  1. It only has a passmark score of 4,300. It's a decent card but it isn't one of the greatest either. I'd expect it to have that kind of FPS impact considering my 970 gets hit hard sometimes too. http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/video_lookup.php?gpu=GeForce+GTX+570
  2. Ok, that makes sense then. SVE adds two cloud layers and an aurora layer on Kerbin so it is definetly going to be more taxing than EVE's one layer. Unfortunately I can't really do anything about this as it just comes with the territory, especially only having a 570 graphics card I know it does, I've said before the CKAN stuff is messed up and I didn't write the netkan for it, I'm not fully endorsing CKAN as I believe installing mods manually is the way to go for KSP, at least until we get a much better mod manager. I'm not saying CKAN is bad I just don't like how it works for mod authors. Yeah, sorry, see my quote above this one about CKAN
  3. I looked up the 530 and it's actually a pretty decent integrated graphics card, you can see here it has some pretty decent numbers so I wouldn't expect it to take such a hit on KSP but then again my GTX 970 gets a big hit sometimes too in KSP so who knows haha Both Hmmm, you had what a GTX 560? I can't remember exactly.
  4. Sometimes the lower resolutions can help but most of the time they don't. Just testing the first option. Are either of you running any other mods besides SVE and Scatterer?
  5. Must be something with EVE then. Sorry @blackrack just a sporadic bug that made it look like Scatterer then. We shall have to wait until rbray updates the mod. If you guys want to try you can revert to a previous version of SVE before the config change was made and you can use the release version of EVE and the base Scatterer configs. Dunno how it'll fair but that bug should be gone.
  6. The different version are aimed at impacting RAM usage, not giving better/worse FPS.
  7. Unfortunately backtracking on the version isn't going to solve everything entirely. There are other issues that will pop up in the old versions, you just have to decide which one you can deal with the most. However, don't go all the way back to 1-04-5 or whatever the latest release is because it won't work with SVE at all. I will be keeping the release of SVE up to date with the latest development version as this technically is still a WIP and bugs are expected Maybe it's not an issue with Scatterer at all @blackrack but something @rbray89 might need to poke, when he gets the chance
  8. Are you seeing this on the main menu? If so, go into the game, you should see it covers the planet properly
  9. Yeah, from the changes you've made recently, nothing really pertained to something that would cause this... I haven't tested with base EVE or KSPRC to see if this occurs with that but I don't see what I could've done to make this happen either... I wonder if it is actually something to do with the version of EVE I have bundled. It's the latest development version he has on github so maybe that's the cause....
  10. Yeah, in my testing the continents didn't disappear, it was only the clouds. It's weird though as I haven't been experiencing this issue until the most recent Scatterer versions (I couldn't tell you which one because I didn't point it out). Dunno what is happening with it though, seems different for everyone?
  11. I thought you asking about Jool was related to this issue that was occurring, no? Apologizes, thought that was in response to the issue
  12. I'm guessing its the render queue that's drawing scatterer effects over EVE effects until you get into scaled space. If you test it without scatterer, you'll notice that the issue goes away.
  13. Ok, it's something with scatterer. Blackrack is working on it so hopefully he'll figure it out soon
  14. I like it! It really doesn't look like much of a big difference that it would effect anything (at least from your pictures). I really like that it fixes the eclipse shadow on clouds. When I was testing the Laythe-Jool interaction yesterday I noticed the eclipse looked really weird given it was making the planet dark but the bright white clouds were still there. I'm in favor of it!
  15. Yeah.... the CKAN stuff is.. weird. I don't know, I didn't set it up, it was set up automatically. I don't know how well SVE is going to do with CKAN honestly. It might get to the point where I have to take it off or get someone who really knows what they're doing to write the netkan for me.
  16. It's actually referring to using DirectX 9, 11, or OpenGL
  17. Cool! Looking forward to see what comes of this
  18. Any more information besides pictures of models
  19. Nevermind, yes it does @blackrack. My bad
  20. I could be wrong, that was a couple of versions ago. I'd have to double check in about an hour.
  21. With Scatterer installed? Last time I checked it all displayed correctly.
  22. You won't get the same clouds but you will have clouds. SVE provides its own textures for clouds and the like.
  23. You should not have EVE and SVE installed at the same time.
  24. Huh... weird, it stopped disappearing for me... I'll test it more tomorrow and poke @blackrack if I need too ()
  25. When you say you split it into small probes, were the plumes not showing after they were detached and you were focused on that craft? Did quick saving and loading fix the issue? I haven't heard of this issue before so I'll probably have to see if I can recreate it.
