Behind the scenes? Yes Tutorial? Eh.... I don't know if they (or I ) would like someone completely copying their work. But I would love to see the behind the scenes project of the work put into it because man was there a lot of it- 12 replies

We don't need a better metaphor because that's exactly what IG is going to do -
I watched @ShadowZone's new video today. And not only was it a very interesting watch, but when he said: "And, yes, I can already hear you typing those comments. Something along the lines of 'copium' 'hopium'... ... 'shmopium" That hit a little close to home lol.

NexusHelium replied to moeggz's topic in KSP2 Discussion
This is not the thread for that. If you really want you can go to any of the other 7 (8? ((9??)) if you want a bunch of various answers on that matter. But to sum it up: we don't know -
Aren't we all

CPOTM may 2024 "Frontiers Await" A KSP 3D Blender Animated Film
NexusHelium replied to Ariel Kerman's topic in KSP Fan Works
Yeah. I'm pretty good with textures and more 2d things but sculpting and the animating has always been my Achilles's heel. That's what's been keeping me away but we'll see how I do later lol- 12 replies

You joke but that kinda is how you make a really strong foundation for an extremely successful game. Especially the code part. If your code takes all responses and can be easily manipulated then yes, you got yourself some good ol' fashioned success
-
I would argue that it has been successfully developed (improved and all that stuff) I don't see how you make something that essentially breaks all the rules of game development from scratch in less than a decade.
-
wait... wha... really?! The planets from orbit are one of the main reasons I prefer the game to the original (including the Mun) Could you elaborate on what you mean possibly so I can see where your coming from?

Make sure you don't forget the positive moments though. I am my hopeful self solely for that reason. Sure the game has it's issues and sure it hasn't been great the whole time but Laythe? The atmospheres? The clouds ()? The UI? The music? They're all so good (UI could use a little tuning but overall, it's a lot better than the first)! The list goes on, but I digress. A lot of "realists" (which, you gotta admit, the definition of that word needs to be reworked) look at the negatives of the game and say something like "It'll never get better with all the mistakes they've made so far." but I simply turn my head the other direction to see the overwhelming number of positives that the game has and say the opposite. Something like "Wow. This game has it's problems but look at all these things that keep getting better! I'm sure the future will turn out." Some people say that behavior is naive or delusional or "not looking at the facts" but I will say yet again (very controversially) that I am simply just looking at the exact same facts and choosing to look at them in a more hopeful way, because none of the facts that we are presented necessarily give us rational reason to think the game will never turn out or it is a disaster or even that the game is good and will turn out. There is no "realistic" in this scenario, and the future is notoriously unpredictable. And not to mention that they and we as a community were getting better before the news hit and now things are back in shambles lol. Overall, if you choose to look at the negatives constantly then the game will seem like a disaster. But if you look behind you and see all the good the game has brought and the amazing people behind it then you'll start to notice that this game maybe isn't as bad as you thought it was. hoo boy was that too many words -
I would Intercept games has (had?) a fantastic dev team. No question about that. They are not incompetent. They were dedicated to the game. They were making good work on it (and hopefully still are), and they were overall just great people (can't say that for the people I haven't seen but I'm assuming)

That should've stayed in the 1.0 release

Was the spirit of EA Violated? Or not
NexusHelium replied to Fizzlebop Smith's topic in KSP2 Discussion
I think the idea of it was much different to most early access but a LOT of fundamental concepts were the same. I would say it was closer to a true early access game than most people will think or say, but I think it wasn't executed the best on either side, from both the developers and the community. Everyone made their mistakes, and everyone started to get better before.... the news, but I won't go into that here (and neither should anybody else ). There's at least 10 different topics on THAT matter lol. -
I thought about doing one to the "Road to Hell (reprise)" from the musical Hadestown but, as always, Ima wait for some sort of confirmation first.
