  1. Good show sir! I'd like to see that craft file!
  2. Got back into kerbalx. Now you can try my thud-based monstrosity for yourselves. https://kerbalx.com/Corona688/89H-Refuge
  3. lol no. The game has grown so much since then, it's not even viable on 32-bit anymore.
  4. I hand-edited a big table combining the wiki table and the DLC engines for my personal spreadsheet calculator monstrosity. If you want it, http://burningsmell.org/images/ksp/ksp6.xls look in the 'engines' tab. Note: It only includes solids and liquid-fuel engines, not freaky things like jets, NERV, or ion. Also, your icon, LOL.
  5. I didn't realize they improved the twitch. I've been so mad about losing the spark (yes, still) ... but the improvements to the twitch are niiice.
  6. imgur is the only image host that's been reliable since 2011... I hope it sticks around
  7. Go go disgusting thud-based contraption! Cheap and cheerful early-game mission to Eve, to either set up an orbiting relay network or, at worst, a world's first and a cloud of short-lived debris. It's gonna get there with 1000m/s delta-v, so I think it's possible it could survive.
  8. You don't even have to. DV is quite literally a stock feature now.
  9. Snacks and ... I think that's it. I keep meaning to install Kerbal Alarm Clock but haven't needed it yet.
  10. Once again, please explain what you are trying to do by flying around unattended stuff inside atmosphere. Understanding your goals is one step closer to helping you.
  11. You sound like my dad, who's been saving files straight to a:\ since 1981. In the 90's he grudgingly changed his habits to c:\foldername\. There's good reasons to not grant every single program on your computer the ability to modify every single file you possess. Even by accident, a lot can happen.
  12. You're not finding a good intercept for that because there isn't one. Going sideways like that either takes tremendous amounts of time - about what it took for your target to get there - or tremendous amounts of energy to force a straighter line.
  13. Suborbitally hopped through 6 different "in flight below 6000m" temperature readings on Minmus before landing the Mint Drop: Very low tech rolling rover with batteries, reaction wheels, thermometer, and 4 argh 3 argh 2 remaining solar panels.
  14. I forgot about that! It was very new at the time I found it. I'm not sure we even had orbital mapping yet, just launch and hope you hit the mun
  15. They fixed the image posting bug, so I can show you a tip. Once you're about 60 seconds from intercept, put the center of the navball, the retrograde marker, and the anti-target in a line like this: Then thrust forward very slowly. The thrust "pushes" the retrograde marker towards the anti-target - meaning, it slows you down and brings your intercept closer at the same time! Doing this can easily refine a 3km intercept into something scary-close. Watch out -- sometimes 0.0km also means 0.0m! It also moves the intercept further into the future, so if you've got lots of target velocity, nothing stops you from doing this more than once.
  16. Long shot, but are you actually controlling the rover or some loose part which happened to be very near? [ and ] keys to switch nearby things
  17. Always be paranoid when a contract pays suspiciously well :)
  18. If you mean stuff with parachutes, yeah, "Stage Recovery" is a good mod. If you want planes to fly themselves... You might need to explain the situation you're solving a bit better. Of course, if your plane has parachutes on it, that might still be recoverable by stage recovery! Maybe :)
  19. Surely there'd be a way to alt-F12 it off or disable it in the tweakables like everything else. KSP actually has a lot of features now which almost nobody sees for this reason...
  20. My usual thing once I get enough rocket power: burningsmell.org/images/ksp/screenshot7.png The forum is broken today and refuses to embed perfectly good images, and also broken today no longer supporting img tags. So you're probably not going to see any screenshots from me for the forseeable future.
  21. Are you serious? No. How would you play KSP on a one-button controller?
  22. That is not true at the time I have a problem. This is a multi stage rocket
