  1. I've created a thread for anyone who is trying to combine SVE and KSPRC into a visual pack that combines features from both. If you want that information please discuss it in that thread and that thread only, make sure to keep it out of Proot and my threads
  2. I've created a thread for any further discussion on combining SVE and KSPRC. Let's make sure all that discussion goes into that thread from now on so this thread can stay on topic for Proot's amazing KSPRC guys
  3. THIS THREAD IS FOR THE DISCUSSION OF CROSSING THE SVE AND KSPRC VISUAL PACKS TOGETHER INTO A COMBINED VISUAL OVERHAUL. DO NOT POST FILES CONTAINING A COMBINED PACK AS YOU WILL BE VIOLATING THE TERMS OF THE LICENSE USED FOR KSPRC. _________________________________________________ First of all you have to understand what each mod is aiming to do, understand the contents of the packages and how they work... To combine these mods, u basically have to delete the config of one of these mods and give your gamedata the other one. (its not rocketscience, really! ;)) Since I don’t want to discuss each config & feature provided, I’ll just stick to the most common mixtures out there, namely replacing KSPRC’s Scatterer or/and EVE(clouds) config with the one coming with SVE. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Best way to get this running is starting from the scratch: Cleanup your gamedata folder of all configs for one of the above named mods. Especially the BoulderCo folder(http://i.imgur.com/yOtSmgL.png) beeing is the “stock” EVE config provided by @rbray89. Forgetting this is one of the most common mistakes. You should start then by copying the whole KSPRC folder into your gamedata – we can delete things later. Just don’t forget anything. Start KSP and make sure the config is working => quit Scatterer: Since SVE is just coming with a config for Jool & Eve, you can easily copy and replace the scatterer folder form the SVE -archive over to your gamedata. That would keep KSPRC’s config for everything else. If you want to remove the sunflare, feel free to delete the folder Gamedata/scatterer/sunflare Atmospheric (clouds): that’s the most common thing ppl want to replace. You just have to remove the configs in the KSPRC-folder first. Namely it is: - KSPRC\Atmospheres - KSPRC\CityLights After cleaning those folders, you are free to copy the Folder StockVisualEnhancements over to your gamedata. It basically just providing other configs of what u just removed. Addon (KSP1.1.3+): the current KSPRC version comes with an incompatible Kopernicus version. You can fix this by going to the Kopernicus -thread and get the current version. For further updates, please first check all the named components for updates before asking why any of these compilations wont work Thanks ------------------------------------------------------------------------ And thats what u get: Thanks @Speadge for the how-to!
  4. I'd have to ask the same that @SkyKaptn has, I love Proot's work just as much (if not more) as the next person but it is very disrespectful to him to clutter his thread with stuff about my mod and I'd ask you guys to move any conversation about using a conjunction of my mod and his to another topic thread. I'm sure @Proot would approve of the same (you can correct me if I'm wrong ).
  5. Sandstorms will be coming! I think however I am happy with the clouds on Duna so they will stay the same. Thanks for the suggestions though Forgot about that, it should be updated on SpaceDock to show the correct version now. Thanks for the reminder.
  6. It's a bug with EVE, nothing you can do about it.
  7. That is a scatterer issue If I'm looking at the right thing you have circled that's just the 2D layer of clouds...
  8. What is the issue I don't see what he's talking about.
  9. Because that's what the Hydrogen-NTR engine plume looks like.
  10. Problem is not solved then. I looked into the mod you say is conflicting and it isn't. The only thing conflicting with the mod is the base EVE configs that normally would. Extrasolar adds a separate config file for EVE. All you need to do to fix the issue is delete the clouds.cfg file that comes with the base EVE as you only need the one for the Extrasolar mod which comes bundled. Logs are found in your installation folder, the KSP.log and the output_log.txt file in the KSP data folder (or the x64 one), they provide information on an install that would help narrow down an issue. Pictures help me determine if you are ACTUALLY having an issue or if you're overlooking something as has happened many time with people which is why I ask for them. If you want help, just do what someone asks you and not be a smart ass about something. Yeah this isn't how modding KSP works.
  11. I can't help without logs or pictures. Try a fresh install with only SVE (and Scatterer if you're using it) installed and see if it works.
  12. This has some of that. There is a community patch near the end of the thread since it is currently not updated officially for 1.1
  13. The wrath of Nhawks shall be the doom of this world!!!! When he isn't too tired.
  14. xD sorry sorry, I'll leave Hey don't forget to send me that texture when you get a chance too <3
  15. You're looking at in the tracking station. Scatterer doesn't show unless you're flying an active craft.
  16. Yeah... dunno what happend for you the first time. OPM and SVE are two completely different things so they wouldn't be incompatible.
  17. Oh, yes, you're correct that's the cause. The issue is caused from Smokescreen so not until any sort of code is written for that mod to have things scale with tweakscale will we see a fix for this.
  18. Wait what? I feel like you answered your own question here I'll check this and see what's up. It might just be the new plumes introduced a few versions ago and you being used to the old ones.
  19. Glad you're enjoying it, but credit is all @Felger he did all the amazingness here, I'm simply maintaining the mod in his absence
  20. I have the cloud shadows turned down a considerable amount as they really don't look that great with SVE when on full blast so that might be why you can't see them like you could with the base EVE. It's best to upload images to imgur and then copy paste the image into the editor.
  21. I've noticed this in my testing as well. I'm going to try to find out what the heck is going on with that and why the 2D layer isn't disappearing like it should when you're close to it.
  22. Lol bye, totally stealing this, this is amazing.
