  1. I very much enjoy the process of rendezvous and docking ships together to create larger structures. All my stations are built out of modules which can be re-arranged.
  2. Nice work. (Also, moved to mission reports.)
  3. This is not a bad idea for a thread. In fact, that's why somebody already made one. Bearsh, why don't you take some screenshots of your stations and post them there?
  4. So I'm revising my re-useable interplanetary ship designs to take advantage of ARM parts. This is the new long-range version, the M111 Migration class, on the launchpad. (Note the Kerbal, for scale.) Now named KSS-13 Intrepid, I flew the ship to orbit, refueled it with a couple of robotanker flights, loaded it up with a test payload, and set out for Eeloo. Once in orbit, the ship deployed 4 science/mapping satellites, two automated rovers, and then the crewed lander. The lander then returned to the ship, and was left in orbit for future use (or would have been, except I forgot to install a probe core, so it's a ghost ship now), and Intrepid set out for Kerbin. After a couple of aerobraking passes, the ship settled into a parking orbit. But the mission wasn't over yet, because the most important step was last, and that was the return of the new M113 SPaRM, Science Processing and Recovery Module. Throughout the voyage, the science points generated by the instruments and lander had been collected and stored in the SPaRM. When it landed, all the science was recovered for a result of 3370.3 science points. Intrepid waits in orbit to be refueled and sent out once more.
  5. Hello Crook, and welcome. I have been playing for almost 2 years, and I'd still rather play KSP than any other games that are out right now.
  6. Every player is good at some aspects of the game and not so good at others.
  7. 2.2.b, guys. No "Discussions of a political, ideological or religious nature... "
  8. Is there a control part (crewed capsule or probe core) in the upper stage? If not, you're out of luck. If so, right-click on it to "control from here" before separation.
  9. Or, just download the included craft file.
  10. Moved to suggestions/discussions. Can't help with the others, WetJet, but you can change the size of the UI displays with a slider on the game's settings screens.
  11. As I say in my thread, it's to provide a Kerbal with a stable work platform while he's repairing/modifying a ship or station.
  12. As long as you're talking about a word for it and not about the thing itself... Credo
  13. Sometimes I play as virtuous characters and sometimes I play as villainous characters. That's why it's called "role playing."
  14. You asked for it: scooter. Who said it had to have a practical use?
  15. Presenting, by popular (well, 2 people, anyway) demand, the M110 Mobile Work Platform, from Yeahletstrythatdyne. The M110 comes with a launch vehicle which delivers 3 MWPs to just about anywhere in Kerbin space for use on asteroids or ships. Park the Kerbal where the job is, break out the tools (not included), and begin (imaginary) repair, scientific, or other work. To make the MWP easier to fly, remember to "control from here" the probe core on the back. The controls will then be oriented to the Kerbal pilot's point of view. (Kerbals not included.) (Thing to fly the MWPs around not included.) Craft file: OBSOLETE
  16. Wow, this thread is pretty thoroughly off the rails. If there are some of you who would like to post your craft, please choose one of the showcase threads in Ship Exchange, and let this poor thread rest in peace.
  17. Camaron, I moved your post for you. To add a prefix, click to edit the first post in the thread, and then "go advanced" in the editor. You'll see a little menu box for prefixes there.
  18. My walkthrough doesn't use maneuver nodes because it was written before they were invented.
  19. As I said on another thread, low thrust and long burns prevent SAS from being overwhelmed.
  20. Folks, some of you are getting pretty angry about this, and if the discussion here degenerates into name-calling, we'll have to close the thread. Please remember that your fellow forum members are not enemies.
  21. Better yet, let me test it a bit more and then I'll post the craft file.
  22. I'm sorry, guys, we believe you meant well, but discussions of religion on the internet never end well, which is why forum rule 2.2.b says, "Discussions of a political, ideological or religious nature" are off-limits for the forum. Closing the thread now.
  23. Hello scotts and welcome to the forum. Old to KSP, almost 2 years so far, and still very impressed with KSP and the community.
  24. I recently made an EVA scooter which Kerbals can claw to asteroids or ships.
