TBH i agree. I use the contact packs mods as they're a little better, but yeah, stock is pretty abysmal. Sandbox is good, but I usually use Science with a cheated tree, so I can actually view the experiments after I've done them

What about Near Future Rovers? -
saw the craft, the wings make me a bit iffy but it should be fine unless you're going ballistic. maybe try pointing radial into duna, flat side pointing prograde, should increase drag if you need it

what does the craft look like also - can you do plot a retro maneuver at periapsis until the dotted line is straight into duna? should give a rough estimate of speed, that would also be useful

While waiting for the forums to come back up, I looked into the Orange Circle, apparently featured on KerbalMaps at (-4.4604, -72.7075). While the circle as described doesn't exist, turns out it sort of does, as the terrain colouring gives a very faint set of circles around the co-ords. Almost certainly a coincidence though. Saturation enhanced - on the top it's just nw of the navball.
