I can't remember off the top of my head but I believe it uses a texture that is used on other planets. I actually don't like the colored clouds myself, I prefer the plain white ones And if by work alongside you mean continue its development when Proot releases it? Yes, I plan on it Which version did you download? Overhaul or Release and which resolution. Jk just saw your post. I'll look into it, might've missed something.

Glad you like it

Okay so here we go.... This is a slightly biggish change in how SVE is going to be developed in the future. As you will see on the OP there are now 'two' versions of SVE you can download, one is the Overhaul version, one is the Release version. I'm not going to go into extensive detail on the differences (you can read them here) but basically one is built on the old EVE-Overhaul version while the other is built off of the latest Release version. The Overhaul version has more features but is a little more buggy. I am going to continue the development of SVE on the Overhaul version because of the additional features (at least until the features are added to the release version). As of now the Release version is going to be at a developmental stop until Scatterer updates to support multi-planets and/or EVE release updates to include the features. TL;DR SVE has two versions, Overhaul will be continually updated. Release will update once EVE release does and/or Scatterer And now onto the changes.... The Release version has everything that the current Overhaul version does minus atmosphere effects and custom terrain. It's marked as 1.0.0 because everything is done that I can really. Again, this version is built off of the latest EVE Release version so if you're interested in that you can get it below. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SVE [Release] v1.0.0 - All planets that need clouds have clouds - Future Updates will include Scatterer configs for atmospheric effects -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The glorious EVE Release demands you download this! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Now regarding the Overhaul version. Things are staying the same. Development will continue like it normally would we just can't use the most recent version of EVE yet. If you're interested in this one (I highly recommend it) you can get it below like usual. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SVE [Overhaul] v0.4.0 - Moved everything to the StockVisualEnhancement Folder - Jool Clouds Finished - Jool Aurora's Added - Jool Ring's Finalized -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Shun the Release users! Use me instead!!

[1.1.2][1-1-2] May 13-2016 EnvironmentalVisualEnhancements

I'm not 100% but I think how it was handled on the old EVE (like old old) was the ability to go beyond the 0-1 RGB color value (we use 0-255 now) which allowed for the "glow" effect. I "think" that's how it was handled but like I said, no positive. I'm sure rbray is going to do whatever he's doing to add them and it'll be amazing. I wonder if there's a way to get things to ignore night time now... They do look really odd as a cloud layer and they go pitch black on the night side of a planet Bwaha you're wonderful. -
Sure thing! I can just add it to my StockVisualEnhancements folder instead of BoulderCo, would that work for you? Edit: At least I believe I can. If I can absolutely. Edit: Yes I can! All of the textures and configs are now in the StockVisualEnhancements folder instead of BoulderCo. I'll update everything once I finish everything I'm wanting to do!
-
Yeah I'm thinking that's what I'm wanting to do. I think I'll hold off on updating anything until Scatterer updates to support multi-planets then I tweak the atmosphere to my hearts content. Or... hmmm I'm stupid. I could just offer two versions *face palm* I start that now.

[1.1.2][1-1-2] May 13-2016 EnvironmentalVisualEnhancements

You can add an aurora texture as a cloud layer with just the 2D effect you just can't make it "glow" -

Hey rbray, can it be assumed that atmosphere support will be re-added in the future or should we just assume Scatterer is going to be the place to go to for atmosphere effects from now on? -
Well he still has the atmosphere code on the github and he said in the thread it's not supported "at this time" so I'm assuming he will add it eventually.
-
So I'm at a crossroad right now guys. It seems rbray has removed the Atmosphere functionality as of right now on the release version of EVE. Now I can either switch to that version and just go without atmosphere (scatterer can compensate for this, it seems Blackrack is going to be releasing a multi-planet support version soon) and continue working on everything else. Or I can continue on the old WIP version that the mod is compiled with now and just keep releasing it with until rbray adds Atmosphere support back. Let me know what you guys think please! I really can't continue working on it until I know what you want
-
I have no idea how to do that but if I figure it out, I can always take a stab at it.
-
Just so everyone following this knows, I'm going to do a super long development session tomorrow so we can finally have an update
-
No clue but maybe the newer versions of EVE-Overhaul have a fix for it. I'm going to be able to test it now that 1.0.5 is out - - - Updated - - - So 1.0.5 still didn't fix the pink everything issue with the latest EVE-Overhaul versions... I don't know how rbray is getting it to work (minus the fact that he codes the mod ) But I just tested it and everything seems to be working fine still with the old version so no need to panic
-
I will release an update when that hits for sure though
-
Just a heads up, development probably will be slow for a couple days.... It may or may not be due to a game that begins with an F and ends with allout......

-
Its not big space wise but it can be a burden on your RAM, especially with multiple visual mods installed.
-
Also, I'm going to be streaming more development around 5pm EST / 10pm GMT - - - Updated - - - Its going to have overlapping configurations. It'll only work if you transfer the configs over or run both old EVE and EVE-Overhaul. If you don't know how to do that, then no
-
Any of the old EVE packs should have them. However, you'd either have to write their configs to fit EVE-Overhaul or run the old EVE alongside EVE-Overhaul. I don't think there are any packs out there that have a completed pack that run off of EVE-Overhaul.
-
Yeah, you don't need to install EVE-Overhaul separately anymore. Just download one of my zip files and extract its contents to your GameData folder, it should work off the bat. The latest versions of EVE-Overhaul are causing that issue.
