Yeah... EVE has never been a requirement to install beforehand. That "Override any necessary files" is actually an artifact from when I had custom Scatterer configs and the install order was different which would've required you to overwrite Scatterer stuff, not EVE files.

@Blacks found the issue, we were discussing it in a PM. He's seem to have found the issue so once I get time again I'm going to test it and put out an update if it does indeed fix it. Those were never the install instructions?

Oh I should also add that I haven't figured out the city lights bug yet (It might just be an issue with EVE) but once I do find out I will put out an update for that.

Everyone give a big ol' shoutout to @Poodmund as this update would've been coming out a week or so from now. He took the liberty of updating the proper configs and such to the latest build of EVE so it's compatible with OPM-VO again and we get the cool new particle system! If there are any problems, I BLAME HIM! Jk But really if there are any problems be sure to let me know. Hey @rbray89 I'm having an issue where my city light textures are showing up double time. From what I can tell, it seems that the detail texture for the night and day cities are being shown both on the ground of kerbin as well as a couple hundred meters off the ground in mid air from where the texture is on the ground. I've tried redoing the city light config from scratch using the GUI and writing it before launching with no luck. This is running the latest development version. The light detail texture is easier to see, I wasn't able to get a good picture of the night but you can still see how blurry it looks. I've tried it without Scatterer and it still persists. Here's my logs to look at if need be. KSP.log output_log.txt Let me know if you need anything else. -
Yeah I noticed that myself as well... I'm going to compile the new update now and I'll see if it's fixed in that.

Yeah I'm aware Poodmund contacted me about it earlier. I have unfortunately not had the time to get SVE updated to the latest build of EVE but thankfully Poodmund lended me a hand and did it for me! He just gave me the necessary things in order for OPM-VO and SVE to work together on this new version, so as soon as I get a get half an hour or so of free time I will put out a new update

If 64k uses Sigma Dimensions to do its rescale then you will not need to change anything. If it does not, I'm not sure. I'm sure there might be some tweaking you will have to do on your own.

Try downloading it manually instead of through CKAN. Also test it with only SVE installed and see if it works.

You need to use the included version of EVE and not any other version of it as some things may not be working. Do that and check it with SVE alone, if it is not present it's not something that SVE is doing.

1. Are you using the bundled version of EVE? If not, do so? 2. Have you tested it with just SVE alone to see if the problem persists? 3. Is everything installed correctly?

The CKAN stuff should be fixed, the people maintaining the SVE CKAN stuff said they did a week or so ago. I will not be updating the CKAN stuff myself so if it never gets fixed it never gets fixed :/

Technically you could make parts of this compatible. Things like terrain and city lights will not work with RSS due to the planet changes.

Oh wait crap.... I forgot... that has the new particle system in it now... err... You'll have to go back to the NRE spam version until I can get the clouds on the new particle system.

A glow effect can be achieved by going over the 255 value on the alpha color value but that doesn't translate to the dark side of the planet. It's the reason why auroras are only seen on the light side of the planet.

Does this mod change the stock engines? If so, that's why. @DerpyFirework any thoughts?

I can't find anywhere in the AJE or RealPlume-Stock download where there is support for the other?

I haven't looked into how Astronomer did the lightning before but it isn't possible to create lighting (yes lighting not lightning ) effects in clouds yet especially on the dark side of the planet where it won't work at all.

1) You can try removing the cirrus layer from Kerbin and see if that's good for you. I won't be changing the density in the release version because I like the way it looks as is 2) The auroras are an area that I think most people claim needs work on. While I would agree, that is very low on the priority list for SVE and would likely not come until a couple of versions after the release. 3) It's funny that people actually like them when I absolutely hate them I plan on revisiting the city lights after the release version is out and completely revamp them. 4) Lightning is currently not possible in the new version of EVE. Don't take my responses as me not taking your suggestions to heart. I really do, every suggestion you guys tell me helps me develop this further.
