If you have scatterer installed (I don't in my build because memory issues and all) I believe it isn't that prominent. - - - Updated - - - Either way I can always take another pass on this stuff. The atmosphere settings are also really finicky in the first place but maybe I'll do that when I stream next so I can get live feedback.
-
Are you talking about for the atmosphere? Yeah I agree, the glow wasn't finished I just wanted to mess around with the rings
-
Uhhh no? Where are you seeing that? I'll probably be streaming later today! Glad you like it
-
Stream is over, I'll stream more next time I work on it!
-
SVE v0.3.2 is out! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SVE v0.3.2 - Jool Cloud WIP Textures - Jool Cloud Configuration Finished -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take a glide through Jool's amazing wonderful 2D cloud of destruction! P.S. I'm going to be streaming further development in a couple minutes if anyone wants to come check out what I'm doing! There's no audio other than my Spotify radio and no webcam Twitch Channel
-
Yeah, I've always planned on adding them, just focusing on the 2D stuff for now.
-
I have three different textures, one is the background and the other two are the lighter belts. I'll adjust the speeds as thats easy to do but I'm not going for 100% real life here
-
Okay so it is the actual planet. That's what I was wondering. Nevermind then I'll see if I can find another way to fix the artifacts. - - - Updated - - - This is what the clouds look like when they move. I personally love it. There's still a lot of stuff I need to fix as you probably can see throughout the clip but I'm getting closer and closer!
-
I might have to check it out. I'm thinking about looking into removing the stock texture as it causes visual artifacts when zoomed out from the planet. Plus there's no need for it to be there if I can remove it without it breaking.
-
Does anyone know if the texture we see for Jool (aka the "clouds") in stock is game engine speaking Jool's surface or can you go below the texture? I've never actually visited Jool with a craft in my actual gameplay.
-
I think I'm getting there...
-
My thoughts as well I'll work on it some more today.
-
What are everyone's thoughts on this one? I actually quite like the darkened look. Oh, also Poodmund yes it is possible. I could get rid of the big spot as that's probably the biggest indicator that it's Jupiter.
-
Yes? No? Maybe? Horrible? Burn it with fire?
-
You don't need to install EVE-Overhaul separately anymore. Just download one of my files from GitHub and extract the contents to your GameData.
-
Bwahaha, it's all good I could make the textures myself but then we'd probably be here when KSP 5.0 is coming out still waiting on me to finish Jool
-
Unless you have cloud maps for them
-
Ah, I use Photoshop, DDS is supported there too, didn't know if there were other programs that had it so it could be edited. I like working in Photoshop better so I usually just do the colors in there.
-
Well I just uploaded the PNG files which are a lot easier to get to editing than DDS. You'll notice the Jool textures are very roughly done in how I implemented them. Its only temporary though. If you want to mess with them feel free.

Ohh, not a bad thought. I'll play around with that and see if I can get something that looks good.
-
I have some progress on Jool, sorry its taken me so long. I haven't been able to make anything I really liked. This is the first thing I've gotten to look decent. It's based off of Jupiter minus the big red spot. Let me know what you guys think. Please keep in mind that the atmospheric effects still aren't in place nor the rings so this isn't what it would look like in the end.
-
Yeah it was the most recent version at the time of my posting. He seems to have updated it again but I'll have to poke that tomorrow.
-
Guys whatever you do don't update to the latest EVE-Overhaul release, rbray changed how some things worked and Proot just posted that there might be a bug where things are showing up pink. I'm going to test it now but wait until I give it the OK to update. - - - Updated - - - Ok so it seems the latest Overhaul version is borked. I believe under rbray's license use of MIT that I can distribute the EnvriomentalVisualEnhancements folder so I'm going to update the download with the version that works. If you already have the old download you don't need to update to this version, its only for people downloading the mod for the first time. - - - Updated - - - SVE v0.3.1 is out! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SVE v0.3.1 - EnvriomentalVisualEnhacements folder added This folder is licensed under MIT. All credit for this work goes to rbray -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Only newbs need this download, Ha Ha!

I am experiencing this issue as well.
