally @Dakota I saw the post and... I'm so sorry. I send hope and gratitude to you, and everyone else to what remains and beyond of, in my wildly controversial opinion, one of the best game studios of all time: Intercept Games -
Nothing anyone says is right or wrong. The "facts" to face are that we simply don't know what's going to happen. I am however not saying that nothing bad will happen. The situation is TERRIBLE, and it is a fair, and even likely chance that something terrible has happened to the game (whether that be severe delays or just outright development stops), but I choose to look at the more positive outcomes. Unlike a lot of people part of the community, I accept that there is more than one outcome for the scenario, good and bad (I feel like a lot of people think there is only one negative outcome but, put simply, that's just not how the universe works) and I choose to focus on the ones that give me more hope. It's a lot easier to be a "realist" as said by a lot of people and feel defeated about the situation. But it sure as heck feels a lot better to be hopeful and continue to support whatever may come this way.

Wait. I want money for keeping an eye on people being angry. can you send me one?
-
What exactly are you trying to accomplish here. I'm just confused at this point.
-
Not yet you aren't. You can boast all you want when we get some kind of word from the sides, but until then, I wouldn't go around saying that with a total 100% certainty. But back to the topic. If development does cease. I'm really hoping to see those clouds before it stops. I don't think it will altogether but IF it does... you gotta have priorities
