  1. Water? Check. Vegetables? Hops. Fungi? Yeast. Grains? Barley. Beer is a soup.
  2. Probably one of those. If they're not gone by now, they'll probably be around for a while, unless someone decides to destroy them deliberately. And things newer than them tend to be considered more disposable. Edit: I'd really like to see a good argument for the expenditure of time, money, and effort to bulldoze the Great Pyramid of Giza...

  4. Since we've been using it to power trains since the 1930s/'40s (I seem to recall there was some cooperation between railroads and the US Navy submarine development during WWII), there has to be some advantage. Also, because of this forum: "As of 2003, each crawler had 16 traction motors, powered by four 1,000 kW (1,341 hp) generators, in turn driven by two 2,050 kW (2,750 hp) V16 ALCO 251C diesel engines."

  6. I'm sorry to hear that. I've been dealing with several health incidents with my mother the last few months, so I've been preparing for the worst, but I know I'm not ready for it. I can only imagine what you're going through right now.
  7. I went to a German restaurant once. The first thing I noticed on the menu was Polish sausage. The discussion went downhill from there, and would probably not go over well on the forum.
  8. Expect nothing beyond what was sold to you at the time you bought it. Anything further is a bonus. Thanks for another update that I didn't have to pay for!
  9. Or is simply level-headed enough to become a mod, instead of reactionary like a number of the community.
  10. Exactly. That's kind of my point. He wasn't interested enough to continue being involved. Yep. Their work matters. They don't.
  11. Or He had options, but didn't have options? Glad the he made the choice he didn't make, then. By the way, why don't we see Orville and Wilbur's opinions on the current Boeing situation? Why don't I see Robert Goddard's thoughts on SpaceX? Their ideas should matter, right?
  12. Gotta love the fact the community wants to hear what Nate has to say, while pointing out that everything he says is a lie and cannot be trusted.
  13. If Harvester wanted to be involved, perhaps he wouldn't have traded his involvement for cash and walked away?
  14. So, how many times do we have to do the autopsy before we conclude that this time isn't going to be the one to bring the patient back?
