  1. These SLS parts are powerful! 90mT to orbit with a core stage and boosters. (The payload the everything above the decoupler.)
  2. The game is running much faster for me. Now, I can fly 200 part ships at 60 fps!
  3. Aweaome ! Please add a standalone KS-25!
  4. Wait, does the ---Updated--- appear automatically? Edit: I don't think it does.
  5. You can clip a small decoupler in between the two tanks for the same effect.
  6. Testing some hardware for SLS: ICPS: Testing Orion and ICPS on top of a S-IB Fairing test: In orbit: I think I might have to make the service module a bit wider. Orion: Hmm... it seems that Orion has a smaller engine bell than this. A quick prototype (the top part is a placeholder for SLS tanks) of a four RL-10 upper stage: More to come.
  7. The larger Sunshine lifters use a simple but effective trick to strengthen the radial connections on the tanks. All you have to do is attach trusses to the tank and then attach the other tank on the truss. http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/63050-0-23-MUNSHINE-LIFTERS-5-165-tons-to-orbit-including-low-tech-Career-Mode-versions%21
  8. SLS is pretty much Constellation, except with more realistic goals.
  9. I implied it on the second SLS picture. You can point it out if you want. SLS parts are OP anyways. How about 2.5 tons and 550kN? This would make the engine heavier than the clustered ones, as well as having about 70% of the thrust.
  10. Some of us (myself included) were rather disappointed to find out that the ARM pack would not include a standalone version of the RS-25, aka Space Shuttle Main Engine (the KS-25 ingame). The addition of this engine would open up a vast new world of possibilities, as its great gimbal range will allow for asymmetric rockets, a la stock Space Shuttles. The model of the engine bell already exists in the pack, albeit in the form of a welded cluster of four, and the rest of the engine shouldn't be too hard to model. Here is what I think the specs should be: Thrust: 550kN Mass: 2.2 tons ISP: 320s ASL, 360s vac Gimbal range: >5° Diameter: 1.25m Attachment points at the top and bottom It's basically a toned down version of the current one in the cluster, where thrust is traded off for gimbal range. ^Note the current engine arrangement of the SLS, which is square rather than rectangular. Please make this happen SQUAD!
  11. If it *does* happen to be released tomorrow I will be forever grateful... who doesn't like Fridays (read: KSP marathon days)? Let's make a thread about this!
  12. I think the original arrangement looked better tough. Please add a standalone KR-25!!!!!!!!
  13. And that is why we should have standalone KS-25's.
  14. Just click "go advanced" and add the prefix.
