  1. I decided to make a KSP channel today. This is its first video: Here is a picture of the entire rocket (minus the hullcam):
  2. Anyone want to try my new Soyuz 2.1b out? 211 parts Download: http://www./download/bwg11lc4q8r7bas/Soyuz+2-1b.craft Flight instructions in craft description.
  3. I think I should sit this one out. I'm not very good with big landers.
  4. They changed it in 0.20 when you can change the root part of your ship - essentially making debris behave like controlled craft. Since the engines would previously shut off for controlled craft, this would make fly-away debris non-functional. So, as a fix for that, they made all vessels with liquid engines to continue firing its engines after separation, regardless if it was a probe or not.
  5. The heaviest payload that I've ever bothered to put in orbit weighed 160 tons. I did it with a non-asparagus-staged rocket. It was basically a scaled up version of my 110 ton lifter:
  6. The Munshine X should be able to get about 108 tons to 75km orbit but you can use a small tug to bring it up higher. http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/49226-EXPANDED-Munshine-Launcher-Family-10-100-tons-to-orbit!
  7. http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/49226-EXPANDED-Munshine-Launcher-Family-10-100-tons-to-orbit! Just use the Munshine VII.
  8. The universal docking port was something that I was thinking of doing but I didn't because I thought it wouldn't work.
  9. GUYS. I just discovered something! I was working my my Mini Proton rocket and had a lot of trouble finding a suitable shroud to cover the third stage engine. It had to be light weight, low part count and look good. The solution... Ladders! This can be done by turning the long ladder until the the storage part is facing up and use it as a short shroud for rocket. It's physicless too, which is perfect for what I am building.
  10. The reason you got a slightly better result with the intakes open is that they produce less drag when they are open than when they are closed. (0 vs 0.3)
  11. I will treasure this copy-and-paste reply forever.
  12. Damnit. I was using this for a while now but I've never posted it on the forums.
  13. The thing about my plane is that it wasn't built for this challenge. In fact, I actually just slapped it together a month ago more as a "something-I-built-while-I-was-bored" plane. The two intakes in the back were only for aesthetic purposes and serve no function at high altitude (0 intake air).
  14. I don't know, but 103 parts seems a little bit too much for a newbie craft. For simplicity in replicating, Xeldrak's Draco is probably the best.
