[1.12.x] Kerbal Alarm Clock v3.13.0.0 (April 10)
razark replied to TriggerAu's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Running Windows, 1152x864, windowed, half-res, and fastest rendering. Edit: Changed it to full res, and that does fix it. -
How are we determining "played", anyway? In one sense, Kerbal is my "most played" game today. I've had it running for about 23 hours straight now. In another, it's not the "most played", as I've been playing other games, and haven't touched that computer in almost 23 hours.

"It was just a joke" is another way of saying "Stop looking down on me for acting like an ass". By bringing what seem to be obviously male characters into the game, while not providing any obviously female characters, some people feel that gender has already been brought into the game.
-
I imagine that I might feel differently if I was female. I honestly don't care, because this game has never really been about the characters, it's always the ships. The characters are just there as a little filler detail to me. I think the genderlessness may have been mentioned just to get people off their back so they can work on functional parts of the game. Note that they are still willing to entertain the idea, and didn't say "Shut up, it's not like it actually matters."
-
If I remember correctly, the official Dev position is that Kerbals are genderless. They may at some point change that, but they feel that there are other things to worry about now, and worrying about female Kerbals at this time has about as much merit as making sure your hood ornament is polished to a high shine before you've even decided if you're building a car or a boat. If they do add them later, they will add them. Begging for female Kerbals is going to get you as far as asking for multiplayer.
-
Are you really that hard up for some female attention?
-
KSP? Most played? Not a chance. Windows Solitaire? Now that's a time sink. Kerbal has no chance of catching up. Not to mention Freecell, and Civilization, and Tetris.

I figured that might have something to do with it. Curse my old computer! -
[1.12.x] Kerbal Alarm Clock v3.13.0.0 (April 10)

For some reason, the new version seems to have the fuzzy filter turned on. Previously: New version: The only difference between the two is the mod version. It's still useable, just not so nice on the eyes anymore. -
It was there in .19. It does save some time figuring out which way to point.
-
No problem. Just glad to see this is still getting updated. It's one of those small things that adds much to the game.
-
Woohoo! It's back! If only it had a download link... Edit: Found it on Spaceport http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/lsi-spacejunk-cargo-bay/
-
And the people cheered! My flights have been extremely too quiet lately. Amazing how a little thing that really doesn't have a use makes the game so much more alive.

Super Mario Bros. was released in 1985. You got started on retrogaming early. My first computer game was my dad saying "Here, sort these cards so I can load the program." The first computer we had in the house had to be soldered together from a kit.
-
My friend looked out the window one night at work and saw her car was gone. Later, she found it across the street. She still had the car at the end of the night, so it had never been stolen?
-
Spore? The first... Please tell me you mean the either the 1987 or the 1991 game called Spore.
-
Since about the same time they rolled back 17 versions to the .2 release.

"Combobulating Discombobulator" and "Treating Kessler Syndrome" both made me laugh. Shouldn't it be "Adding K to kEvery kWord"?

Anyone still travel to Mun ye olde fashioned way?
razark replied to katateochi's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I tend to use maneuver nodes. Not because it's easier, but because it's more convenient. I use the Alarm Clock mod, so I set up the node, set the alarm, and wander off for a while to do something else. When I get back, the game is paused and waiting for me to do my burn. -
We aren't? A. Redstone: Used to launch Mercury. Was a modified Short Range Ballistic Missile. B. Atlas: Used to launch Mercury. Was an ICBM. 3. Titan: Used to launch Gemini. Was an ICBM. D. Saturn I: Used to launch Apollo. First stage was a Medium Range Ballistic Missile, surrounded by 8 Redstones (See A). No budget constraints. No political bullcrap. No program getting cancelled halfway through. No ground testing. No paperwork. No research. No material failures. No bidding on contracts. No systems testing. No worries of integrating Part A by one contractor with Part B from another contractor, running with System C by an agency in another country, all controlled by software from yet another contractor. No worrying about getting parts on time. No worry on not having parts in stock. No worries about crew health. No worry about the crews' Garn levels. No worry that the oxygen tank might explode. No worrying that the radio won't let you talk between two buildings. No kerbals hanging lemons on the training simulator. No simulator for training. No training. No hatch blowing early. No torque meter to check that each screw is installed just right. No crew selection. No crew getting bumped for having measles. No pissing contest with the another country. No paperwork. I pronounce it "Kerbal".

[0.20] RemoteTech: Relay Network – V 0.5.0.1
razark replied to JDP's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I put my commsats on one launcher, get into orbit, and the raise my apoapsis to the target altitude. Once I get the Apoapsis in place , I release the first satellite, set a maneuver node, and circularize it. Next, I get the launch vehicle into an orbit that will meet up with the next location. Release the satellite, and wait to circularize the orbit. Wash, rinse repeat, for each satellite. Once I have all the satellites in place, I deorbit the launch vehicle and employ my secret technique. Hyperedit the orbits to all have the same period. Because, damn it, it takes too long to get the network in place, and I'll be damned if I'm going to babysit the thing. Hyperedit may be cheating, but I view it as ground control taking charge and making sure the network stays sane.
